Reviews for Le Château de Rendeux

Review 1:No bar in the evening while the closest accommodation is not in walking distance. But most disturbing was the staff, or rather the husband and daughter. Both have quite an unpleasant style of serving guests and do not foster a warm pleasant atmosphere. Never seen the daughter smile and George, the husband, is a grumpy, bossy old man. Both need some training in hospitality. The reception and room coordination is done by the very welcoming and friendly mother of the family. Wish all of the family were as nice.

Review 2:Nice castle, easy to get to and in a great area. Clean spacious rooms.

Review 3:Not their problem but the route from Arlon was far from easy

Review 4:A beautiful chateau in delightful large well kept eastate- the dog loved it. the dinner was very good but the service a little slow

Review 5:Although the hotel had an internal lift from the reception area to the rooms, the reception area itself was only accessible via an external flight of steps, so not ideal for guests with mobility problems.

Review 6:Very nice single room, delightfully situated in one of the turrets of the Château. Spacious and well-equipped bathroom. Pleasant restaurant serving unpretentious but well-cooked Franco-Belgian food.

Review 7:If there were more dour faced hotel staff they'd have to be on planet Grumps. Apart from the sounds of crashing crockery and the general feeling of unwelcome, our stay couldn't have been more perfect. Watch the man and woman who clean the rooms. We returned one afternoon to find water or liquid of some kind had been added to our toiletries. The man is creepy as he stares. Outside room 101, sits a tiny cottage large enough for 2 people. They were from the Netherlands if their registration plate is anything to go by. They didn't do anything or go anywhere but watch us from their accommodation. When we walked our dog nearby they'd sit outside and keep an eye on us. In the wee hours of the morning a black car sits outside the gates of the chateau with its headlights on. The driver is a man dressed in a red top who was tailing us on one of our outings. He sat in the car for hours. I noticed him because I took the dog down a couple of times in the wee hours. I recognise this as gang stalking for no matter where we went, mobs hung around us, slowed down when we did and took photos of us. There's definitely an element of racism to the gang stalking.

Review 8:Our dog was allowed into the breakfast area which was wonderful. The expansive grounds meant we could take leisurely walks without running into ourselves. The rooms were sufficiently spacious and the food served at brecwast was a good selection and the bread in particularly was always fresh.

Review 9:A beautiful hotel in large grounds. The room was very good and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The menu was not available in English but with some considerable co-operation from the owner we all had a good meal. Plenty of parking available on site, motorcyclists be aware it is gravel but caused no problems for our group. We would use this hotel again.

Review 12:Very nice parkgrounds and castle

Review 13:The waiter

Review 14:Everything except

Review 15:A little chateau located in a huge garden, away form the main road. Quiet.

Review 16:The combination of comfortable, clean, warm rooms and the downstairs restaurant with well-thought of menu and friendly, personalized service.

Review 17:Gardens, good quality hotel, very good service, food was very nice.

Review 18:everything.

Review 19:Wish we could have stayed longer.

Review 20:Location, comfort food all superb

Review 21:no wifi, staff was moderately friendly

Review 22:wonderfull room

Review 23:There were two disappointing things. There was no wifi which really is very unusual these days when so many people use iPads which can't be plugged into wired internet. Also the hotel is described as "overlooking the Ourthe River" and we were really disappointed that there is no river to be seen. The Ourthe River is a half-kilometre walk from the Chateau itself, is well outside the chateau grounds, across a road and cannot be seen from the Chateau.

Review 24:This is a splendid Chateau set in huge well kept grounds. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The restaurant is excellent. Great value for the price.

Review 25:The space, the grounds, facility to stow 10 bicycles belonging to our group, delicious evening meal and generous breakfast around a table that accommodated the ten of us.

Review 26:The bath was huge but the shower wasn't fixed on the wall so always had to hold the shower while sitting or standing in the bath tub. I mentioned this to the owner and she told me that she's in the process of fixing this in all the bathrooms

Review 27:Fantastic location and so much space. The castle has a huge field where we enjoyed a game of football, the amazing weather and the beautiful scenery in general. The food was also fabulous! We had a four course dinner with amazing wines. Lady of the Castle Nadine was a super host. Will definitely come back!

Review 28:However the bad was big and comfortable, I personaly prefer a shower.

Review 29:Very friendly staff Extensive breakfast in buffet form Super location Very good restaurant Beds are very good

Review 30:The best feature of the hotel is the friendliness of the staff. We received a very warm welcome from the hostess when we arrived at 10.30 at night. When we asked if there was a possibility for food nearby (which there wasn't), she offered to cook us a whole meal right then! Very hospitable indeed!
