Review 1：(1) Air conditioning for 2 of our rooms weren't working. (2) Need to lug luggages up a flight of stairs to access the elevator.

Review 3：The hotel is hard to find, but only because the one-way and pedestrian-only streets of Varna are so confusing.

Review 4：This is a very comfortable hotel in the center of town with a helpful staff and a pleasant atmosphere.

Review 5：Mattress okay, but pillows were not great. Minor issue - no BBC. Noisy area and construction going on all over. Breakfast was very good, but no fruit and coffee so bad I asked (and it was eagerly provided) for an espresso and an orange from the bar.

Review 14：The hotel needs some life in the bar and outside bar area / sun-lounge. Hotel faces a nice little park which now is a car-park and has public toilets. Rooms were furnished in 1914 style of grandparents, not modern.

Review 41：We've been regular guests at this hotel for the past six years, over the last two years and particularly the last 12 months, we've seen a marked decline in standards that have nothing to do with the ongoing renovations. We arrived at the room and it smelled strongly of cigarettes, so much so that opening the window for an hour did nothing to alleviate it, the cleaner returned and reclined and sprayed the room which helped. Next morning walked down the stairs and found that they were in darkness, when I reported this to the reception, the obviously stressed receptionist put her hands to the sides of her head and shouted ok ok! I told her it wasn't ok. At breakfast, I thought my breakfast was delicious but my husband said his was barely warm and his eggs were solid, he left most of his breakfast which is unheard of. All in all, given our fairly long relationship with the hotel, I have to say we won't be going back.

Review 43：When we arrived we paid for the hotel and for the transfer from the airport. On the last day prior to departure we were asked to add a charge. They told us they did not collect the full amount they wanted for the transfer from the airport. It left an unpleasant feeling for us, we thought we closed the account of our arrival

Slippers provided of very poor quality - not wearable 1 night of stay we had no water in bathroom - went to report at reception told it was due to work being carried out in the centre area ; understand it was not fault if hotel). Notice on reception desk - felt that it shoukd have been posted in each room.

Review 47：There was no heating in the bathroom,when we asked why, with a very rude attidude,the receptionist said that there is not a room with any kind of heating in the bathroom!!!Breakfast was a desaster,everything was cold and when i asked for a bottled water they said that i had to pay for it and they charged 2 euro for a small water!!The next day,there was a breakfast menu but the bread was at least two days old and no honey or any kind of marmelade.To cut a long story short, it was not a five star service or quality at the breakfast.

Review 53：I was always happy to visit Grand Hotel London (previously Musala) but this time I was extremely disapointed. The internet was not working when I arrived (although a connection was possible, no website could be accessed). The receptionist ensured me that it would be fixed next day until noon. Next day first they didn't know anything about it, then I was promised that it was working ("they had tested it") but when I tried, it was not working. Later the same day I was promised again that it was working ("they had tested it") but -surprise, surprise- the situation was the same. When I checked out, after 2 days of staying, the internet was still not working. On top of that, my 3rd Kamenitza beer was warm. I was not warned, I was not asked, they just brought me a warm beer as if it was the most normal thing in the world. And when I ordered in the restaurant a Linguine with Frutti di Mare (as listed in their menu) I got a Spaghetti. Again, no warning, no asking. I appeal to the management to train the staff again. You can't do what you like in a hotel like this. I expect respect and honesty. It is a perfectly normal situation that you will have defects with the internet or no more beer of a kind or no more linguine. But then, talk to your customer, be honest, let them know, let them make the decision to have another (but cold) brand of beer, spaghetti instead of linguine. Don't just ensure them that the internet is working when they will find out just 2 minutes later that it is not.

Review 54：For this hotel you would pay in London more than triple the price. Very friendly staff, very big room, clean as can be, and a bathroom that I never saw in any other Bulgarian hotel. With a real bath :) The hotel is very centrally located next to the pedestrian street.

Review 59：Funny towels, garnished with (unnecessary) lace. We scanned through the mini-bar when arrived and discovered a bottle already opened. We reported to the reception and we were told (it was a guy at that time) that we need to pay for it. We refused politely and they never mentioned afterwards. It was rude, but I guess we survived.

Review 64：We booked a prepaid dinner with Booking.com but ended up with a really high bill for dinner, this apparently was because we hadn't chosen food from the set menu which we hadn't been told of and hadn't been shown. Though we did also pay for two friends to join us. Also at breakfast we were told it was buffet only and when we asked for a menu were told there was none for breakfast, reception told us later that there was and that the waiter was very new, still this is not what we expect from a hotel of this quality.

Review 65：We've stayed many times and jut love the place, it is well run, beautifully appointed and the staff, generally, are very well trained and attentive.

Review 66：Just one minor suggestion, as we arrived late and there was no possibility to have a sandwich or anything to eat, besides the munchies of the minibar. Review 74：Everything about this hotel was fantastic and it made my stay in Varna Fabulous. The hotel is located about 10 mins drive from the bus station, and is at the top (North) of the pedestrian strip, and 100 feet from the church of Sveti Atanasii, and the clock tower. The hotel is also surrounded by cafes and restaurants and shopping. The rooms are clean, spacious and have a really charm to them, with antique furniture, and even a 2nd t.v next to the bed. If you can stay on the 1st floor as it is one of only 4 rooms that has a small deck. If you are in Varna, stay at this hotel.

Review 75：I have reviewed this hotel before, there is very little that could be done to improve it inside. However the approach to the hotel, although it has been somewhat improved, is still dreadful.

The staff are well trained and there is an air of old retro comfort and service. It is just a lovely hotel. There is a well guarded car park at the front.
