Review 1：Great little family run pousada on the best surf beach in rio. Paolo is a great host and can lend you a board and show the best spots to catch a wave.

Review 6：the location of the guest house appear in Booking 150 metres close the the beach (nice house) and in reality is located in a muddy place, with not lights and with sorrounding fabellas. The owners does not operate with credit cards (only payPal, that did not work) and forced to go to a shopping centre and buy goods for the same value!!!!. Last day, they remored the lock of the guest house and forced to jump over the wall bracking my pants. VERY BAD!!!!

Review 9：The guesthouse is located near the beach. You cross the main road andreach one of the most beautiful surfer beaches of Rio. The big rockgives you shelter, so you can swim in the sea even when there are bigwaves, a rare condition on the beaches around Rio, local fish market..The owner is very helpful and gives support for everythíng you need,treats you like a family member, giving surfing lessons... Spaceousroom, sitting room and kitchen available, very good internet connection(wifi). Very quiet. Easy to reach and park car. Cheap and good foodwithin walking distance. You feel very secure, even if you come backlate in the night.

Review 11：The guesthouse is close to pontal beach, about two blocks. Which isnice. The place has sort of rustic feel and authentic. It is very goodif you are looking for a bit of an experience and to not stay in ageneric hotel. It has the feeling of staying in someones home. There isdefinetly not a usable pool however which I feel was it´s only negative.The guesthouse is a touch pricey but comparable to the rest of Rio DeJanerio so that is not suprising. Overall I liked it

Review 13：The warm and friendly treatment by the hosts was priceless....Decoration is beautiful, since Glaucia, the owner, is an artist. Herhusband Paulo is a passionate surfer who teaches surf as well (thePontal beach is great for surfing). The neighborhood is totally safe,you can walk freely at night along the beach and not be worried of beingassaulted like on Rio's downtown beaches... Don't mind the firstimpression (when approaching to the pousada the last 100 m of the streetare not asfalted, so it's a bit slummish looking), anyhow this place isa jewel!! Simple but so authentic!! It's proximity to the conventioncenter Rio Centro makes it attractive also to the travellers who como toRio for a trade show. It takes a 10 min ride to the Convention centerRio Centro. The hosts are always willing to offer you a ride for a smallsupplement. Pontal beach is a beautiful place to enjoy, and 3 km awaysthere is also the Prainha beach and nature park, so the beach optionsare unlimited. Downtown Rio is pretty far away... Min. 45 min by car,but usually it's more then that due to the traffic. We enjoyed our stayand will defenitely come back next time!
