At 4,265 ft above sea level, the alpine-style Hotel Samokov is a one hour's drive from Sofia. It features a bowling alley as well as pool table and ping-pong facilities.

Review 1：Spa not included, water in pool cold, breakfast always the same and poor. One day was very windy outside (my room was on the side where the entrance was), and the room was very cold, i used towels on the terrace door to stop the cold.

Review 3：By far the worst of all was the staff. They were unpolite, unwilling to help and uninformed. The facilities were bad and everything in the spa except for the pool was for extra-money. Really bad value for money.

Review 5：-good value for money -excellent location -ski depot and ski school attached -basic and clean rooms (with small fridges) -plenty of things to keep children entertained after skiing -range of items for breakfast

Review 6：Panorama restaurant, the food was served cold, and as a group we wanted to eat at the same time, but one of our party had their food served 20 minutes after we had all finished which left us to sit and watch one person eat.

Review 9：Everything was very nice. We love the spa area. The pool had warm water, there was free wifi in the rooms even though it saya there is not.There was a lot of space to park. The location is great.

Review 10：The gym equipment was very old.It was not open and i had to ask for the keys everytime.Also the stuff was rood and they dont speak english well.They didnt know about the booking application reservation without copy the voucher and i had a problem

Review 11：The customer service is extremely poor. The hotel didn't feel like a4 star more like a 2-3 star. In such a big hotel not to have a room witha double bed? In other words me and my gf had to sleep on seperate beds( however they offered us to "get the beds together so it wouldmake it like a double bed, are you serious? Lol ). Anyway do not gothere. This is not 4* star hotel.

Review 13：when we arrived at the hotel with no reservation we were told there were no rooms available - this in an 11 storey huge building, in the middle of summer which is the weak season for the mountain and on a working Wednesday. We checked Booking.com and there were rooms so we made a booking but the lady at reception kept saying there were no rooms

Review 17：I went on a snowboarding trip, which unfortunately ended with a lost snowboard. Yes I lost my snowboard after leaving it in front of an eatery not far from the gondola station. A week after I left I received a call from the staff (to whom I had simply mentioned and which really went out of their way). They told me they had found my board and now here it is next to me :) Thank you so much! And by the way your spa is also excellent! Can't wait to visit again!

Review 22：Actually nothing really that matters, except that everything is a bit old and a bit gloomy. In the beginning the room was cold. And the SPA center is small for such a big hotel.

Review 23：It is near the gondola and most of the ski facilities (everything is within few minutes by foot). The room which was received was on the 7th floor and was with the best view I have ever had in a hotel. The pool is big (25 m) and good for swimming.

Review 74：My only objection about the hotel is that some of the facilities need renovation. The bowling is very old and damaged for the money it costed. We hardly locked the door of one of our rooms as it was very difficult. Last, hot water was rare.

Review 78：We booked a double room but when we reached the room we discovered it was only a twin room. The hotel staff really did not care when we returned to complain. After pursuing the matter again the following day we did receive the double room but received no apology from the hotel.
