Reviews for Hotel 10

Review 1:I didn't like that the hotel didn't have a restaurant nor room service.

Review 2:I liked that the hotel had a club in it. Although, the music was fairly outdated it was quaint and cute.

Review 3:The offerings from the restaurant - not much to be desired and what I did order, I received it cold.

Review 4:The location was perfect - central to everywhere I wanted to get to walking or cabbing it.

Review 5:Great location, welcoming front staff. Placed us in a quitter floor as we heard they had an all night night club... Didn't hear a thing ,Comfy bed slender stay

Review 6:The wine bar was not stocked properly, they didn't even have Pinot Grigio. We were not about to go down to the "club" for a drink.

Review 7:Nice size room and bathroom. The separate toilet was odd, didn't care for it. Gabby in wine bar was super nice!

Review 8:The valet attendent had a bit of a rude / entitled attitude, making sure we knew the price didn't include tip and that we would need to tip.

Review 9:The front desk woman (perhaps a manager?) was very helpful and made our check in smooth. The decor of the hotel was very trendy and the location was great - downtown, subway access nearby, easily able to check out places that aren't tourist traps as well as the mainstream spots.

Review 10:Everything was wonderful, though the bathtub was a little dirty (realized after I filled it with water). Not severely dirty at all.

Review 11:The location could not be better for a first time visitor to Montréal. The hotel was lovely and competitively priced!

Review 12:The room next door was full of noisy guests and the room itself was new, but fittings had fallen off, broken or were not affixed to the wall properly.. Especially the vanity unit in the bathroom.

Review 13:The hotel was funky and comfortable... And the staff friendly and helpful.

Review 14:The maid never supplied staples after cleaning the room... which was very odd.. no coffee, toilet paper or shampoo, soap , fresh towels. And room service took a very long time. Also was asked to pay 50 dollars per pet for a cleaning cost.. my pets are very clean and we left the room immaculate so this was unfair.

Review 15:Size of room

Review 16:A little pricey but seemed to be the standard rate for a decent hotel in this location.

Review 17:Great location if you're in town for a night out! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice, clean and comfortable.

Review 18:Had constant issues with the Card Key working to access my room, tookseveral minutes to get in every time. Room was hot and ac didn'twork well. Could hear noise from other rooms on my hall. They saidbreakfast was complimentary but I had to pay for coffee???

Review 19:Staff was friendly and nice

Review 20:Well-appointed, contemporary room in historic building (room facing St. Laurent). Very suitable for a summer stay with short walk to both Metro and Downtown; location may feel a bit more remote in winter however. Hotel during the week was very quiet; noise non-existent. Overall, nice change from some of the similarly-priced downtown hotels that offer better location, but often having antiquated rooms and furnishings.

Review 21:Nothing that wasn't easily resolved.

Review 22:I loved the front desk staff. Stephanie , Marie Eve, and Denis (restaurant staff member) were very professional, helpful, and made us feel special. The ambience was chic relaxed. I will be back soon!

Review 23:When I made the reservation it was unclear that it wasn't through the hotel reservation desk….I did call the hotel # but was told to call the "Booking" # which I assumed was part of the hotel's reservation service. Because of this we were told we were not entitled to breakfast.

Review 24:We were visiting our granddaughter who goes to McGill and this was a convenient location and a nice hotel.

Review 25:Everything was fine

Review 26:Friendly staff, offered us complimentary breakfast, big room with view, very comfortable bed, high quality breakfast, free hotel car with driver to deposit us in city or train station

Review 27:There was too much noise at night and it was difficult to fall asleep because of the commotion outside of the bedroom and the TV in our room did not work!!

Review 28:The room was comfortable and well-spaced.

Review 29:The staff wasn't very helpful when asked about local restaurants. The one they did suggest made us wait for 15 minutes when there was only one other table....we left. We also asked the staff if the 747 pass(which we purchased at the airport) included the metro. We were told it did not and that we would have to pay. In fact, it was inclusive and we luckily discovered this before paying an additional fee.

Review 30:The location was in the middle of old Montreal and the Little Italy. It was also accessible to the metro and 747 bus.

Review 31:The location is a bit far off the location of activities. It was a bit hard to find nearby shops, restaurants, groceries shops and the likes.

Review 32:Its cleanliness inside the hotel. Some staffs were friendly.

Review 33:Le nettoyage n'était pas parfait, la porte ne fermait pas et la clientèle était très bruyante ( une dizaine de copains vénus regarder un match et qui ont passé la nuit à crier)

Review 34:The tub!!!

Review 35:The location was sketchy. Twice we walked out to go for a walk and there were people smoking pot on the corner. The floor I was placed on was with a young crowd who partied until 12:30 am or so. Woke me up from an exhausting day of shopping. I was not happy.

Review 36:The room was very spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable.

Review 37:Breakfast coffee! Not good. Cappuccino was all foam .. so we often went to the café 200m away round the corner. They said a lot of guests did the same. (We taught them how to make Flat Whites! ) This was their only 'fail' !

Review 38:Great location - walk in any direction to find something of interest.

Review 39:$19.95 breakfast buffet, but right behind the hotel there's a cafe serving $10 breakfast which is better

Review 40:Walking distance to Chinatown. Right beside Just for Laughs.

Review 41:Nothing.

Review 42:I loved that EVERYTIME I would come down with my dog they were all so friendly and curtious. The service is always amazing there, definetley my favourite hotel in Montreal

Review 43:They require all guests to be announced prior to access to the hotel. It's inconvenient if you have a lot of people up. Convenient if you don't want to see everyone that stops by.

Review 44:I stay in the city regularly typically at the Sofitel or Le Germaine. The Hotel 10 is comparable at half the price. Accommodating staff. I was never once denied the house car which is common at Le Germaine and they fixed a small error in my bill without question. You get way more than what you pay for here.

Review 45:Location for us wasn't ideal. We prefer something closer to Crescent st or in old montreal. It is a great location if you want to spend time in the Plateau area though.

Review 46:Overall look of the place was very nice but nothing spectacular, especially when you compare it with boutique hotels in Old Montreal. Nothing wrong per se with it, just didn't have any WOW factor. I imagine it is very nice in the summer with the patios open.

Review 47:There was no room service for breakfast and the room was super expensive considering it was just a normal looking room with a tv; the bathroom set up was too modern and inconvenient; why was the toilet in a separate Area??? Looked like a plumbing issue ?

Review 48:It was overall okay

Review 49:So, I read the reviews about the club on Friday and Saturday nights. Being that I'm in my early 30s I didn't see an issue with it, since I'd be going out too. The staff did mention the club and offered to change our room when we checked in...we declined. We got home around 1 AM from being out Friday and we could hear the music like it was one floor down even though we were on the third floor. Next time we stay, we'll definitely ask for the 4th or 5th floors.

Review 50:Loved the staff, everyone was very helpful. The location is perfect, close to Old Montreal. The car service was great-William the valet was really knowledgable. The decor is fresh and the linens are nice. Overall great place for the price.

Review 51:Hotel 10 needs to determine if they want to be a hotel or a nightclub. Even on the 'quiet' side of the hotel you can hear the music from the nightclub. Don't stay here if you value your sleep.

Review 52:Could hear Noise from night club in my room on fourth floor. No hash browns or potatoes at the buffet breakfast. Being a vegetarian I had a coffee and 2 croissants for 21.00 $ dollars.

Review 53:The restaurant night club decor was pretty. The staff were attractive and friendly.

Review 54:Parking very expensive. Quality of the room, soap dispenser broken in bathroom, water leaking from shower. Furniture scratch do not look taking care of. Room to expensive for a the quality offer.

Review 55:Sorry wi-fi

Review 56:WiFi was very spotty.

Review 57:Situated on the corner of St. Laurent & Sherbrooke, Hotel 10 is the perfect location for those looking to be immersed in the local culture. Plenty of great food and drink within walking distance.

Review 58:The nightclub and bar attached tot eh hotel were both open until the early hours on both nights we were there which we weren't expecting on a Monday and Tuesday. We were greeted with "you're on the second floor, the nightclub is open and I don't have a quieter room" so they clearly get a lot of complaints. We overlooked the bar terrace so could hear thumping music and chatter.

Review 59:The décor and facilities were lovely, comfortable room. Good location walking distance from Mont Royal and McGill University.

Review 60:The weekends, on the other hand, can be problematic. For instance on my last stay at Hotel 10, a brawl broke out in the hallway in front of my room. I had risk my safety by opening the door a telling the people fighting in the hallway that I was calling the cops. Hotel security find finally solve the issue and believe those responsible were asked to check-out.

Review 61:I stay at the hotel nearly on a monthly basis when traveling to Montreal. During the week, the place is quiet.

Review 62:entrance, lobby, lift etc is run-down and needs renovation. A little bit of violet and white leather sofas don't make a design hotel. I don't know what is hip about this hotel except the restaurant.

Review 63:The concierge Lucas was very nice and helpful. Restaurant is fabulous - best salmon ever!

Review 64:This hotel has a club which is open to 3am. If you are seeking a quiet hotel, stay at the Marriott or Hilton. The ceilings in the room are concrete slabs.

Review 65:Staff was friendly Clean room. Bed was comfy Good location

Review 66:expensive parking rates, too much weekend party noise due to terrace in the hotel, that you feel inside the room even if we were in the opposite side. Be sure to ask for a higher floor and quiet if you dont feel like partying...just on weekends (our room was 230)

Review 67:big room, good and king bed, nice bathroom and cool design shower, 42" flat TV lot of channels, good wifi, friendly staff.

Review 68:The hotel is well situated in the middle of the heart of Montreal Did not like valet prefer parking my own vehicle found $28 for parking a little pricey. Bed was extremely comfortable

Review 69:Perhaps the biggest problem was that we were in Montreal on a Friday night! Montreal is a party town, and the bar/restaurant below the hotel was hopping! But the steady electronic music beat was very evident in our room right through until 3am. I don't know how many rooms this would affect (we were on the 1st floor) or what it may be like on other nights. The other minor complaint is that the parking is by valet, and so didn't provide easy access to our car. Parking is a big pricey but not unusual for hotels in large cities!

Review 70:Hotel 10 is just the kind of hotel we love. Modern chic décor, well maintained property, large comfortable rooms, a large walk-in shower, easy Wi-Fi access. We were in Montreal for a concert at Theatre St Denis, so this location was perfect - just a 10 minute walk away. This hotel, for us, ranks among the best hotels that we have stayed in - anywhere in the world.

Review 71:Numerous comments here about the night club noise. We didn't have an issue but he can certainly hear it as distant noise.

Review 72:The hotel is central and you can walk to everything in 15 mins. The decor is stylish and staff were particularly helpful. When the doorman could get a taxi for me he drove me to my dinner in the hotel's car. Amazing!

Review 73:There is a club located in the hotel. So if you would like to sleep, askfor a room on the other side pf the hotel away from the hotel.

Review 74:Very nice room, great bathroom and excellent beddong and airco system.

Review 75:If I must complain about something it would have to be the dollar tovalue ratio. Hotel 10 wasn't the most expensive stay i've havebut little things were for that were either needless or overpriced:1. Parking - $28 plus tax per day, i could understand a charge for parking if Hotel 10 had an additional lot adjacent the hotel, but they have an underground facility, i don't necessarily mind paying for parking over and above the cost of the room but $30+ seems a bit over the top. 2. Food - The restaurant connected to the hotel offers guest a decent menu with upscale pricing, being part of the food industry i was very interested in trying their steak. My wife and I ordered the fillet (10oz & 14oz), it came with a sauce in a side bowl which was perfect i could try the meat on it own, and it was terrible, definitely NOT dry aged because the meat had a bitter iron taste akin to liver. The meat was severly overpriced vs its quality. All in all i would stay at Hotel 10 again and would recommend it to others, as for the restaurant for the same money spent you have so many options around the hotel including Moishes Restaurant who actual does 35 day Dry Age steak.

Review 76:I chose Hotel 10 on the basis of room styling and proximity tosurrounding sites, we enjoyed being able to walk around Montreal toshop, see sites, and conduct business. The room had a clean modern feelto it, offering comfort and a great nights sleep. The staff was veryaccommodating, thumbs up.

Review 77:- I could open the window (yay), but there was no screen to stop the mosquitoes from coming in (booo) - Room Service stops at 11:00pm?!? That's lame. There should be poutine to eat at 1am for when you've finished dancing to the DJ in your room.

Review 78:- Bed/Linens - Modern design and comfort - Nice bathroom - Great location - You don't even have to go to the club, just open your window Fri-Sun and it sound like the DJ is spinning in your room.

Review 79:A little noisy on the Rue Sherbrooke side-- ask for a room on the Clark side

Review 80:Nice neighborhood Close to downtown and restaurants Easy valet parking Excellent friendly staff

Review 81:room disappointing: 1. didn't give us the room we had booked. 2. room door didn't work well 3. ugly cement ceilings 4. noisy room - hear mechanical pump working on and off all day and night !!! hotel: 1. hallway was smelly. People smoking various substances. 2. neighbourhood / area around hotel very dirty & noisy

Review 82:- wifi was really good

Review 83:Cheapo rooms booked online get you a noisy room over the club... boom boom boom boom...

Review 84:Loved the hotel and staff was excellent. Jargo Chophouse was great, especially bartenders Chris and Ada!

Review 85:The price is not reasonable given the limited facilities of the hotel. Worse, there is a disco on the ground floor that makes it impossible for the guests on the east side to sleep at night. I would not recommend it to anyone I care for.

Review 86:The rooms and particularly the bathrooms were large and clean. Also they changed our room after the terrible, sleepless first night of our stay.

Review 87:Paying $50 per day for an extra bed for my daughter and it took a while to clean our room! (Once it wasn't cleaned until after 4pm)

Review 88:Overall it was very nice experience, all the stuff were very nice!

Review 89:The receptionnist wasn't able to explain to me my bill! A lot of errors... And the way her supervisor came to talk to me and my mom wasn't respectful at all. I'm used to go to the Crystal hotel, a five stars hôtel with an excellent service. But it was full. So we didn't have the choice to go where there were still rooms available. Anyways the service i had was disappointing for the price i paid. The customers service/ should be more respectful to all the clients.

Review 90:Excellent Valet service! Really efficient room service.

Review 91:Staff at the reception desk were a little cool. Could improve on the friendliness to being the entire Hotel 10 experience to another level.

Review 92:Really nice finishes and furnishings on the rooms. We loved the use of exposed concrete ceilings to reflect the original poured concrete structure.

Review 93:place seems to be in perpetual reno mode (no fans in rooms, window latches falling off...lots of odd little things one would expect to be dealt with in a fairly expensive hotel)...Prices seemed a bit high, but for a unique stylish, and friendly place in an amazing location we were happy!!

Review 94:Very cool design, fantastic location, classy rooms, friendly staff, and pet friendly! (very cool even though we didnt have one with us)

Review 95:We loved the location, the beautiful décor and the staff were amazingly helpful. We certainly will return and have recommend the hotel to a number of friends.

Review 96:No pool, no microwave

Review 97:The staff was very friendly. And Lucy did an awesome job in keeping our room clean. She was very pleasant and always greet you with a smile.

Review 98:That breakfast wasn't included for the price.

Review 99:The room was huge and very cozy.

Review 100:the front desk staff (William) was very nice and helpful.

Review 101:Very tired looking room for such a swanky image

Review 102:Staff was great!

Review 103:My husband just thought the shower could have been cleaner

Review 104:The staff was friendly and upgraded our room:)

Review 105:Right on St. Laurent Blvd which has a bunch of restaurants/bars. Clean and comfortable, great staff. It made for a great trip!

Review 106:Fabulous staff. Very helpful. Responsive to immediate needs.

Review 107:Everything was great! Would stay here again!

Review 108:It met all expectations based on reviews.

Review 109:Short staff, takes forever for room service

Review 110:Location, cleanliness, comfort

Review 111:One of the staff members gave confusing info about free shuttle

Review 112:the furniture and the breakfast

Review 113:The staff were super awesome

Review 114:No information in hotel room about the hotel facilities or the city.

Review 115:Modern hotel room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very nice bathroom.

Review 116:Nothing

Review 117:Location was right by the festivals, staffs were great and the services were fast and accommodating, and the room was clean and spacious.

Review 118:Staff was extremely helpful and super nice.

Review 119:Things in the room are worn out and aging

Review 120:Modern interiors

Review 121:Under construction, no pool... So pretty much everything was great!

Review 122:Everything

Review 123:Loud night club near by.

Review 124:Pleasant staff

Review 125:its expensive

Review 126:the room

Review 127:Everything was great.

Review 128:female receptionist not friendly

Review 129:Location location!

Review 130:Hidden fees and taxes

Review 131:Excellent location to see Montreal. Helpful staff and well appointed rooms. Have already recommended it.
