Reviews for Hotel Crusch Alba
Review 1:Very nice stay! Very friendly staff and owners. Our deluxe room was beautifully decorated, with extra comfy beds. And yes, you have to be intimate as the bathroom is almost open view. Remarkable Italian chef made a delicious and abundant dinner. Excellent big breakfast too.
Review 2:I had no idea the hotel had no lifts when booking. For a solo woman traveller, not in her prime years this was a problem when transferring baggage to and from the room on 4th floor. Also after long walks. There was a chair by the desk to sit on but nowhere to sit to watch the TV apart from the bed which was not ideal. Wifi was hard to use from rooms. Road was busy and so not quiet.
Review 3:A quaint, traditional hotel, well restored. Comfortable with very friendly, helpful staff. Food and breakfast very good. Despite being on top floor in a ferocious heatwave the room remained bearable!
Review 4:Very clean, great food, nice staff, friendly, spoke English. Went above and beyond to find us a place to secure our motorcycle overnight in a garage. First class hotel without the first class prices!
Review 5:We would have liked a bathroom with somewhat more privacy. So if this is important to you you might want to ask for it.
Review 6:The whole place has been renovate with excellent taste with a mix of modern, old style and high quality materials. Staff is efficient and rather friendly. Our room was simple but very comfortable on the quite side, the bathroom was small but top looking and very usable. The whole place was super clean and very well maintained. We enjoyed the tea and finger food buffet during a rainy late afternoon. Dinner was excellent. Breakfast with simple local and excellent products. We really enjoyed our stay and slept like a charm!
Review 7:The parking for this hotel is limited in snowy conditions as the garage was inaccessible when we were there. The parking we were offered was outside just off the main road. Whilst the bedroom was clean, the public areas of this hotel would have benefited from some extra attention to details. The high hair we were give was filthy and the area behind the booth seat were we were sat in the pizzeria had tomato sauce splattered on it and there was discarded food on the floor under the table. We had dinner in the othe restaurant also. The staff took time to explain the dishes in English. The menu and decor etc doesn't quite work with the busy bar so close, but the food was pleasant enough. Breakfast was extensive with lots on offer to suit everyone. We were a little disappointed that some of the pastries were stale however.
Review 8:The reception staff were accommodating and helpful when we checked in and allowed us to choose between three rooms, so we would have the one that was easiest for us with our baby. The room was clean and decorated in a sympathetic alpine style. Well lit and well appointed, although limited power sockets.
Review 9:Great location and very helpful staff. Loved the complimentary afternoon tea and the effort the staff went to cater for us with a small child.

Review 27:Staff were very helpful and friendly. Service was excellent and location near station and postbus stop made access to public transport very easy. Hotel is modern rustic. Very attractive.
Review 28:We went for a cross-country skiing weekend and it was great. The hotel had a wax room, walking distance from the loipe. Staff was extremely nice and friendly. We ate both evenings at the hotel's restuarant and dinner was good value for money. One evening we were not so happy with the food, we told them and they were keen to keep us happy so to make up for it we got a free beer at the bar :) Very cosy place, modern and comfortbale still keeping the Engadine style. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Review 29:very friendly staff, helping me to carry my luggage.I had a spacious double room.nice decoration (wood glass and stone)delicious dinner and rich breakfast.the kind of hotel where you would like to stay more than one night.
Review 30:Nothing wrong with the place. Our room had a low ceiling so may not be ideal for tall individuals. Breakfast room gets full and you have to eat in the overspill but it's nice alone. Bar looks good but smoking still aloud. Put off by this.
Review 31:Good location for cc skiing, restaurant is good, breakfast is Swiss style but good. Beds were comfy, heated mirrors. Internet was good. Staff helped us when we were sick and gave us complimentary hot water to make some meds.
Review 32:While booking the room the hotel page itself stated that the room wouldbe on the 1st floor, which I thought was brilliant due to my disability(using a walking stick). When I arrived, they told me that, they couldnot follow my request and that I had a chois between a room on the 2ndfloor (without elevator) or in the house next door. The room in thehouse next door they told me was newly renovated and was on the firstfloor. Hence, why I opted for said room. Reality hit me when:a) I was not helped with my luggage, which I had to carry up 3 flights of stairs. b) When I entered the room there was neither bed side table nor a bed side lamp. I had to ask the cleaner if she could organize one. c) The bathroom door could not be opened fully since there was a radiator behind, which resulted in having only part of the sink available. d) After I showering, there was water flowing into the bedroom floor. (I have pictures if required). When I checked out the following day, I advised the owner on the flaws and all he could say was oh the room was not finished need I to add more regarding the room? He also asked what can he compensate me with, which at that point I felt required more of a sentence like: Very sorry to hear about the inconveniences we caused you, may we please offer you a reduction of the room rate by 50% or can we offer you the dinner you had with us last night ? Rest assured that I will not advise any of my international and local friends to ever stay there. In fact I will tell them to avoid the place in view of what had happened to me. Last but not least, the owner was so worried about his own image that he omitted to ask me if he could help me with my luggage down the stairs, which I ended up having it to carry myself.
Review 33:Nothing
Review 34:Chose half board dinner but the sizes of the dishes were ridicoulosly small. The service was slow. Lady at the reception not that friendly. Standard double room also too small, hard to move.
Review 35:Very nice interior design.
Review 36:The bathroom was pretty oldfashioned and did not look like the nice one on the picture at all.
Review 37:The breakfast is great, the beds are very comfortable, staff is helpful and welcoming.
Review 38:The newer rooms are quite elegant, but we enjoyed our older room with abalcony. The food was excellent! We didn't even bother to findanother place for dinner.
Review 39:Although the hotel is described as non-smoking, there was a definite cigarette smoke smell in the hotel.
Review 40:Good location; facilities quite acceptable; easy and free parking; good internet/wifi connection.
Review 41:Food was mediocre and I would not eat there again. But there was anoutdoor terrace and we enjoyed drinks there.
Review 42:Hotel was very comfortable, quiet and great value for the price(compared to usual rates on Swiss hotels). We were there over a very hotweekend and, like most Swiss hotels, there was no a/c but the room wascool enough. Zernez is the gateway to the Swiss National Park, our firstdestination and then convenient to drive on to see Upper Engadine andthe six lovely lakes near St Moritz.
Review 43:The entrance to the car park is very narrow and may make some drivers with large cars sweat! The bathroom was very nice but many people would find the shower rather small.
Review 44:We wanted to visit the Grisons and Chur was our first stop. The hotel was very easy to find thanks to GPS and is perfect for visiting the old town, just a few minutes walk and at the same time near shops and the theater. We were upgraded to the building R3 where we had a small apartment which was very nice. As we were only staying one night we couldn't really take advantage of it but for a longer stay it would have been ideal.
Review 45:Great location for exploring, great support for cyclists.
Review 46:Hospitality of the owners was incredibly good! The food for breakfast mainly from local suppliers was fresh & tasty.
Review 47:- Beautifull room - Friendly staff - Close from national park
Review 48:Rooms are quite small but comfortable.
Review 49:Nice location close to Swiss National Park. Also, the breakfast anddinner were quite good.
Review 50:brand new, excellent, stylish fitting of the hotel common areas and guest rooms perfect breakfast buffet
Review 51:Bathrooms were very clean but small and dated.
Review 52:Clean and modern rooms and restaurant. The food was of a very high standard.
Review 53:Definitely the most helpfull staff and owner I have met since long! Great! Thank you. Reto
Review 54:The resturant serves some of the best food I have eaten in Switzerland(lived here for almost 5 years).
