Review 1：The first room had no hot water and the tap would not turn off. The second room they gave me had no working TV. When I asked for a fully functional room they moved me to a "so -called' upgrade because it was newly renovated. The bathroom was tiny - not even a clock in that room, and smaller bed. When I explained it all checking out they had the audacity to charge me full price. Run - the Baymont Inn in Red Deer is sadly lacking!

Review 2：Very little.

Review 3：What prevents me from rating it higher is a couple of easy things to fix. The hot tub has no benches so you have to stand in the hot tub - it's a little odd and not as relaxing. The pool could be a bit warmer. I had 2 ppl on 2 occasions walk into my room through the patio door because there are not any room numbers on the patio doors. Security also scared the hell out of me by trying to get in my patio door and then banging quite aggressively on the hallway door. I didn't know it was security so for a few minutes I was quite freaked out. Great to know there's security though! The restaurant was closed 2 of the days I stayed which made it challenging and expensive to order delivery from places. The morning "free" buffet I could not use because I am vegetarian (I eat fish) and there was not much available that did not involve meat - including the pre-made omelettes. I ordered off the menu but even that menu had basically one meal I could order - the salmon burger....other than salads. Many places offer veggie burgers and quesadillas and fish tacos, potato skins etc. I noticed the evening menu had a couple more options but not a lot.... It would be nice to have a small microwave in the room. The coffee maker is really senseless. It makes one very small cup at a time and you have to wait quite a while in between cups because the machine will not turn on again for a while. Being only 1 person, the coffee maker was annoying but if there was 2 ppl in the room - it would've been very frustrating not being able to make coffee for 2! I suggest the hotel invest in the 2 or 4 cup coffee makers that most hotels have.

Review 5：Hotel is no longer the Red Deer Lodge. It has changed hands and is now the Baymont Inn. The staff were friendly but the breakfast was poor. Also no hot water on the morning of Dec. 26 Missed having my shower?????

Review 8：I didn't like the fact that they dont take cash. That was all we had. The boss gave us cash to pay for the trip and the damn motel wouldn't accept it! So we couldn't stay the night. I don't know if it was a good place or not.

Review 9：The suite is no larger than the regular rooms - only difference is the dividing wall. This meant that the bed room was tiny with room for a night stand and lamp on only one side of the bed. I really prefer to have a place to put my book, and a light of my own. The rooms are a bit dark. The eggs (scrambled) were sopping in water - don't know where it came from.

Review 10：This is a perfectly decent hotel at the price we got it for. The rooms and beds are comfortable and my kid really liked the central courtyard with the pool (in spite of the fake plants). It was nice that there was a hot breakfast. The staff were all very friendly.

Review 13：The stupid drunks screaming in the hallway at 3 am and slamming doors .. swearing and bangING around .. also the older children not bein supervised by parents.. middle of the hotel is not a place to throw balls around .. we got hit by it when we were in the pool .. and last of all the front desk staff was terrible .. lack of customer service .. elevators were scary pretty sure they stopped a few times .. will never stay here again ... waste of time and money !!!

Review 15：I was under the impression that if I booked on booking.com then I would receive the lowest rate, the rate was 149.00 a night! When we arrived on Friday evening the receptionist didn't realize that we had booked through booking.com and said that it would be 114.00 a night and then she said oh change that as you had booked with booking.com and that will be 149.00 per night! As stated above that's why I booked through booking.com to get the lowest rate!

Review 16：I think that they need to have the breakfast go a bit longer, 7-9 am is not very good. We also wanted to enjoy the hot tub before we left in the morning, but after finishing our breakfast at 8 am, it wasn't open yet.

Review 17：I've stayed here before and it was okay, this time we really enjoyed it and were able to enjoy the buffet breakfast. The rooms were nice and comfortable, it was just enough for my daughter & me.

Review 22：Housekeeping did not make up our room or replenish supplies. I had to call and ask for towels, we booked for 4 people and only had 2 towels in the room. I had to go to the front desk to request coffee packets for the room. Breakfast was disappointing, eggs were watery, and there wasn't much variety. Fan in the bathroom was so loud, sounds like it was going to fall out of the ceiling.

Review 35：Pool and hot tub? The. Markings on the pool for depth are really off. I am 5'2" and at the 5' mark, I couldn't reach the bottom. Also pool should have steps in.... Easier for kids. And what's with the "hot tub".... Ladder in and then what...no seats, just one depth... Needs a revamp. Old hotel needs some updating. Also room wasn't clean. Stayed here years ago for company party. Has really gone downhill. Please update. And we will be back.

We were not even given information about how to walk the shortest distance from the desk to our room. A cleaning staff in the hallway did that for us. Breakfast was poor, they were out of everything several times, with an hour left in service.

Review 43：Excellent staff and management, very beautiful hotel. It doesn't look as good from outside but it is just mind blowing from inside. Spacious rooms and great location. I stayed here for more than a week, the staff is courteous and helpful.

Review 44：Friendly helpful staff. Breakfast buffet had good selection of food options. They actually have a full kitchen so this is not one of those pre-packaged microwaved breakfasts... it is real food, including fruit, oatmeal, yogourt as well as eggs, bacon, sausage, etc.

Review 49：The fridge was not cold and in a cupboard. When I phoned to let them know the fridge was not cold the first night, they said I could keep my things in their fridge at the front. A maintenance man would fix it the next day. Over a few days it gradually repositioned until it was impossible to close the door. The maintenance people were not on shift yet so one of the ladies came up after I called for a second time about quarter of an hour later. She had more strength than I and got it re-centered. A different and newer TV was installed the second day. When I went to see it, the reception was very poor. The maintenance came the next day and had to do something downstairs which cleared it up. But, I figure these things should have been in good running order when I came in. Accessories were not replaced (make up remover pads), tea bags. Internet access was being denied with my room pass because the certificate was too old. They gave me instructions how I could access it another way. Hmmm?

Review 50：The restaurant staff were excellent and made people feel welcome. There was a very nice hot buffet provided from 7am to 9am.

Review 51：The beds were old and had a dip in them. Pool was not much fun for the kids as it was cold and no slide or anywhere to sit in the hot tub. I had rented the room so kids could have fun at the pool.

Review 57：The times of the complimentary breakfast. The cutoff time of 9 am was far too early. If you don't have to leave early it is pointless getting up just for the breakfast. I think that should be extended to at least 11 am. The same time as checkout. This was very disappointing. As we spent another 65.00 on breakfast somewhere else. This was one reason why we booked at your hotel.

Review 59：I booked here because the restaurant was right in our hotel and we would not have to travel. Turns out it was closed the night we arrived and then closed again on Sunday nights. I did not see notification about this until we went to use the dining facility. Surprise!!!

Review 64：We booked a junior suite cause we were travelling with our 3 kids aged 12, 3, and 1.5. Our suite was directly outside the pool which was perfect with the little ones. Breakfast buffet was really good and the staff serving the buffet were friendly which you don't always get when it's buffet style. Pool was clean and so was the hot tub. Location was great.

Review 80：The breakfast even though it was free with the room was cold and not to our liking. For guests that stay more than two nights it was unapealing. Not eveRhone likes yogurt, bacon eggs, pancakes and cereal every morning. I would have liked vanilla yogurt as I have allergies to strawberries so whenever I see pink yogurt I stay away. I think fresh fruit would be nice and maybe have something different on the weekends. We have stayed I Red Deer a few times and I think this is the worst time that we have experienced. I think next time we will stay somewhere else.

The farmers market held in the hotel was a wonderful surprise to find on Saturday morning. It was out of the main hotel area, but not too far to take a peak after breakfast. So convenient!

Review 101：The receptionist during our check-in (2 Aug 15) was not helpful. We requested a room on a higher floor but she said higher floor rooms were not ready as they did not have staff for cleaning because it was a holiday. I had requested a quiet area but she said the hotel was not full so any room is quiet ??? (if the hotel is not full how come no rooms on upper floors had been prepared). The carpet in the room 263 was badly stained and the carpet in the elevator area was also dirty. The next morning the receptionist said that room had not yet been renovated. We told her our concerns and suggested the previous receptionist should be removed from her position. She was very understanding about our complaints and would pass them to the manager.

Review 108：Friendly staff nice atrium style building structure with decorated pool/ garden area in the middle. Kids friendly and breakfast was great. FD managed to accommodate all three rooms we booked at the same area with early check in.

Review 113：For the price, breakfast should have been included. We were given vouchers that were good for two hours first thing in the morning. Neither myself or my friend wanted to be up for 7am so the voucher was useless.
