Reviews for Villa List
Review 1:It was outstanding, the room was nice, the staff- kind, the location- perfect both close to the beach and the old city. There was enough to see and experience at reasonable price. I would visit again and recommend it to all who would like to experience Sozopol.
Review 2:The staff were all very helpful and polite, a very good choice for breakfast and the hotel was clean and tidy. Thie is the second time my wife and I have stayed at Viiv List and we will be booking again and will recommend to others.
Review 3:When parking was full, the reception staff simply stated this as a fact and did not offer to solve the problem proactively. After I protested, they found a place for our car, however they should have done this without me even raising an issue in the first place.
Review 4:Clean room, close to the beach, very good location, decent food.
Review 5:More Basic than four star but it didn't really matter as it's not expensive and the breakfast terrace is worth every cent.
Review 6:Wonderful location for the beach & old town and anything in between. Would stay here again gladly. Internet signal is a hit or miss and the facilities are more basic than the advertised four star. But it's great value for money in sozopol. Their morning breakfast is absolutely wonderful. The terrace alone overlooking the sea is worth every minute spent at this property. Go for it!
Review 7:They have a gym but it is not very good. Mostly families/couples so not good for solo travellers to meet people.
Review 8:Extremely good location both close to center and basically on the beach.
Review 9:The personnel has different (more negative) attitude towards Bulgarian tourists (especially younger individuals) in comparison to foreign tourists...even though you pay the same price!
Review 10:The hotel has a very convenient location, it offers beautiful views and it is quite clean!
Review 11:Expected an upper floor room with a view balcony but were given a room tucked away behind the bar on the first floor. It had a small balcony but was inundated with cigarette smoke from the area below. No room safe, but safe deposit box was provided.
Review 12:Good location for walking the waterfront area but unfortunately too close to the "Carny" area of rides, games, etc. between this area and the old city area. Very plentiful breakfast.
Review 13:Service is poor. Only the prise looks good, but then you wish they would charge more and do better. Had two reclamations for cleaning and ironing. Every service you have insist to be done and insist again to be done better. So learn some Bulgarian before you go there!
Review 14:Fantastic Kids Club and Babisitting! Location and Seeview is great.
Review 15:... As I mentioned before, "funny looks" from some people. I haven't felt 100% it's a gay friendly place. Also, on the website while I was booking a hotel it said single traveller friendly, but I got an impression that all tourists staying in hotel were famies, with lots and lots of kind, couples etc. In addition, I'd improve English knowledge for some staff members as sometimes I had to try hard to be explain or be understood.
Review 16:First, I have to say the location is awesome... Easy access to the beach, shops, ATM few steps away, the old town is 5 min away. I have really enjoyed the food: great variety of everything for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The view from room was fantastic - seaside&beach, as I've chosen making my booking. Staff was friendly, though sometimes I was given "funny looks" from certain people what was based, I reckon, on me being gay or/and dressing up less conservative than locals (but that's only my impression). Also, my room was clean at all times, though sheets weren't changed. Amazing help provided by reception staff on a day when I had difficulties doing my check in for flight ticket, they have printed out my ticket and had smiles on faces at all times. Great location, nice and bright hotel, good value for money!!!
Review 17:poor quality of coffee
Review 18:Great location (close to the sea and the old town); good decoration of rooms and spaces inside th hotel; pleasant and helpful staff. Good breakfasts (for 4 stars hotel).
Review 19:Weh ordered sea view room, the tried to give us street view. After I show them the registration doc. they gave me the sea view room. The hotel charged me in the booking day.even in book.com saying that the payment will be arriving day. Breakfast food was poor and not fresh. The room was not as shown in the photos. Bed no confort. Old room decoration.
Review 20:The location. Wiew from the room. And near the beach.
Review 21:Apart from having to leave nothing at all.
Review 22:Everything from the politeness of all the staff to the ambiance and location. A good choice for breakfast, my wife and I only stayed for two nights but we could have easily have stayed longer if time permitted. Would recommend and in fact have already done so to others.
Review 23:Don't be tricked when you see on booking.com saying last chance only 2 room left or only 1 room left, this is all rubbish, they just want to trick people. When I booked the room on booking.com saying hurry only 2 room left. when I got to the hotel it was almost empty only 20% of the hotel was occupied, The Villa List hotel basically not more than 2 stars, I don't know where they got 4 stars from? Maybe they bought it in fruit market
Review 24:All staffs specially bar staffs were very friendly and helpful, very excellent customer services. To me the best hotels outside sozopol are; 1: Santa Marima 2:Saint Thomas
Review 25:1.The view from our balcony was amazing. 2.Location (close to the beach and old town). 3.The staff was friendly and very helpful. 4.The room was always clean (thanks to our housekeeper ANI).
Review 26:- perfect location in the very center of the new town and at the same time by the beach - excellent service - amazing view - rich breakfast - spacious rooms
Review 27:Great location. Restaurant is for group tourists, the rooms are ok
Review 28:food variety not enough
Review 29:close to old town and beach
Review 30:bathroom, no food diversity
Review 31:outside area, location
Review 32:Excellent location and magnificent views over the Old Town of Sozopol.
Review 33:Le wifi, l isolation phonique : bruit
Review 34:Le service, l emplacement, la piscine, le rapport qualite prix
Review 35:No wifi. No pool facilities as out of season. Coffee.
Review 36:Staff. Breakfast. Price.
Review 37:Polite staff, good breakfast and an unique view to the old town and the sea.
Review 38:All
Review 39:Notthing
Review 40:Dirty rooms, old furnishing, poor fitness, no parking
Review 41:Location only
Review 42:To leave
Review 43:Food,service,room,breakfast, the fact I could use elevator to pool or beach
Review 44:The hotel amenities are 4 star but many of the rooms are not. We encountered a number of issues in our first room, including curtains that didn't cover the windows, a missing phone in one room, lights that didn't work, a shower curtain that was not attached to the wall and fell while I was taking a shower and other small annoyances that appear to be the result of a lack of reinvestment in the rooms. The hotel is clearly operating on its location and can get away with some sub-standard accommodation. You need to be careful of the room you book. Some are great and some are bad.
Review 45:Fantastic location. Nice pool. The breakfast was very good. There was a problem with the first room we were given and the management responded to the problem well. After the problem with the initial room, we were moved to a superior room with A/C and a balcony overlooking the Black Sea. This was a very nice room.
Review 46:The pool area provided sunbeds from early morning. However it was impossible to get a sunbed because towels were placed on the beds. 8 were not occupied until 4 in the afternoon. They have a policy it should be enforced.
Review 47:The hotel was lovely fantastic views and great staff.
Review 48:TV wasn't working; problems with Wi-Fi; sophisticated parking; instead of requested in advance twin room we got one bad; ants in the room!
Review 49:Central location
Review 50:dirty moldy smell in room, sewer smell coming from floor drain, no shower curtain in bathroom, unable to get a chair next to the pool because people would reserve them with towels the night before
Review 51:location, view of beach from room, steam room in basement
Review 52:Little expensive for what you get... Sozopol has beautiful beaches but the atmosphere in the streets is a little too much "touristic" with tons of restos, kiosques and fair games...
Review 53:Very nice and comfortable.
Review 54:The breakfast could have been more varied for a hotel this nice.
Review 55:Great loaction and a nice hotel. The beach is close, and if you walk down to the old city you find lots of nice restaurants and also a lot of activities for children and family.
Review 56:The cleaning staff did not bring additional shampoo and shower gel for the whole 4 days stay. Obviously they felt 2 shampoos and 2 shower gels are quite enough for the whole stay. Also, nobody recharged the mini-bar for the whole stay.
Review 57:The breakfast was not good and the staff at breakfast was usually unhappy (the only not-nice people in the whole hotel). The hotel has a policy against reserving sun beds with towels (says the hotel house rules document), however they have not found a way of implementing it and all the sun beds were reserved by 8:30 every morning.
Review 58:The best thing about this hotel are the staff! Wonderful, sweet and helpful, they were what made us feel at home. The rooms are nice, comfortable and clean, but nothing special, the view from our room, however, was stunning! Do specifically request a sea-view room, it is absolutely worth it. The location of the hotel is great - right in the middle between the old and the new part of Sozopol, close to all the little shops and restaurants. The only thing between the hotel and the beach is a pretty little garden.
Review 59:No Wi-Fi in the room! Towels were not change during 4 days (I'm not sure the room was cleaned). The room was very small (I booked a double room, but it looked like a single), air-condition was really poor. The sink in the bathroom was incredibly small...
Review 60:Really good location, good swimming pool, friendly staff.
Review 61:Bathroom appliances a bit degraded, air conditioning was not working due to the heating/cooling scheduling implemented in the hotel. Parking is actually on the street un front of the hotel but I was instructed not to park ther due to some construction work which never actually occured
Review 62:Location is great, close to the beach and to the main stores and restaurants. Breakfast is excellent. Swimming pool is very clean. Staff speaks acceptable english and is willing to help. Maids are trained to create shapes out of towels such as roses, bunnies, hearts and so on which they place on the bed
Review 63:The hotel should not cost more than 50 Euro in High season. This is only due to its location. Internet wifi is practically missing. BB - food is poor for the money paied.
Review 64:Location is just on the beach and just next to the old city. This gives you excellent view and more quite environment.
Review 65:the indoor pool and Jacuzzi were cold which was a disappointment as it was to early to swim outside also you could not get a coffee after ten o'clock at night until 8o'clock in the morning at breakfast
Review 66:hotel was value for money
Review 67:Hotelat e prekrasen. Gledkata kam moreto sasto! Idealna chistota v baseina. Personalat e vnimatelen i vsichko beshe na super nivo! Blagodarim!
Review 68:The location and views from the room couldn't be better. The restaurant was surprisingly good, if simple.
Review 69:good food , good location, very clean
Review 70:Staff, location and good facilities.
Review 71:Staff is very nice. Room is convenient. Breakfast is very good.
Review 72:The location is ideal and the facilities were excellent. The staff were really helpful and courteous and the hotel was spotless.
Review 73:I was happy with everything
Review 74:Very helpful reception staff and an excellent spot by the beach, providing a fantastic view of Sozopol
