Review 1：Weak internet signal

Review 2：Nice hotel, with super location, clean and big rooms, super heating, very kind and helpfull stuff. Breakfast is ok for the cost of the room. Recomended for a stay with children.

Review 3：Modestly furnished. Beds aren't very comfortable. The shower was clogged when we arrived (although, they fixed it soon after reported)

Review 7：We had a twin room and stayed two nights. One bed was so uncomfortable I could not get to sleep in it. Neither could my wife, on the second night? Availability of hot water was also an issue.

Review 16：The most uncomfortable bed... Smell in the room...At our arrival we have chance to choose one of two rooms. We chose the room on the first floor. Few words about the room: Probably it is a perfect room and hotel for a ski season. If the purpose of the vacation is to have some skyiing without any, ANY comfort - it is the right place. Our purpose was to have a quiet vacation, and if you are looking for a comfort - it is not the right place. There was a party in the next room and we heard everything, even at 04:00 am... The light in front of our window makes our room so bright even at night (missing curtains). The staff did nothing (see the pictures). Was very cold in the room (it was a beginning of May) and it was so hard to get a heating device from the administration of the hotel... The sauna (paid) was so far away from the meaning of sauna. Or how the sauna should look. A simple sauna in a cold room. I am not sure how this hotel have so high score, but for us - it is a ** (two stars) hotel with average score...

Review 32：The crew was nice and friendly, besides one lady at the reception named Jenia, who always never had a smile on her face & looked unsatisfied and angry with every question we came to ask. The room didn't have AC power plugs, so we had to disconnect the lamp and charge the mobile phones one at a time, The rooms are quite dark, due to bad lighting. In front of the hotel there was plenty of ice which wasn't treated with salt, causing many people to fall. Watch out!

Review 33：The hotel is nice. The rooms were pretty big and each room had its balcony. The breakfast was quite lousy, as the variety was small and many times we had to ask the crew to refill the empty bowls. The hotel has a room to keep your ski gear, and also a sauna (wet and dry), gym, and table tennis with additional cost. One of us celebrated his birthday, and the hotel brought a cake to our room without even asking!

Review 37：Such a great holiday has been ruined by the poorest hotel service.... when the receptionist with terrible English called at 8:25am to say that the airport transfer which had been paid for and agreed a week ago for after 9 is now at 8:30 (in 5 minutes) and they didn't even care whether the bags are packed or not - "the driver will just leave" they said....

Review 48：The choise of the food was good. Besides to the usual types of meat meals, there was a vegetarian dish as well and always fresh vegetable and fruits for breakfast and dinner. Review 49：Minus is not for a hotel, but it is need to write - we haven't cashat all, going to pay by card everywhere. But all cafes worked only withcash. In shops or for buying skipass credit cards can be used.

Review 50：Stayed here from 24/12/2014 to 02/01/2015 in a 2-roomsuite, with a 1-year-old child. Excellent location - close to both theski lifts , good wi-fi, food, staff, cleaning every day. There pinkpong-billiards (5-6 lion), gym (free), sauna (6 lion). Downstairs room forstorage and drying ski-snowboard. Only for Russian tourists - make surethat after booking the money was written off from your account. Wedidn't notice it, and we should pay for lodging during check-out onJanuary for current rate. If not understanding hotel manager IrenePopova, the overpayment due to exchange rate differences could ruin us.Special thanks to her for that. Also this year is lucky with the snow-since December 25 was snowed, almost without stopping. But half of theslopes were still closed.

Review 97：The location was excellent. Only a very short walk to the gondola and ski hire and a short walk to the beginner slopes and ski school. All the restaurants and bars are in close walking distance and as the reception is open all night didn't have to worry about getting back to hotel. The wifi worked in my room and I had a good strong signal. The room was comfortable and warm and the shower was amazing. Just what I needed after a long day in the slopes. The food was good and the seating area in the lobby was warm and comfortable. Very good hotel at a reasonable price

Review 98：The male staff in the hotel are miserable. They do the job efficiently but never smile. They should learn from the female staff.

Review 99：The location is excellent, very close to the Gondola, the main beginner slopes, Rila hotel ski depot, etc.. All the bars and restaurants are nearby. The mini bus to Samakov is right outside the hotel. The heating worked very well. We never felt cold once in the room..We were looking forward to going back to the room because the room is so warm. The breakfast is good and the sitting area and the bar is very pleasant. The female staff at the hotel are very warm, welcoming and helpful.

Review 100：Sauna was a big disappointment. One must book for it at the reception desk in advance and is not free as stated at booking.com. But still, the most unpleasant surprise is the bunch of young people sitting and drinking in the relaxing area, so one is not comfortable using the sauna. The hotel staff could not do much but say "sorry" to us.

Review 102：Bulgarian food is always very "basic". However, the food at the Ela is particularly basic, with little edible choices, luke warm, and nothing decent for vegetarians. No bath, only shower in the en suite.

Review 104：Breakfast isn't good for child 2-4 years - there're no any oatmeal or yogurt, only "cornflakes", but still good for adults. Sauna should be additionally payed. In most hotels it's free for use. No any outdoor playground for child. During our stay there won't any snow, so it's quite hard to play outdoor.

Review 105：Stayed there 2nd time, first time was last year as young couple, and now with 3-y/o child. Every time was good enough. Very nice indoor children playground - my son played every day and didn't want to stop. Good enough location - no noise from drunks (mostly Britishs) who stays at center, 200 meters to gondola, 500 to chair lift. New bar team is much more silent than previous - there're no any noise at night at all (last year there was karaoke), so it's very good for children. Breakfast now starts at 7:30, so early birds can be on slopes at 8:30 :) One advice - try to ask room at lower floors (1-2), it's much bigger than on 3rd floor. At all - excellent for its price.

Review 114：The time of the breakfast. 8am-10.am. For those who want to do as much ski as possible, it's difficult to be at 8.30 (the starting time of the lifts) on the mountain. It would be better if the breakfast time started earlier. Being keen on skiing, when we asked at the reception to have breakfast a bit earlier, the answer was ''you have to wait''.

Review 119：Hotel Ela is ideally located close to the Gondola lift and the village centre. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was included which gave a great start to the day. Could not fault hotel at all.

Review 120：Uncomfortable beds at the hotel. Concerning Borovets in general: Poor but very expensive services, Expensive basic goods. Very hard to find a clean place with nice food.

Review 123：Very good for its price. Nice hospitable barkeepers, clean, large enough rooms. Suites with two separate bedrooms would be great for family with children. It isn't located near the slope but main gondola lift is about 300 meters, and main slopes about 7-10 minutes walking. Because of this it's much more quiet than other hotels but still very close to the lifts. Also, in Borovets there're no any hotels exactly on the slope, so you need to walk 3-5-10 minutes to lift from every hotel. Breakfast is simple and monotonous but good and tasty. I've read in earlier reviews that it was very small - no, now it's quite enough for skier. Billiard is very old, but nevertheless greater than such in Samokov Hotel.
