Review 3：This is by far the best hotel in Rio de Janeiro, beyond the luxury!! Must stay! It starts when you arrive, all the staffs are always ready to help, the hotel itselfs is incredibly beautiful, the rooms are big and clear, the swimming pool is marvelous... It's a fantastic brazilian experience!

Review 7：This is definitely a 5 star hotel, everything is done to the detail. The facilities are impressive, the bedrooms are spacious and perfectly clean.The staff always have a smile and are extremely helpful. Is not cheap, it it is worth it!!!

Review 11：Probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in. We were upgraded to an even better suite than we'd booked, with 2 large balconies overlooking the pool and Copacabana beach. Everything from the bed linen, towels, the comfort of the beds, the service and friendliness of the staff was absolutely perfect.

Review 12：It has an uncomfortable feel about it - it is too far up its own.....to actually have any personality. The staff are rude, at best nonchalent and have an air of superiority that is disengaging The rooms have no tea or coffee supplied you have to order room service for a cup of tea in your room at R$20 a cup! The hotel is disjointed, it has no lobby area to sit and have a cup of tea or a light bite, you have to eat a full meal in a restaurant (or room service) or go out of the hotel, not a bad thing, but it would be nice to have a light snack and a cup of tea or glass of wine by the pool or on a comfy chair. The Piano bar is actually the entrance /waiting area to the Cipriani restaurant. It was just uncomfortable. The JW was recommended to me by my brother and when I go to Rio again this is where I will stay and suggest perhaps you do to, although I am glad I tried it out but I wont go back.

Review 13：location location location - but then there are other hotels on copacobana beach. The building itself is impressive and attracts a lot of attention. Breakfast was pretty good, lots of options and well stocked.

Review 14：The Service Level is poor. The size of the pool area is to small and the sun beds are to Close together if you are lucky enough to find a free one. (poeple start reserving chairs before breakfast which I can't believe the Hotel tolerates) The croistants and pan ou chocolate on sundays where from the day before and tastet accordingly. There is no tapioca which is a typical brazilian dish which is Standard in most hotels. All in all I am not that impressed. Lost of past glory...

Review 16：I know the hotel has a beach setting however Rio is more than a beach resort its a major world City and therefore l think there should be a dress code in this elegant hotel, i.e. no beach shorts and certainly no singlets should be allowed in the Hotel or restaurants at Dinner time?!

Review 29：I just spend the weekend at ther hotel to celebrate a important date with my husband! since we decided last minute and the hotel was fully booked, we paid a very, very, expensive rate (about 3k reais) for one night, but we figured would be worth it since we never stayed there before beacause we live in Rio. The hotel had a wedding for 800 people that wekend, so everytrhing was crazy! when we arrived it took us 30 mins to sit by trhe pool and another 1;30h to get our order (lunch) and the service was terrible, food was ok and drinks were warm! i was so chocked! by the time we got to out room, a nice suite,we figured we had to make the most of it! so we made reaservations for Mee, and again, what a terrible place! service was incredible rude and awful, food was just ok.. not worth the 800 reais check at all. next day, we tried to have a normal day, but again, breakfast was insane, the staff was trying but it was just so busy! no tables, food missing, a mess! same to the pool! we tried a late chack out to have at least one day to enjoy, but not much luck with only 1 hour extra. the place is great, but for sure its not ready for guests when it holds that many people for a wedding! Im starting a luxury travel blog and was hoping trhat my stay there would be the opening review.. but, unfortunatly, its not gonna happen! :(

Review 30：Not one of the 4 restaurants of the Hotel able to accept reservations at night due to Valentines day in Brazil. On crowded nights guests have no preference, so beware and make previous reservations if you wish to eat in the hotel premisses (other than in your room...) ps: Room service food was very good.

Review 32：Hotel has been extensively renovated and feels updated. Lovely clean, comfortable and large room. Service is excellent from check-in to check-out, they try really hard and very helpful! Breakfast is one of the best I've seen. Beach service is a nice touch too. Expensive, but not that much more than other 5-star hotels in the city. Overall, can hardly fault, there'll be no question where to stay next time in Rio.

Review 33：The coffee is not great. Staff generally didn't know what the different coffee types are and how they are made correctly e.g. mocha, late. I accidently left a valuable item in my room. Its now missing.

Review 46：Internet was often interrupted. The worst impression was caused by waiters in Asian restaurants. They didn't put all water or wine from the bottle to the glass, and gathered not empty bottles on the service table. Than what we saw was a kind of very indignating. The waiter put water from different bottles (not only ours but from other visitors as well) into one bottle. After a while he rushed to serve us with this water even if we didn't asked for more water and our glasses were not empty yet. In the bill there was one extra water. We also saw that they charged the next table with some extra. We know this jeitinho brasileiro. But this is something we don't expect to meet in high style holt like legendary Copacabana Palace. Very cheap!

Review 47：First of all it is not a typical net hotel. It's pure history, authentic style, Rio charm. And at the same time it is comfortable and meets up the expectations of modern people. Fantastic breakfast, that can't be easily found in Rio de Janeiro. Snow white linen. Rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable. Very nice swimming pool and outside fascilities.

Review 48：Once I got back home, I checked my credit card resume and realised that (as a mistake- they said) they double charged me the room in my credit card. The mistake was solve, but the bitter moment was unplacent and it shouldn't had happened that in this kind of hotel. It's a shame.
