Review 11：The Staff was very helpful in obtaining tickets for us to the Ballet, recommending where to eat and arranging transportation to and from the Airport as well as within the city, which I suggest you take advantage of, the local Taxi's services is bad there. Room service is fast with the order so make sure you are not taking a bath when you place the order. Normally Hotels have a 2:00pm check in policy however we arrived at 9:50am and the City Hotel staff found a room ready for early checkin, now that's something you don't see often! Review 14：No quilt on the beds cheapened the over-all look and impression of the roos..and the staff didn't explain the use of the card to operate the lifts,or pack me the lunch I ordered on check-in for the 4a.m departure in the morning..I don't remember if I paid for it.The hotels driver was arrogant and unfriendly..to the point when I thanked him(in Russian)for my pick-up,he didn't even acknowledge it...not even a rude grunt..nothing!!..When he first met me..he simply waved towards door of the crowded train-station..then walked off ahead of me..and never even bothered to look around to make sure he hadn't lost me in the crowd!

Review 27：New modern hotel with great location in the heart of Kiev. Even our 'standard' double room was pleasant and spacious, very clean, with super comfortable bed. Personnel was nice and helpful. Pretty good selection of breakfast (that was included in the room rate). Fantastic city view from the windows (ask for top floors rooms!!!) and panorama from restaurant on 15th floor. Price was significantly better booking throught Booking.com than directly at City Hotel website (worth checking before). Would stay here again and would recommend to friends.

Review 32：This is the worst hotel in Kiev. Don't get tricked into staying hereby how it looks in the pictures. The staff is super rude and careless.They don't know what they're doing and don't know how tointeract with guests. The hotel is really understaffed. The facilitiesare really run down and old making it a really dirty hotel with bugscrawling everywhere. All the furniture is raggedy already. It's wayto overpriced for what you get and the location is way off the MainStreet. There's no way you'd be able to sleep in their beds. Thewifi is super slow and always disconnects. Forget about breakfast androom service. Don't make me start...I Checked in and they gave methe wrong room after paying for an upgrade. When I showed them the roomin the photos, they said it's not available at first. When theyfound the right room and we moved, the ac didn't work! They sent 2technicians but they didn't help. They just said to wait a littlebit for it to cool down. I waited 5 hours and fell asleep in the hotroom. When I woke up drenched in sweat, I requested to change the room.They said they only had smaller rooms available so I moved. When I wokeup, they called me many times telling me it's time to check out! Noone even bothered to apologize after sharing my experience with almosteveryone even the maid. They ended up trying to charge me for theupgraded room in the end when I was downgraded in the middle of thenight. Beware and avoid at all costs!!!

Review 33：The breakfast is very standard. Lacks variety. Juices and yogurts should be refreshed with ice instead of being served at room temperature in the Summer. Staff at the front desk not particularly warm.

The second one is that though breakfast is meant to start at 8, it was not fully served at that time. And some components were served only when i finished.

Review 95：The City Hotel is in a very nice, central location - a short walk from both the main station and Independence Square. Kiev is a lovely city to walk around and so City Hotel makes an ideal base. The entrance to the hotel is just off the main street - so there is a degree of discretion - but you enter into a bright, modern reception area and this bright, modern look sums up what is actually a very smart, comfortable modern hotel. My room - 901 - was very smart, very clean, nicely laid out - and (as a bonus!) - had a balcony - from which you can see St Volodymyr's Cathedral. The restaurant on the 15th floor has terrific views over the city. Despite being ultra-modern the City Hotel is still friendly & welcoming. I just hope I can revisit Kiev soon & stay here again.
