Review 1：This small family owned hotel is clean and spacious. The reception was warm and welcoming. It is easy to access from the main highway but quiet. Great value for the price.

Review 2：Room freezing. Breaker was off due to electrical work previous to our stay. No fault to hotel just an oversight on their part. Problem was solved quickly however.?

Review 6：The comforters, pillows had an odour and did not seem fresh. The carpet was in desperate need of cleaning or even perhaps a clean matt beside the bed to put your feet on so there is no need to step on the main carpet.

Review 11：Don't get the high ratings on this property. It's old, tired and dated. Beds NOT comfortable. Noise from highway kept me awake. Misleading reviews aplenty. Internet wasn't working nor were the phones to tell the office the Internet was down.

Review 13：I mentioned that I have pet allergies but have the sneaking feeling that someone before me had either a cat or a dog in the room. My eyes were all watery, I could hardly breathe all night.It got better when I was out in the fresh air.

Review 14：For the price the motel was an excellent bargain. Clean, quiet, a place for kids to play. Nice view out of the window. Coffee in room, free wi-fi.There was a good restaurant with Greek/Italian food right next door and a family restaurant down the block.

Review 16：Simon, the proprietor, is wonderful. He goes out of his way to make sure that you are happy. He will even call a restaurant for you. The facility is 100% non smoking and extremely clean. Some of the furnishings are a bit dated but well tended. Good place with a good price.

Review 35：the room #7 was ice cold when we got there and took a while to heat up. My wife was not feeling well and this made matters worse. The room is badly in need of updating, is more like a 1965 model.

Review 41：Simon was super! We called prior to our trip to confirm having a small pet was okay. Simon assured us all would be taken care of and he'd personally be by to meet us upon his return. He did and we found him to be very personable and polite!! The Homestyle, Drive In and Olympic Flame restaurants were great places to eat on New Years weekend!! We will definitely return here again!!!!

Review 42：I was shocked to find graffiti on the walls beside the beds...we were in room 8--with two double beds. I've never encountered something like that. The walls should have been repainted--there were also a lot of scrapes and such. There is an unsightly "patch" job in one corner of the tub...the patch is coming undone --either redo it or replace the tub. There is a water leakage problem around the toilet and some staining- I also reviewed this property with photos on TripAdvisor.

Review 43：The owner is very accommodating; the area is good and our stay was fairly quiet. The room looked and smelled clean. The owners have made a good effort to update an old property with coordinated bedding (duvet) and curtains. The sitting area is comfortable. The beds are rather firm but we had a reasonably good sleep in spite of the firmness.

Review 48：By far and away the best thing about the Colonial 900 is Simon the owner. He's friendly without being pushy, he knows the local area well and he's always around if needed.

Review 49：The furniture is quite 'dated'; the chairs too low & small for large bodies & don't get room #2 unless you are ok with a reg.mattress plunked inside an old low waterbed frame - sharp hard edges make getting in & out painful! Not good for seniors. The place desperately needs an ice machine! Lost GPS signal as we approached Hope - so had difficulty locating the motel as it is further out than anticipated.

Review 57：Ok, first of all, don't use Google Maps to get there... It'll take you in the wrong direction. We called the manager and he was awesome giving directions to get to the motel. He was very courteous and friendly. Our little dog was welcome, which was important to us. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We won't bother finding another place to stay when we come to Hope, Colonial 900 is our favourite.

Review 59：Simon was absolutely fabulous! We brought a bottle of wine with us and had no cork screw to open it. Simon not only brought us a cork screw opener but also two wine glasses! We sat in our little outdoor chairs enjoying the outdoors and the great weather. We would recommend this motel to all our family and friends! Great job Simon!

It was, and Simon has also perfected not being intrusive. Overall, a lovely, comfortable, motel managed by a real gentlemen and his charming wife. We would not hesitate to return.
