Review 1:the people in the reception was not always kind with us sometimes they were laughing at me, i think this is a huge problem for an hotel like this so you have to make others teams at the reception

Review 3:Wouldn't let a second guest stay even though got a double room for two. Cross-eyed lady at reception said she didnt have any registration forms for a second guest - very bad mannered also. Also noisy.
Review 4:They have some renovation work and noisy all day even at night and we should complain to let them stop the work at night time. The king bed rooms with sea view are connected rooms and are not well isolated. Missing coffee maker In the room. The hotel has no storage place to put our bicycles!

Review 10:Lifts were slow and one was under renovation, so sometimes took long to go up or down. Also the lifts go up to 16th floor and roof top bar and pool are at the 29th floor through stairs...

Review 22:The hotel is adding a couple extra floors and construction is in course all day, so guests are subject to all the high level noise. Due to the fact that we paid more for our room we got a higher floor and hence we got the priviledge of hearing even louder non-stop pounding and drilling noises. Our American friends who came to this hotel as per my suggestion were placed on the 6th floor and subject to the same noise as well but additionally the toilet from the apt upstairs was dropping "fluid" everytime the guest upstairs flushed down the toilet. Thus, my American friend, who is a physician, had these drops falling on her head several times from Monday thru Friday of last week. The treatment received is just NOT ACCEPTABLE. The hotel did stop the constrution not to bother the customers during World Cup but felt all customesr coming afterwards were not worthy of the due respect and good treament they all paid for!! Upon check-out we related what ocured and, surprisingly, we were offered just the discount relating to a day stay, which is not acceptable. I want to contact the PIC for Windsor Hotels Hedquarters overseeing operations in Brazil to see if we can reach an agreement prior to my contacting the appropriate authorities in Brazil and place a detailed complaint at all touristic related sites. Pls advise contact at Windsor H.Q. Thank you.

Review 67:I first got a room that was supposed to be non-smoking but smelled smoke a lot. Then I changed to another one that was totally dusty. Finally, I got a clean room. However, the hotel is being renovated so it was very noisy. The personel was however very kind and helpful.
Review 68:I have stayed at this hotel a number of times - most because of the location. LEME is a quiet part of the beach, you are in front of the beach and also close to everything. The breakfast is quite good.

Review 71:The staff were very friendly and efficient. They also reacted positively to the situation where the work that was going on (in their off season) was disrupting our trip they moved us for free to a fellow hotel and upgraded our room, no quibbles no fuss.
Review 72:Be warned...taxi's still know it as Othon Leme. There are renovations going on following purchase by Windsor chain - noise kept to the minimum and only during the day. No Internet access due problems with provider.

Review 77:One awful experience of the night manager being very weak in managementand not adhering to our wishes despite pleas from the receptionist. RoomService is a bit of a joke - though with some exploring, its not hard tofind cheaper and better standards of food - even at 3am!

After travelingaround Brazil for a month, this hotel was sincerely hotel of the trip.Excellent (apart from the rebuilding work going on but Windsor have justpurchased this hotel) - ** When booking make sure you know what hotelyou require, there are now three Windsor Hotels in Rio. Also taxidrivers just know the Windsor as the Atlantica .. this hotel is known asthe Leme Palace. Top tip - go to the excellent Italian out of the doorand turn right - open until 4am, cheaper and quicker than room service.Not as nice as the Windsor Atlantica but far far far better than some ofthe other 3 and 4 stars you find in Brazil.

Theworst are the front desk worker, rarely they make eye contact withguests, their attention are concentrated to the little computer monitorscreen in front of them. I am still in pain due the bad quality of theroom mattress. Room was not clean to best standards. Breakfast, do notcount with spontaneous help of waiters, they need to be addressed and"activated" to react to your needs. Front desk very slow,check in and check out are performed by only two clerks that takeforever to take care of guests.
