Reviews for Villa Bizantium
Review 1:Staff not identifying with their guests, i am not a native to the country and it was my treat to my guests, yet when it came to booking in and paying, ii was ignored until my guests pointed it out to them.
Review 2:Food was good at breakfast and for dinner there was also a reasonable menu. Close to the old town, under cover parking.
Review 3:We can't find anything to complain about .
Review 4:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay even extended our stay an extra 2 days. The staff were brilliant , most spoke perfect english,(we are english living in Bulgaria ) quite young ,but extremely professional and courteous. The restaurant was outstanding and the desserts were ' to die for 'The rooms were spacious and clean and luckily our room had a large balcony giving us a brilliant view over the sea and Sozopol. We would certainly recommend this hotel especially if you want peace and quiet but only either a leisurely walk or 5 min car ride into the old town.
Review 5:The access to the beach is a little bit difficult because of the main road cross-over.
Review 6:Nice and elegants apartments, good services quality and very kind staff. Very good and refined the ”Constantinopolis” restaurant.
Review 7:The access to the beach, although it was very close, was quite awkward.
Review 8:The view of the sunset from our living room. Also the size of the suite & rooms and the design of the hotel generally. And the staff were very friendly.
Review 9:Wifi was terrible in the rooms. Couldn't actually use it in one apartment. Far from city center but there is a shuttle bus that is a 5min walk aways.
Review 10:Clean spacious rooms. Friendly staff who try hard with English.
Review 11:A bit of a hike (~25 min.) from Old Town Sozopol, but this is made up for by the views.
Review 12:Charming location in a quiet area right by the sea, super friendly staff, nice pool area and bar.
Review 13:The parking in the underground garage is extremely tight if you have a large-ish car. The female manager (?) would benefit from being more friendly to non-Bulgarian customers. When we checked out, she was present and never made eye contact or thanked us for our custom. Very disappointing. Often, there was no-one present to serve drinks/cocktails on the terrace, a number of excuses were proffered.
Review 14:Fantastic, new, and spacious two-bedroom apartment in a wonderful hotel. Great room furnishings and lovely pool. Very convenient for Sozopol. Highly recommended. We really enjoyed our five night stay here.
Review 15:Short of basic self catering equipment in the rooms kitchen, ie knife, fork and spoons. Other then that very very good high standards.
Review 16:Great staff, exccelemt place,
Review 17:Can't think of anything I've disliked.
Review 18:Location of the hotel (far from the noisy and busy old town of Sozopol), the rooms are huge, a lot of space, well furnished, well-lit and included everything you may think of. Great breakfast selection.
Review 19:Villa Byzantium is a great place for a vacation in all seasons. We came for a short break in the beginning of May and we stayed two weeks. The place possess the atmosphere of the old Byzantine buildings with a lot of decoration of stone mosaics and another ancient artifacts. The personal is extremely friendly. The Master Chief Evelina is one of the assets of the place. The restaurant Constantinople offers great salads, pasta and many other Italian style dishes. SPA center is a place to relax after spending the day on the beach or hiking in the near mountains.
Review 20:Nothing to complain about, would recommend it anytime!
Review 21:Everything was perfect: extremely polite and helpful staff, spotless clean, huge apartment with a wonderful sea view, underground parking, really good food
Review 22:unfortunately we came off season and the pool was closed but overall we highly recommend this place
Review 23:it is a wonderful hotel, apartment was spacious and overlooking the sea. Staff was extremely polite and attentive, even had the breakfast in the room. Great value for money
Review 24:This is a high class hotel with quality and taste in each detail. Excellent restaurant where every dish is a piece of art. The apartments are spacious, clean and with a design furniture. The hospitality and service of the staff also impress. This is a unique place which really stands out compared to the typical resort hotels.
Review 25:Confusion over booking confirmation - had to move apartment during stay. Pavement between Hotel and Sozopol is not complete. Quite a difficult walk to town along a busy road.
Review 26:The apartments size and facilities Secure Onsite Parking Friendly sized hotel
Review 27:no balconies (very strange for a sea-side property) rooms smell of smoke (although smoking is not permitted) dirt under sofas (was not cleaned in the last year at least)
Review 28:nice swimming pool nice views spacious apartments underground garage
Review 29:The apartments were advertised with 2 bathrooms but only one had showerwhich is a problem for 4 people. (The manager apologised and gave us 10%discount because of that)
Review 30:The food in the restaurant is excellent. The staff is perfect and verypolite - especially the girl at the reception!!! The apartments are niceand specious. I like the location since it is out of Sozopol and youavoid the crowd but if you want to go to party in the city you have totake a taxi on the way back or walk long :) The swimming pool (with saltwater) is very nice. Spa centre is very nice as well.Definitely will come back to the hotel!
Review 31:Big, specious and nicely equipped appartment. Attentive Staff ready to help you. Good restaurant onboard - also breakfest quite various and tasty.
Review 32:Good and wellcoming stuff, reach breakfast, quite area, wifi ok. Parking included.veiw from the room good.
Review 33:Great staff, very helpful when we had a flat tyre, and good location about a mile out of Sozopol
Review 34:Nothing
Review 35:Room very spacious clean and comfortable hotel food to a good standard spa club very nice and clean outside pool terrace a nice area to relax.
Review 36:The A/C didn't work so it was stuffy.
Review 37:It was a nice location with a good view.
Review 38:I couldn't find anything
Review 39:Just perfect
Review 40:Shame that there are no balconies
Review 41:Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
Review 42:Not a place for short visits. No balcony and not a good pool
Review 43:out of season our fault, hotel and Sozopol relatively deserted. Restraunt ok but not as good as you would of expected.
Review 44:hotel was very nice. modern but built in traditional style. Luxury accomodation at a bargain price.
Review 45:Practically no access to the beach and to Sozopol (only along the busy and narrow road); Only one recepcionist who was competent and spoke English; There were no possibility to prepare any food (or even tea or coffee) in the room and poor breakfasts in the hotel restaurant. Definitely not for families with young children
Review 46:Comfort, spacious and clean rooms, nice building and hotel swimming pool
Review 47:Kitchen equipment was very basic - cups/saucers/teaspoons/glasses but not enough to be self-catering if thats what you're looking for. On a postivie note we requested a kettle which was provided very quickly so additional equipment may be available on request.
Review 48:Friendly staff, well furnished and spacious apartment rooms, breakfast fine - above average for Bulgaria. Restaurant ok but limited menu. Overall summary is good but not great.
Review 49:Staff is quite friendly and ready to help. New building of the hotel is clean and comfortable. Location is brilliant due to the quite place ideal for the family vacations.
Review 50:Although the kitchen is super equipped, we had no plates or cutlery, even a kettle to make our morning coffee. The only dishes in the kitchen were the cups for the coffee. I asked at the reception where we can serve breakfast and we were told they do not serve breakfast. I also asked for the kitchen pots and we were told that there are no ohers, although in the apartment next to us was a complete set of 12 persons.
Review 51:conditions were excellent, the apartments are new, spacious, everything is impeccably clean and bright.
Review 52:Lack of microwave, kettle and utensils in the kitchenette, no easy access to the beach...
Review 53:Beautifully furnished apartments
