Reviews for Quality Inn & Conference Centre Downtown Sudbury
Review 1:Needs an update, carpets are sketchy, sure they are clean but? Should have accessibility to the door closest to our room without one of us having to go through the lobby, possibly using our room key for access.
Review 2:Location, friendliness. Well suited for our needs. Having a restaurant on premises, breakfast was excellent, staff were friendly.
Review 3:Hotel and the room we were in are outdated and were not worth its price $110-130. Toilet was old and you could see a rust all over it. There were no free breakfast, and the waitress was very rude. She literally ignored us for a minute or so and seemed to be annoyed when we ask her if they had a free breakfast. Also she didn't mention that kids eat free (a receptionist did when we'd already left the restaurant). Menu was pricey for the place like that. The worst thing happened when I was taking a shower. Well, they just cut off the water at around 9:30 am with absolutely no advance notice. After I was staying all in soap and swearing to myself for 5 or 10 minutes, they finally gave the water back, but it was all rusty and not suitable for taking a shower. Running it off for 15 minutes did not help. I'm glad it was me in shower and not my kid. The receptionist apologized and even offered a free upgrade next time we stay, but I really really doubt we'll stay here again. So should you.
Review 4:Although location is run-down and scary (especially at night), it's close to all major attractions and downtown area in Sudbury. However beds were comfy and I liked a free wireless Internet.
Review 5:The first room we were assigned to smelled of stale cigarette smoke, had no fridge in the room. Upon moving to a second room we discovered there was a thick layer of dust on many surfaces, the bed linen and towels were torn in several places, there was evidence of water damage on several walls, the toilet was leaking and after asking for help at the service desk, the porter tried a few adjustments, said he was going for a wrench and never returned after breaking the chain inside the tank. There was a foul odour coming from the air conditioner when in use. Have stayed in less expensive places in Sudbury that offered higher quality.
Review 6:Nothing sorry bad kept up place
Review 7:The beds are worn out half the outlets didn't work hot tub is not there the driveway is way bad I will not be staying there again
Review 8:A lil outdated The headboards where very oily n greasy like they have never been cleaned
Review 9:Edward was a great guy, he is who checked us in and directed us to a location to have a late night snack.
Review 10:The room had water damage in the ceiling, the room key did not work and we had to get this fixed a couple of times. It was very difficult to access the hotel parking lot. We had to plug many items in ourselves in the room, fridge, microwave etc. which was awkward because the cords didn't reach the outlet/power bar so we had to move the items in order to make it work and that left the power bar dangling which isn't really that safe. $145 for a room is a lot to pay when you add up some of the quirks.
Review 11:It was a place to crash after moving my friend's daughter to university so it did the trick as a place to rest.
Review 12:The pool was as cold as ice and the walls were paper thin.
Review 13:The location, cleanliness and price were good. The restaurant and staff were quite good.
Review 14:There isn't much to do very close to the hotel.
Review 15:The food at the restaurant was excellent.
Review 16:Nothing
Review 17:Everything
Review 18:Room smelled of stale smoke. Spa gone.
Review 19:The bed was comfortable. We loved the pool for the children.
Review 20:The pool was too cold to swim in my granddaughter wouldn't get in
Review 21:The room was large and clean and it was quite during the night
Review 22:I had a view of the Bridge of Nations from my hotel room. It was walking distance to downtown. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Review 23:The restaurant was closed had to go out for food.
Review 24:The gentleman at the check in desk was very helpful and friendly. Was a pleasure staying in this hotel!!
Review 25:That they removed the hot tub from the pool area.
Review 26:We stayed in a suite which had an amazing full on view of the City. Impressive with all the lights at night. It was very quiet. The bed linen (sheets) were so soft and comfortable. Best sleep in a motel ever.
Review 27:The facility is badly in need of a THOROUGH cleaning (mold/dust in elevator ceiling, esp. around fan, peeling/cracking concrete in pool room ceiling) and proper maintenance. It is clearly an ageing facility that has received a bit of a facelift. I really dislike having to turn on bathroom light fixtures from OUTSIDE of the bathroom; this disrupts those still sleeping if I have to get up in the middle of the night to use the washroom, since I must turn the light on before entering the room. The neighbourhood is clearly run-down and seedy, and it is one of the few times I have felt that I could not walk about at night in the neighbourhood of the hotel at which I am staying. The pool water was not blue due to the colour of the tiles in the walls/floor of the pool; the water was COLOURED blue (with what nasty chemical? Do we really need to expose ourselves to even more chemicals just to have water that appears to be blue?). The pool needs a re-do; there should be a shallow end and a deeper (at least, deeper than 3'6") end. This hotel was the right price at $55/night via Booking.com, but there is NO way I would pay the regular rate of $150 or more to stay there.
Review 28:I liked the price.
Review 29:The plaster was coming off the walls in places, the curtains were missing hooks and the restaurant was not inviting
Review 30:Beds were comfortable, staff polite.
Review 31:Nothing that I can think of...
Review 32:I was impressed by the service from the hotel staff, the cleanliness of the room and the comfort of 'our' (myself and my two younger sisters) room all for a budget-friendly price! It's definitely got my referral thumbs up!
Review 33:not enough bath towels ( only one and there were two of us_ bathroom fan not functioning would have liked to have the option to be able to turn on ventilation as it was warm and a bit stuffy in the room
Review 34:fairly central location
Review 35:I was very happy with the service of the staff and the location. One ofthe beds we had had a very large blood stain on the comforter. The stafftook care of this very promptly. Needless to say it was very disturbingto us. The manager reduced the hotel cost by 50% and offered a suiteupgrade for the next time we book a room.
Review 36:I loved the price and the comfort of the bed, look of room, and very friendly staff. I will definitely book there again!
Review 37:Very welcoming and friendly staff. Spotlessly clean, spacious room and good value for money.
Review 38:Poor internet service. When I called the front desk, he suggested I callthe internet service provider.
Review 39:Decent rates.
Review 40:too slow checking you out
Review 41:Disappointed that hot tub was filled in with concrete - no microwave toheat food for infant. - poor to zero sound proofing
