Reviews for Vakantie Logies Allo Allo
Review 1:Cash only when we arrived, not mentioned when booked or in any of the details, so had to go to ATM Quite isolated Too many files around the breakfast spread
Review 2:Host was good , great character Good breakfast spread
Review 3:Jean marie is the perfect host, his knowledge of local beers was very useful when we were trying to decide which ones to choose! The hops for one are literally grown across the road.. Breakfast was also a huge treat, a vast range of choice provided by his wife Katy. Highly recommended
Review 4:The hotel was well situated a had good free parking The room was clean and comfortable . The owner told us to make ourselves a b Packed lunch at breakfast as we were traveling to Metz which was nice as the breakfast was very good with nice fresh breads
Review 5:Easy access to Poperinge city center and numerous WWI sites.Great home base for a driving vacation in Western Belgium. Try to time your trip so you can see local farmers harvesting their hop fields!
Review 6:proprietor very welcoming and informative on area & places to see. Breakfast was excellent with a varied choice of meat cheese fish bread etc etc! Would recommend 100%
Review 7:Nothing.
Review 8:Best eggs and strawberry jam in the world. We were made very welcome by our sincere and warm hearted hosts Jean Marie and his lovely wife who although not used to cooking English breakfasts gave it her best shot and was very successful. Our room was spacious clean and had everything we needed. Jean Marie will be more than happy to give you a quick rendition of Paul McCartney's "All my lovin" provided you buy him a drink before - and after.
Review 9:The location was a bit out of town if you didn't have a car. As others mentioned, there is only a curtain separating the bathroom and the bedroom, so not much is left to the imagination, especially after the big breakfast.
Review 10:Nice place in beautiful surroundings. The beds were really comfortable. The breakfast is amazing and they have a lot of tasty beer available. They were able to arrange a ride for us in town, although we had to pay for it.
Review 11:A small kettle to make a cup of tea although the owners did offer to make tea or coffee.
Review 12:Friendly owners who made us feel at home in their home, nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was a continental style with cooked options and included home made jam. Towels were soft and fluffy and shower was good. Owner was helpful with advice regarding local restaurants and Ypres town.
Review 13:Struggling to think of anything I didn't like - probably the only slight disappointment was that there was no hair dryer in the room.
Review 14:Very friendly place, they make you feel very welcome. The breakfast was great and a fantastic recommendation for dinner on the first night of our stay meant we felt really at home. We were travelling on a motorbike so it was great to have parking and although the B&B is in the Countryside, it is only a short ride to the nearest restaurant.
Review 15:Very friendly and helpful staff
Review 16:Jean Marie the proprietor was excellent. Very attentive and helpful. Assisting us with transport to other locations.
Review 17:Sadly our bathroom did not function properly
Review 18:breakfast was fine
Review 19:The bed was not the most comfortable as it was too soft a mattress for us but once settled after a hard day out we nodded off.
Review 20:Everything but the bed
Review 21:A bit out of the town
Review 22:Breakfast . Owners. Easy to find. Value for money.
Review 23:Nothing to dislike .
Review 24:Large clean comfortable rooms. Friendly helpful hosts . Super beer and superb breakfast .
Review 25:Very pretty room and an excellent breakfast
Review 26:Curtain instead of a door on the bathroom.
Review 27:Peaceful location. Excellent breakfast. Spotlessly clean.

Review 29:Great location for visiting the WW1 battlefields....superb facilities and warm reception given by the owners.....10/10
Review 30:Blissfully quiet. Very friendly
Review 31:There was no wardrobe's at all to hang clothes. That's it.
Review 32:The owners were lovely. Breakfast was very good and lots to choose from. Beds comfy, shower good. Didn't have any other meals there as eat out all the time. Husband speaks good English but wife bless her, very little. Loves to have a beer with you and chat. Would go back tho and hopefully planning our next stay soon.
Review 33:The staff are very friendly. It is a lovely quiet location about 3 miles out of Poperinge. The town is lovely & English-friendly. The B&B is modern and very comfortable. They have a bar which is open until 9 pm.. It is a B&B, not a hotel. Ample parking. Great breakfasts. Economical.
Review 34:Not one thing. It was downright brilliant
Review 35:The B and B was a wonderful choice. I, as an American traveler, was a little hesitant of staying in a B&B outside of the town of Poperinge. However, in the morning Jean Marie was very helpful by driving me to the train station so I could go study in Ypres. Coming back was not a problem either. It is a little ways out of the town, but I walked it every day that I was there and it was great. Jean Marie and his wife were the most gracious hosts. They truly make you feel as though it is home. I would, without doubt, recommend this place to anybody. If you don't stay here, you are missing out. Thanks Jean Marie!!!!
Review 36:Nothing; all was good.
Review 37:Hospitality from Jean-Marie and Cathie was wonderful. Breakfast was amazing, both in terms of quantity and quality. Rooms were clean; plenty of hot water, clean towels etc. As a base from which to explore the Ieper / Poperinge area, this place is ideal and excellent value for money.
Review 38:Leaving!!
Review 39:Everything about the place was good. The Proprietor, Jean-Marie, and his wife couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The whole place was spotlessly clean, the rooms bright and comfortable. The breakfasts were as good as you'd get anywhere, with a huge choice on the buffet. I would recommend this B&B to anyone, and will return there in future.
Review 40:No tv,no tea making facilities, no door on the bathroom, no hair dryer. And set breakfast no choice of cereals or toast you had what you were given and it was served up by hostess in dressing gown. Room not serviced as they didn't have a spare key to get in and change the towels etc Very expensive for the lack of amenities you would from the same price hotel elsewhere
Review 41:Host was nice
Review 42:Only negative is that its in countryside between Ypres and Poperinge. but if you like it quiet, its great.
Review 43:First class host, comfortable and spacious rooms, best breakfast ever!
Review 44:Nothing, it was all lovely
Review 45:We were made very welcome by Jean Marie & his wife. They gave us a choice of rooms as they were not full. All the rooms are on the ground floor and are very well presented & spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfy, lovely towels changed daily & bathrobes are provided. Tea & coffee was replenished daily along with bottled water & sweets & chocolates ( a very nice touch). The breakfast was excellent cheeses, pate, cold meats, bread, croissants, eggs, fresh fruit, yoghurt. Jean Marie gives you local knowledge and advises where to visit, like market days and special events etc. The place is very modern in decor and you can see they have both put a lot of care into presenting their B & B. There is a bar which possibly opens later on a weekend and there is a lot of outdoor seating. Situated on a main road but very rural and no traffic noise, very easy access to Ypres & Poperinge where you can get a lovely evening meal or snacks until quite late. We were really made to feel at home. Jean Marie speaks very good english. Overall a really enjoyable stay gives

Review 51:We were very welcome. The room was big and clean. It's a quiet environment and we had a good night. The breakfast was extensive and very good.
