Reviews for Diamanti
Review 1:We liked the clean room and being really cold outside we appreciated the fact that we had hot water ( a nice shower cabin, too) and a quick way to heat the room. Also, friendly and helpful personal. The breakfast was good and decent.
Review 2:Bed was horrible, thankfully there was a sofa/bed I was able to sleep on that was a bit more comfortable. Shower leaked a lot with water all over the floor.
Review 3:Great location, breakfast was good, staff was friendly. Had access to wifi although at times the signal was weak.
Review 4:Internet is not working. Sea view is not real open view. You can see the sea from your balcony as a reminder only.
Review 5:Their resaturant area is very nice to watch view.
Review 6:The only minus - big, poorly covered stain on the ceiling
Review 7:Very friendly and welcoming staff.Wonderful sea view with cozy & spacious balcony. Live music in the evening
Review 8:Bathroom was dated and bed too soft for our liking. Also wifi signal could be better for top floor rooms.
Review 9:Fantastic location, size of room. View from balcony was beautiful. Value for money
Review 10:Parking can be problematic but the staff make it their problem even driving our car to where there was a space.
Review 11:Lovely location. Friendly staff. A place to relax
Review 12:The only problem is that it is situated in the old part of the town. The streets are very narrow and twisting and difficult to negotiate.
Review 13:Pleasant staff and good food. Picturesque setting. They have no parking, but gave us their personal parking bay.
Review 14:The location of the Diamanti is excellent. The old town of Sozopol is a welcome relief from the development torturing much of the Black Sea coast. The hotel is clean and quiet. An easy pace to spend many days
Review 15:No bad experience. Sensible shoes recommended as the wonderful cobbled streets, can in places, be difficult to walk on.
Review 16:Quiet location in a beautiful historic town. Lovely breakfast & friendly staff.
Review 17:Weather was not so nice, but the hotel cannot help. Now in cool season we missed the sun on balcony, in the hot season that is wonderfull
Review 18:They were kind enough to keep kitchen open until we arrived late in the evening.
Review 19:wifi isn't very strong..... it's good that I didn't need to use it very much.
Review 20:it's right next to the water, and the host was very friendly
Review 21:It's time to upgrade the mattresses.
Review 22:Great location and an excellent value. With a courteous staff who patiently explained things to silly tourists. Good breakfast.
Review 23:The room itself had seen it's heyday, the laminate floor was broken and paint was peeling off the ceiling.
Review 24:The location was great and scenery beautiful. The room was clean.
Review 25:Poor wifi, radiators where switched off so bathroom and dining room over breakfast was cold, bad machine coffee for breakfast.
Review 26:By the sea, very clean, decent breakfast, varied each day.
Review 27:Nothing. Loved it all.
Review 28:Great location overlooking the water. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Strong wifi and great breakfast. Sozopol is a magical place and so is this beautiful hotel.
Review 29:The sink was broke so we couldnt put the plug in and the shower didn't have a closing door so the floor outside of it got wet with puddles. But it wasn't a huge deal, i'm nit picking really.
Review 30:We had a nice view, it was in close proximity to local restaurants and beaches. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. The breakfast was also very good.
Review 31:Wifi reception was poor most of the time, upgrade and use more powerful Routers, bath mats outside shower is also reccomended as getting out is dicey.
Review 32:The location was superb, pleasant enough staff, breakfast was good, but the use of Bainmaries could be used to keep food warm.
Review 33:Can't think of anything.
Review 34:If you have artistic spirit, good taste for architecture and clever modern interior design, love to read with a glass of excellent wine, topped with a view to die for then this hotel is for you. If you are in need of inspiration for your next project then that is a place to concider.
Review 35:Parking is always an issue in the Old Town of Sozopol, so you need to pay for a 24 hour lot. Breakfast could have been tastier.
Review 36:Location - right across one of the old city walls and with amazing view of the Black Sea. Character - the hotel is tastefully decorated with book corners and art everywhere. Friendly staff. Amazing patio front garden. Decent breakfast.
Review 37:last floor view is awesome. over all the room on the top floor is really nice, but the internet is not so good there. Lower floors have better connection.
Review 38:There is no lift, but the staff carried our bags up the stairs on arrival and I decided to make my own way down on leaving which was no problem.
Review 39:The view from the hotel is amazing as it is within a stones throw of the sea . The hotel is spotlessly clean and our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and the music at night on the terrace was fabulous.
Review 40:Sozopol is amazing. Our apartment was right in the heart of the old town. The apartment was clean, well equipped, lovely view and we could walk to every where in old town.Staff was great.
Review 41:- Unidentified dangerous pavements in front of the hotel, causing damages to vehicles -Boring breakfast - one and the same every morning+poor quality of the meat and cheese served - The tessare of the premise, used by my family, can't be reached because of the numerous traces of the birds, hanging there; - No wardrobes to put staff inside - Unpolite and not assisting receptionists and managers
Review 42:If your looking for luxury this hotel is not for you. The rooms and beds are very basic. The night staff were intolerant to any noise. I was told off for having a skype conversation at 11pm in the reception area. If you want to make any noise at all this hotel is not for you.
Review 43:The sea views from the balcony were fantastic. The area of the hotel located is also amazing. It is also cheap to stay.
Review 44:Lovely view, very clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff
Review 45:---

Review 56:There was nothing we did not like
Review 57:Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful views overlooking the sea.
Review 58:Toilet flush
Review 59:Cleaning lady, guitar player in bar
Review 60:the rooms need some more facilitie
Review 61:the best thing about the hotel is the location. Splendid view,at the heart of old town Sozopol
Review 62:Perfect location, amazing view from the terrace. Hospitable owner and delicious cuisine. One of the top places I have ever visited!
Review 63:I liked everything - the location ovelooking the sea, the friendly hosts, the food, the comfort of the room, the smell of books in the corridors.
Review 64:Veey friendly staff. Many choices for breakfast. Home made , very good food. I will definitely go back next year.
Review 65:Amazingly friendly staff, great rooms with comfy beds amazing breakfast and value for money in a great location.
Review 66:must take a taxi to the hotel
Review 67:top service
Review 68:Friendly and helpful staff, very good location, near the sea and the town centre. It is a clean and quiet hotel. Very recommendable .
Review 69:location and views
Review 70:We stayed on 4th floor and the WiFi signal couldn't reach our room.
Review 71:Everything.
Review 72:All the best!
Review 73:I paid more for "balcony towards the sea", i actually got a balcony with a view towards the neighbor's windows. The restaurant is alright, but on the expensive side; i had to order 2 times my dinner, on the 3rd trial I quit and moved to a different place. Don't consider the pictures posted on booking when looking for this hotel, the actual rooms are totally different (in a bad way). The air conditioning was flooding my room's floor. No space for shower, you will have to do it above the toilet rest.
Review 74:Very nice location, decent kitchen, excellent view from the terrace in front of the hotel. The price was more than reasonable for the location. Very peaceful area, no traffic noise.
Review 75:I think the price was a little bit too high for the conditions. The room was quite small and the bathroom not very new but decent. The overall stay was still a very pleasant experience.
Review 76:We were able to park the car in front of the hotel because the stuff was really helpful and moved one of their cars to a different place and made room for us. Having the breakfast on the hotel's restaurant terrace was an extremely pleasant moment. The view is amazing !! The breakfast is quite ok with home made sweets. Definetly recommend staying in the old town.
Review 77:I traveled with my parents (in their mid 60s) and we all loved the hotel. The location is perfect, the view is amazing, and the service was great. Very clean, modern, and new hotel. You won't regret it, just go.
Review 78:Brilliant location in a peaceful part of old town away from the maintourist routes, but within easy walking distance of everything. Parkedthe car opposite hotel and left it there for duration of stay. Balconywith great sea view. Good continental style breakfast. Staff alwaysavailable, helpful and friendly. Excellent rate, out of main season.
Review 79:sometimes cigarette smoke is coming from the other rooms; it would be great to find a solution to isolate the circulation of air from one bath to other
Review 80:This is truly a beautiful place. The hotel was great - the staff was friendly and spoke English very well. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. The room was very clean. The breakfast buffet was great. No complaints.
Review 81:Nice little place to stay in Sozopol. We were there in the off-season, so things were pretty quiet and a little chilly, but the staff was great and very accommodating helping get extra electric heaters in our room. The view of the Black Sea is great and the location in Old Town is perfect for strolling around. We had nice pizza and pasta at the hotel restaurant, and the breakfast the next morning was slightly more continental than other breakfasts we’ve had in Bulgaria – very tasty though, especially the pancakes! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other travelers.
Review 82:A wonderful hotel. The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was just fabulous, huge and warm. Hotel beautifully decorated and all coordinated furnishings. Breakfast was enough to feed an army, lots of different items and graciously served. Well placed in the old town.I would highly recommend a break here.
Review 83:When booking this hotel the information given by BOOKING.COM about the bathroom facilities was wrong and the photos of a BATH in the delux double room was incorrect as the lady who managed the hotel told us on departure that there was no bath in any of the rooms and she asked us if we could make this clear to BOOKING.COM. as she did not want any misunderstandings about this should other guests be under the same impression that we were. Please note we blame BOOKING.COM for this and not the hotel as the printing error and photos that we saw was on their site.
Review 84:We have been to Sozopol 3 times and this was the best place that we have stayed in with regards to excellent breakfast that was freshly prepared and homemade, good staff (helpful but unobtrusive), spacious balcony. We also had 2 evening meals here and both were delicious and the service was excellent!
Review 85:Restaurant food could be better, though I couldn't fault the buffet breakfast.
Review 86:Great location if you want to be in the lovely old town, plenty of local restaurants. Very helpful staff; comfortable room.
Review 87:Difficult access by car, if you don't have GPS is complicated to find, hard to find a parking place. Advised to arrive while it's still light.
Review 88:Great view, breakfast etraordinar varied, romantic terrace, unusual architecture typical
Review 89:Small sized room. No place to put even one of the suitcases. The bathroom: very inconvenient shower and no place to hang towels.
Review 90:Small friendly hotel. Intelectual atmosphere. Good location in front of the sea. Very nice lady owner. Room with pleasant balcony. Good breakfast - although limited selection of cheese and bread.
Review 91:The acces with the car is difficult! The parking near the hotel is not sufficient. The anex where some apartments are located, is too far from reception and it's enviroment is poor! Actually the hotel is a maximum two star hotel!
Review 92:The extremely poor internet connection; the fact that, although the staff pretended that only the customers were having problems with the internet connection, when I asked to use - for a few minutes - one of the computers in the reception (they had at least two), they said that it was not allowed. Another aspect that I consider outrageous is the fact that you had to pay a tax to use the toilet from the ground floor of the hotel.
Review 93:the quietness of the neighbourhood; the varied and tasty breakfast (I especially liked the home-made cheese pie, the home-made jam and the pancakes); the view from the restaurant's terrace;
Review 94:Location: - close to the tourist attraction and there are lots of them around taking pictures and make yourself feeling as in a crowd Room: - very loud around, the streets are crowded and they are like canyons, so they multiply any noise, every morning at 7 am, there were a huge noise by bottle recycling. - room was good but with many things need to fix
Review 95:As well as many others so there is no sense to write about.
Review 96:The rooms can be improved, there was a smelly carpet in our first room (small room with no place for the luggage); we had to move in a different room after two days and the second room was larger, with tiles on the floor, but the shower was not separated from the rest of the bathroom, it was almost over the toilet seat and you were flooding all over when using it, with no place where to put the soap...this can be improved at least to put a small parting wall between the areas to stop the water.
Review 97:Nice view of the see from the balcony, great terrace in front of the hotel for breakfast and restaurant, the hotel is right on the promontory of old town of Sozopol. The lady from the reception was very nice; we were lucky and found a parking spot right in front of the hotel.
Review 98:Nice and attentive personnel. Great view and location! Evenings spent at the summer terrace in the company of great live guitar music! Thanks Diamanti!
Review 99:The hairdryer is very loud and uncomfortable - better buy new ones.Stuff seemed a bit distanced - we didn't get warm with it, althoughwe spent 5 nights in the hotel. Shyness? Language problems? For exampleit would have been nice during the breakfast to get coffee / teasurfed - for some contact.
Review 100:We had a lovely big room with a marvelous view over the sea! We likedthe guitar music in the evenings.
Review 101:This is our second year staying at this hotel and we are looking forwardto going back again next year. The owners of the hotel are very friendlyand have created a unique atmosphere which no other hotel on Sozopol canleave up to. The stuff is extremely helpful; the rooms are clean andquiet; the breakfast is fresh and nutritious. Can't say enough goodthings about this place.
Review 102:The offering of cold fried eggs at breakfast.
Review 103:The staff were helpful and courteous and the clifftop outside dining area provides the best situation in Sozopol that we found in two days.
Review 104:Although the breakfast was good they had no fruits or vegetables
Review 105:We liked very much this hotel, we had a working wi-fi connection very good most of the time. The bed was excellent, very good mattress; they have strong box in the room, AC, pretty good breakfast. The parking is near the hotel and in the period we stayed there the parking was free.
Review 106:This is a wonderful cosy friendly family owned hotel with an amasing out-door restaurant and increadible sea views. A small chapel next to the hotel - with the beautiful christian paintings will admire you . 2 sisters and their mother are the owners, oil paintings with the sea views created by ther mother decorate the whole hotel. Family liberary including a few hundreds books are at your disposal if you wish to read them... One of the sisters Elya is a very welcoming hostess and she is an artist in her soil but fully occupied by business and her teenage son. Atmosphere in the hotel is great and warm , you will recommend the hotel to your friends, believe me ! When sitting on the balcony sipping local wine and looking at the stars far above you or walking the silent cobbled streets at night or being welcomed by the fish restaurant owher at midnight !!! because you will be served even at that time if you wish !! you will not forget your stay in this hotel. ))) Needless to say that the prices are very very friendly even to the retired people. Olga

Review 110:Parking lot available, friendly staff, general good experience.
Review 111:Great Breakfast, great view. Drinking coffee and watching the dolphins in the sea.
Review 112:The streets near the hotel is quite narrow and it's difficult to park a big car.
Review 113:The location, very friendly staff
