Reviews for Villa dos Corais

Review 1:Overall the property is nice and the location is fabulous but it needs a TLC( tender loving care) At your arrival after paying 165 Usd per night they give you a welcome drink in a plastic kids size glass... The rooms are old and beat up, they need to be freshen up with a new coat of paint , new covers and pillows. The floors are white and dirty. You don't feel special in this hotel, they are so busy with the turn around that you are just one more number in the cattle. The restaurant is so slow as well as the reception as we had to wait 30 minutes just to check out, and we felt as the receptionist was doing us a favor, same with the waiters they don't show the friendliness you see in Salvador, they look tired and over it. The van to go to town schedule ends up at 11.15 so basically you have a carefew to be back at the drop off point or you need to walk thru the beach at night or take a taxi. For a hotel of this size and price put a driver until 2 am ! People can eat out in town and have a drink without being rushed. The property could be 5 stars if they put less money in their pocket and more into the business.

Review 2:The location, the views, the gardens, the pillows and the breakfast

Review 3:Internet is not ideal but apparently this is the case on the whole island. In saying that, the hotel is on an island so you shouldn't expect lightening fast speed.

Review 4:Great staff, location and rooms. Beautiful spot.

Review 5:The floors seemed a little dirty and there were a few dead bugs in the room.

Review 6:The drive through the reserve was gorgeous, and the layout of the pousada was quite unique. The infinity pool was superb and they welcomed you with a delicious fruit smoothie! The bathroom and room all together was huge. And the staff-- excellent service!

Review 7:Put us in a room the furthest from the pool / seafront, slightly surly waiter, lacked character

Review 8:2 hammocks on the balcony, right on the beach, decent sized pool

Review 9:There is no transfer in the middle of the day to beach 2 and late at night. The team do not speak English.

Review 10:It is an amazing place. Really recommended. Quite and beutiful.

Review 11:Breakfast choice was quite limited, but for 3 nights it wasn't an issue.

Review 12:Everything, excellent infintiy pool, good service, can have a massage in front of the sea. A bit further away from all of the action, but can walk throught the beach (even when the tide is high it's still possible, but will need to get the feet wet)

Review 13:A great hotel. Good location. The walk to the beach Number 2 takes 10 minutes in the morning and in the evening there is a shuttle from the hotel. The hotel's beach is amazing and relatively quiet. ! Big rooms!! Good service !I would love to go back there

Review 14:I wish it was closer to 2nd beach

Review 15:I loved the helpfulness of the staff, the great inclusive breakfast, wifi access, and the resort was absolutely beautiful

Review 16:One of the pools was green and very dirty. Some staff were more helpful than others.

Review 17:The resort is beautiful and relaxing. We were very happy to be away from the noise and crowds on the second beach, but still only a 10 minute walk. The pool area was very nice, and the 3rd and 4th beaches are less crowded and good for swimming and water sports.

Review 18:The constant music in the swimming pool area! The lack of calm in general. Small repairs needed here and there, breakfast was good but typically brazilian, only one staff member who could speak english.

Review 19:Huge swimming pool, nice transats in the grass next to the beach, beautiful bedrooms, large and handy bathroom, nice garden area, huge breakfast buffet, helpful staff, possibility to play ping pong and kickers, ... A great value, definitely a place I would go back to and recommend to people.

Review 20:very familar style with a lot of noise around the pool/beach from kids and drunken guests in the pool; one time lunch made didnt do good to both of us

Review 21:good location; large and nice, but simple, rooms good breakfast buffet; friendly and carrying staff

Review 22:The wifi was not very fast.

Review 23:The hotel is right on the beach (which is clean and has clear water). It has a nice infinity pool with a swim-up bar, a sauna, a cold water jacuzzi, a nice gym and more. It was impossible not to relax.

Review 24:The location is a bit remote from the 2nd beach (by foot 20-25 min) restaurants and bars. We were ok with it because there was a hotel shuttle bus service in the evenings. The prices in general very high on the island.

Review 25:Beautiful and relaxing location by the beach. The hotel surroundings, pool and garden, are very nice and spacious. Perfect for families with small children. Simple but nice big rooms.

Review 26:This is such a lovely place to stay on the Island. The location is perfect if you're happy to make the beautiful 15 minute stroll along the beach from the livelier parts of the island at the end of the evening. I will definitely seek This place out again if I'm ever lucky enough to come back to Morro de São Paulo

Review 27:Nothing!

Review 28:Quiet location but a few minutes walk from the action at the second beach. Lovely rooms. Gorgeous pool/garden area

Review 29:Friendly and helpful staff. The grounds are very well kept. Breakfast is quite good too. Relatively secluded and quiet.

Review 30:The rooms are very plain but still nice.

Review 31:The pool area is superb! The staff are amazing, specially Diego, a super happy, friendly and helpful guy.

Review 32:We didn't like morro soo much so it was good to come back to this hotel. Had it not been so far and more clean it would have been perfect.

Review 33:The location in front of the sea

Review 34:No room service

Review 35:Great location; excellent facilities

Review 36:It was a lot of ants in the bedroom.

Review 37:Good restaurants and excellence service.

Review 38:Breakfast can have more options; too many "mosquitos" flying around; the food was not correctly protected.

Review 39:As in most tropical settings there are some Mosquitos. We used the net around the bed every night which was good.

Review 40:The location near the beach was very scenic. We enjoyed the smaller resort atmosphere which was tranquil yet attentive with staff. The food at the restaurant was delicious and offered a good variety.

Review 41:We really enjoyed our stay and will choose the Villa dos Corais when we return to Morro. Air conditioner leaked but was fixed promptly when staff was notified. Everything else was wonderful.

Review 42:The rooms are not well suited for more than 2 adults. There are lots of flies and mosquitos. The rooms at Villa dos Corais needs a general upgrade. The towels did not feel like they were washed as they were all grey all full of stains. Noise/music from the Segunda praia when a party is on at night and from the restaurant next door from early in the morning.

Review 43:The pool area and garden is beautiful. Great breakfast!

Review 44:Staff don't be reactive and is not present and convivial Restaurants are not good (only breakfast is ok). Standard room present a low value for money (very cold totally without charm)

Review 45:The situation The large swimming pool The breakfast

Review 46:Far away from the nightlife Impossible to reach after midnight , no transportation is offered by the hotel during the day, just very few in the evening. Far far far away from the nightlife ( 20 min walk , including getting wet in the sea) Low maintainance of the rooms, the toilet got flooded 3 times.

Review 47:The hotel itself is nice and offers a great solution for elders or couples which preffer to stay isolated fron the night life and the center of the village. Quite ecological location

Review 48:make sure you bring some insect repellant because there are mosquitoes around

Review 49:this place is absolutely fantastic, close enough to easily walk to the bars and restaurants on the 2nd beach yet far enough to feel secluded and peaceful. the pool and facilities are excellent and the rooms are huge and extremely comfortable. our only regret was that we wish we could have stayed longer!

Review 50:weather... we had plenty of rain, and then the place only has one restaurant for dinner, so you have to go to down for dinner...

Review 51:Very friendly staff, welcoming, they organised pedicure and manicure for us and massages ad hoc, great rooms, we loved the balcony with the hammocks. Great breakfast. Good shuttle service to town, but it is also easy to walk to the little town if you use the beachfront. Great to relax and quiet. If you like noice and party stay at the center, if you like it quiet but close to the beach the place is perfect!

Review 52:Just perfect resort. Amazing location between 3r and 4th beaches...perfectly maintained, wonderful large bungalows...with private veranda huge bed and a lot of space. Fantastic green environment, beautiful swimming pool in front of the beach...strongly recommended!

Review 53:We stayed in the low season meaning that some of the facilities e.g. the beach bar were not open.

Review 54:This is a superb place to stay in Morro, within easy walking distance of the town but in between two quiet beaches. The villa was large, modern and very comfortable. Both the breakfast and dinner options were excellent. Overall, this is an expensive place to stay but worth the money.

Review 55:Some of the staff were at best consistently inattentive and to some degree rude and uncaring. Hair in the shower was an unwelcome greeting on our arrival.

Review 56:This hotel was stunning and the location on beach 3 was perfect...not more than a 5 min walk to the other lively beaches. Great pool and flower covered villas. A few of the staff (Connie especially) were superb.

Review 57:The main restaurant could be very quiet in the evenings - no complaints about the quality or range of food options though

Review 58:Beautiful rooms, spacious with great balcony and separate shower/dressing area Pool area, gardens and activity areas (fussball, table tennis etc) well thought out, attractive and all central Location quiet but only 5 minutes walk along the beach - or free transfer - to second beach At sunbed food drink service all day Extensive DVD library

Review 59:Room could be cleaner and they could buy new towels...but believe us,when you are there you don't care about that!

Review 60:We heard it's the best hotel in Morro and it's probably true.Everything was great. The position is just perfect, close to the'segunda praia' (you can walk there along the beach or take thefree hourly jeep from the pousada) but laying in between the quiet andstunning 3rd and 4th beaches. Common facilities are great, clean and bigswimming pool with a bar and a lot of lounge chairs to enjoy thefantastic view on the ocean. Breakfast is good, typical braziliancolorful breakfast with fresh food. Staff is friendly and they try theirbest to speak in English...Renon (front desk) was very helpful and kindto us and so were all the waiters...always smiling!

Review 61:Breakfast was nothing special. We were expecting more fresh fruit fromthe local area.

Review 62:Excellent location at the end of the third beach, very quiet andrelaxing. The pool with swim up bar is fantastic with many drinks tochoose from to cool down from the hot Brasilian sun.

Review 63:- Staff: not out-going at all and very grumpy. - Pool bar: poor selection of fruits for cocktails when all other stalls in Morro had amazing selections. - Rooms: our room was located on the last block which was a long walk to the pool and beach. The rooms were too bare, had no charm and the bathroom looked more than tired, even slightly unkept and dirty.

Review 64:- location which was in quieter part of Morro. - The pool: beautiful and big

Review 65:It is not at the center of the action so few people stay for diner or entertainment. They go at Primeira et Segunda Praia.

Review 66:Very good confort, good food and well located by the sea.

Review 67:Most important thing to know: while the beach in Morro is beautiful (toolook at), for those who like to swim in the ocean it's quite a poorexperience. Even at high tide it's hard to find a place deep enoughto swim. This is not specific to the Villa but common to all Morro. Itdidn't bother us much though, as the pool is great and we hadanother beach experience (Trancoso) waiting for us Service ultra slow atthe restaurant (even for Bahia!): At lunch the food took between 1h and1h30 to arrive. We tried it twice then started going outside. Same thingwith coffee: it took them 45 min to get us coffee. I had to go remindthem while the waiters were chatting between themselves

Review 68:Ideal location between the 3rd and 4th beach. 10-15 min walk to old townGreat personnel, always trying their best to help Beautiful room. Nosure I would pay for a standard Nice pool scene (try their Piña Colada!)and enough lounges Very diversified and extensive breakfast, with lotsof (good) options.

Review 69:Loved the staff, they were extremely helpful and went out of their way to provide exceptional service

Review 70:Flies on the breakfast.

Review 71:Absolute paradise, would love to stay couple of weeks.

Review 72:The location and facilities are unbeatable!

Review 73:Fitness center was not working. Prices in the restaurant were kind ofexpensive.

Review 74:Staff, Location, infrastructure, food.

Review 75:Perfect location à.few minutes from the bars and town and on thebest beach

Review 76:Amazing location, great pool, easy access to everything.
