Reviews for Zunfthaus zur Rebleuten

Review 1:The room was advertised with a TV but didn't have one The wifi didn't work in our room The coffee machine didn't work There was a face washer stuffed in a hole in the wall of our room to block the hole!

Review 2:good location and close to train station

Review 3:Bathrooms were not the cleanest and very small. Also, the maid came in without knocking and never came back to service the room; had to ask the night attendant for fresh towels and bathroom stuff for the night.

Review 4:The breakfast was very good with fresh bread and great coffee.

Review 5:The hotel is an amazing historical building, in the centre of the old town but quiet. The room was small but neat and clean with a sink. The bathroom down the hall was also very clean. Good breakfast.

Review 6:Male waiter. Didn't look happy when I asked for help with bag. Room totally basic. No TV control.

Review 7:The restaurant. The owner. The location not far from the train and liked the old town.

Review 8:Rooms are quiet dated and the beds a little uncomfortable - it's a very old building, but that's part of the charm isn't it?

Review 9:I'm a guy and I squealed with delight when I opened my window and looked out across the cobblestone square and fountain outside my window. This hotel is straight out of a fairy tail picture book. Close enough to the train station to be handy, but benefiting from being in the Old Town.

Review 10:Had to carry luggage up one flight of stairs to get to reception, and then up the stairs further to rooms. Shared toilet down the hall. Hard to find and a long walk from train station.

Review 11:Charming Bavarian hotel.

Review 12:The room we had was on the third floor with no elevator. They advertised air conditioning, but we had only an oscillating fan set at the foot of the bed. The WiFi signal was weak.

Review 13:The location of the Bernina Express that can go from Chur to Tirano Italy, or Lugano Switzerland. The food in the restaurant was good. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Review 14:It was all wonderful!

Review 15:The town and hotel were both so wonderfully old and authentic! The hotel staff and view were also wonderfully warm and inviting. The breakfast was out of this world with such gracious service!

Review 16:-room size is very small -though we told the staff about the TV did not work , he just replied it was out of order and did not take any action to repair or change the room for us

Review 17:free wifi did work smoothly

Review 18:Near by is construction site so it's a bit nosicy. But in the Night it's OK.

Review 19:No lift but staffs are willing to help. Room is big and location is great, near train station and Bus stop. Resteraunt inside Hotel also good. Wifi in hotel is good. Breakfast is Ok.

Review 20:No lift meant carrying luggage upstairs to Reception and then to accommodation but staff did help with this.

Review 21:Within walking distance of train station. Relatively easy to find using Google Maps. Local business people helped with directions. Good communication in English appreciated. Enjoyed buskers festival.

Review 22:No elevator had to carry all the bags 3 floors up and down.It was very hot and had no air conditioning. Not enough power outlets to charge phones, computers, iPads etc. Small room and too expensive for what they have to offer.

Review 23:The staff and the breakfast was good.

Review 24:We couldn't get on the internet, very slow and kept dropping out.

Review 25:We liked excellent breakfast served by great staff. Also the room was clean and neatly presented.

Review 26:When I wanted to check out in 7 in the morning and have the breakfast, which was promised to serve between 7-9:30, there was no one in thereception. I called the number and no one answered. The breakfast roomwas empty, not to mention the breakfast itself. I waited there tillalmost 8 and I had to go to catch a train. Then a staff ran downstairs, murmuring "sorry." Apparently it was a typical sleep-over-scene. I told him I had to catch a train and I didn't have time forbreakfast, and I won't pay the full price because of this reason. But he still asked me to pay the full price, and I had to repeat againthat it is not acceptable that you failed to provide breakfast on time.Only afterwards he agreed reluctantly on reducing 10 chf. I was trulyspeechless for this outrageous service and my first night inSwitzerland. Thanks hotel Zunfthaus zur Rebleuten.

Review 27:The room itself is good, most of the staff are friendly. But in themorning I was really shocked by their terrible, unprofessional service.

Review 28:We had to climb 2 floors up. But it's acceptable,

Review 29:Free upgrade from quadriple room to two double room. The building is historical and looks beautiful. Location is in the middle of the old town and easily accessible to major sights.

Review 30:A small bit noisy overnight from the bar downstairs- but not a big deal. No air conditioning either, but the rooms are big and airy so despite the heat, it didn't bother us

Review 31:Location, staff, breakfast (simple but delicious), fantastic bar in the hotel. It does feel slightly more like a high end hostel than a hotel, but this wouldn't stop me staying again or recommending to anyone!

Review 32:-we waited quite a while to check in as the front desk isn't monitored and no way to contact someone. Later at night, had a question but no one was around. -bar downstairs catered to rowdy, loud, inebriated locals who were oblivious to those wishing to sleep until 3am-ish when they left (loud yelling, whooping and hollering etc) -front room had a great view, but noisy when the bar below opened at night. -scheduled breakfast in the morning didn't happen!!! 45 minutes after it was scheduled, no was there to set it up. We actually did see the bread delivered that morning was still on the front porch :(

Review 33:Loved the ambiance of this 1480's hotel. Great location on a cobblestone street. Wifi worked well. A short 10 minute walk to hotel from train station (slightly uphill on walk to hotel).

Review 34:Chur was a great, happy surprise and we loved walking around the old town with its cute bars and restaurants and lovely buildings. This hotel doesn't have onsite parking or a lift but it is worth it for the location. Hotel built around 1493.

Review 35:The only negative was carrying our luggage up 2 flights of stairs (we are seniors!), although we knew that when we planned our stay.

Review 36:The staff was very friendly and the historic building was a fun place to stay.

Review 37:The staff were just wonderful, & so helpfully, they could not do enough for us. Hotel was very comfortable, & great location in the old part of town.

Review 38:Thin hard towels, lack of power points. Power board supplied but not connected to anything Restaurant not open for meals day we arrived

Review 39:Breakfast was very good

Review 40:There is no one at the reception before 4pm; the internet code only works for one devise; there is a bar in the ground floor so the building smells of cigarette smoke.

Review 41:Well located.

Review 42:Of course there is no lift but when in Europe do as the Europeans do and take the stairs.

Review 43:I was pleasantly surprised with the high standard of bedding and cleanliness. The pure beauty of this 15th Century building is astounding. The food and service at their restaurant is excellent! The Chef visits with all the guests when the cooking is done, an all round great experience. Many locals also dine there. When I pass by this way again this will be my first choice for accommodation and food.

Review 44:Had dinner in one of the 2 dining halls. Unfortunately I chose the one with a door leading to a fumoir, and the smell of smoke was quite strong. Recommend the other hall for non smokers!

Review 45:Central location, friendly staff. Small sparsely furnished room, comfortable bed.

Review 46:Asked for a quite room...201 next door to shared bathroom, thin walls, listen inf to snoring from room next door. People talking in hallway, breakfast wasnt a great choice. Pay extra and go else where!

Review 47:Could hear the television in the next room sounded so loud as if it was in our room. The bedroom was basic and very dated, and not the quality of the breakfast/restaurant rooms which were wonderful.

Review 48:Friendliness of staff

Review 49:Old furniture and bath, view not very stunning (wall) and it was quite noisy at night, insulation=zero

Review 50:Small but nice breakfast, fresh bread etc, location at the old town, staff friendly, fair price

Review 51:There is no elevator; but that wasn't a big problem for us. The stairs were very manageable.

Review 52:Our room was large with a sitting area and a balcony. Storage space was above the norm. Bathroom was spacious and well-equipped. Big TV screen was a bonus. The attached bar/reataurant was a plus. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. I think that since this is a family owned established the staff were more than agreeable and helpful. We would most certainly return.

Review 53:Wifi poor on 3rd floor. A little too far for us to walk to/from train station with luggage.

Review 54:We loved this place. The stairs were a bit of a hike, but the room awaiting us made it worthwhile. The old town was a joy to walk around in the evening. Breakfast was substantial. Perfect stay for us before hopping on Bernina Express in the morning.

Review 55:Stained carpet ...the quality of the tea and in particular the coffee

Review 56:Human quality Old features and atmosphere especially in the breakfast room Good breakfast but...

Review 57:We didn't like the stairs and getting our suitcases up And down but in fairness, the staff did come and help with the bags. We ended up having dinner there but glasses of wine were very small. Food was ok...not much choice as it was a Monday night and most restaurants were closed!

Review 58:The quaintness of the place made it charming. Staff was friendly making it feel somewhat homey. Bed was very comfy.

Review 59:No elevators, so not good if you have heavy luggage.

Review 60:Extremely clean. The coffee machine was not working but got fixed very quickly as we pointed it out. The view from the window was very serene. The beds were super comfortable. It was very charming overall and I would say a romantic setting.

Review 61:staff were quite short when I realised my glasses on the trip and called them to ask if theyd found them. basically hung up on me.

Review 62:clean room, friendly staff, lovely traditional restaurant and decor, great location, free wifi

Review 63:Hotel feels tired; I understand in an old building that remodeling structurally is difficult, but some simple upgrades would go far. Needs new carpet, paint, etc.

Review 64:Location was lovely in the heart of old town, and the price was steep by American standards but decent by Chur standards. Wifi worked great.

Review 65:Der TV war schlecht platziert, etwas zu klein. The TV was poorly placed, a bit too small.

Review 66:Lage, Frühstück, freundliches Personal, Restaurant war super, Historie. Location, breakfast, friendly staff, restaurant was great, history.

Review 67:Rien! Nothing!

Review 68:NNothing! Rien! Nothing and nothing but I have to pay!

Review 100:Position, kindness of the staff, breakfast, room and bathroom perfectly clean

Review 108:Quaint and great old town location. Quiet, spacious downstairs eating areas and pub, large room

Review 109:Did not speak English

Review 110:Breakfast room

Review 111:Bathrooms need renovation. Cost per night too high given room quality

Review 112:History of building, it was a wine guild, its highly decorative public rooms, ex: dining room. Service very professional.

Review 113:There was no safe and no mini-frig.

Review 114:This is a lovely, small hotel located in the pedestrian area of the old city. The staff was truly excellent and helpful. The room was very nice and had good spaces for luggage and clothing. The bathroom was very nice, and larger than those in many small European hotels. The dining room is quite impressive looking. We chose to have dinner in the hotel one night during out stay. It was the most outstanding meal during our month in Europe. The hotel is located in a beautiful area of shops and restaurants. The nearby creek was also very pretty. Except for the lack of a safe and mini-frig, this hotel would deserve a 10! My wife and I may go back to Chur in two years, and we would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Review 115:When booking in, the duty "manager" was having a personal chat on his phone. Had to ask twice for wifi codes. He did show us to the room but wasn't very attentive. Room very dated.

Review 116:Location. Short walk from station. Good breakfast - breakfast staff were pleasant.

Review 117:the bar was for smokers and non smokers had to sit outside. the room wasn't touched during the three days of our stay.

Review 118:it was in a very historic part of the town

Review 119:Shower doors were very dirty on the inside. However, we got greatresponse from staff when we mentioned it and it was cleaned.

Review 120:Very, very nice staff; awsome restaurant recommend to try it at leastonce for dinner food was superb!!! Desert must: Chilli Plums withvanilla ice cream.

Review 121:The accommodation was advertised as non smoking but the bar down stairswas full of smokers and the smell went right through the hotel. The placeabsolutely stank of smoke, including the bed linen, the door did notclose properly and there were many more rooms that shared the bathroomthan stated on the web site. My children were cold overnight and therewas no extra blanket. It was the worst place( and the most expensive) westayed in the 5 weeks we travelled. We would never recommend it and I amconsidering writing to the Chur tourist bureau.

Review 122:The location

Review 123:The heavy cigarette smoke from the bar eventually wafts its way up thestaircase to the bedrooms.

Review 124:We had a Fantastic meal in the restaurant, highly recommended and goodvalue if you prebook on booking.com. Delightful dining room and barareas. Our room had views to the snowy mountains.
