Reviews for Summers Country Inn

Review 1:The bed was a bit too hard for us, but we still slept well because of the peacefulness. We couldn't get the TV to work but then found out that her cable had been shut off.

Review 2:It was easy to find, the proprietress was welcoming and helpful. Her breakfast was delicious! The property was beautifully decorated. We may return if in the area again.

Review 3:Very thin walls make night sleep hard, when one of room neighboors uses toilette or shower, it sounds like having the Niagara falls going through your room...

Review 4:Friendly host, close by city

Review 5:No a/c, not enough pillows, rooms were damp (maybe from the humidity?), ran out of hot water in morning for showers

Review 6:Location of rooms in separate building, private bathrooms, breakfast, friendly staff, clean

Review 7:Very good value; friendly staff; hearty breakfast; comfortable bed. The room was nothing fancy but it served the purpose. The inn is on the main street but the town is quiet at night so there wasn't a lot of traffic noise.

Review 8:The bed was not great. Very, very squeaky. You couldn't straighten a leg without waking up from the noise from the springs. The mattress was too hard, the pillows to small and flat. Also, we asked at 9:30pm where we could get a cup of tea at bedtime. The owner directed us to the Tim Horton's up the street:( I thought at least an offer of a cup of tea would have been appreciated this late.

Review 9:The location was perfect for my purpose there. The breakfast was a hot breakfast.

Review 10:All around wonderful experience. Suzanna was a charming hostess, knowledgeable of the area and welcoming to all staying there. Comfortable room and beautifully appointed home in a very special community.

Review 11:Room was large and clean. Breakfast was excellent with great variety, location very good too. If ever back in town would definitely stay again. Thanx Cheryl!!

Review 12:Room and bath were small but were large enough. Really no complaints.

Review 13:Wonderful staff, including a sweet grandson who helped entertain. Food was excellent.

Review 14:Food was well below standard.- No breakfast choices (told what bkfst was) - Poor quality breakfast (ultra low quality fatty bacon undercooked, french toast was weirdest ever) - If the food was changed…the stay would be recommended, but food is a MAJOR part of a B&B!

Review 15:Location was very convenient Parking was good Owner was pleasantIndividual bathrooms (+++) Very clean

Review 16:I found the parking lot area rather small, and I would have liked to have had a refrigerator in the room.

Review 17:The staff were pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The grounds were beautiful, the location was great (close to town), and the room was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 18:Main bed rather creaky and so a slightly disturbed nights sleep.

Review 19:Size of accommodation Cleanliness and style of decor Breakfasts Location, very close to centre and easy to find.

Review 20:A little noisy from people above us.

Review 21:Location was excellent, in walking distance to the boardwalk and restaurants. Very clean unit and staff were very friendly. Great breakfast in the morning.

Review 22:Two story converted home with most (all?) bedrooms on second floor. Owner and staff very friendly. Breakfast sumptuous. Room very clean and queen-size bed comfortable four poster (though pretty high to climb into).

Review 23:Most bedrooms were not in the main house banana separate building behind, not a Victorian setting, more of a commercial property, staff not as refined as we would like, sitting area small

Review 24:Rooms were fairly clean, common area small but comfortable. Did not have the Victorian setting we were looking for. The staff was jovial but not refined as we would like

Review 25:There was nothing that we would change.

Review 26:The accommodations were excellent. The owner and staff were friendly and made our stay enjoyable and memorable. The location allowed us to travel easily to all of the sights we wanted to visit. We could not have asked for a better experience even with the visit of Hurricane Arthur.

Review 27:accommodation in a separate building which could be a problem in bad weather. No early morning coffee available, just with breakfast.

Review 28:all the way from Florida and I got to see a NS motorcycle rally, great location and a short walk to the main street

Review 52:The room was comfortable and quite.

Review 53:A warm welcoming place to stay. Run on a traditional B&B basis by very friendly staff. Lovely rooms and decor. Only a five minute walk from downtown. Owner gave us a recommendation on where to eat and it was also excellent.

Review 54:Absolutely fabulous stay, owner Miss Gloria was incredible; Miss Cheryl was so hospitable and helpful in everyway. We will definitely be back and will tell friends about this wonderful B&B.

Review 55:The bathroom needed a place to put cosmetics and such. A shelf would work.

Review 56:I/we liked the comforts of feeling at home. Very nice decorated for color and comfort. I/we would go back at a moments notice. Missed having breakfast because of a ferry connection but a most delicious brown bag with muffins and banana bread was ready for us to take along. Delicious.

Review 57:Summer's Inn is located on the main road into Digby and therefore is quite noisy quite late into the evening and early in the morning.

Review 58:It was within convenient walking distance of central Digby and restaurants and a short drive from the ferry. The room was very comfortable. The staff gave us some muffins and cookies for breakfast as we were leaving before breakfast was served.

Review 67:It was close to the centre of Digby. Very comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Easy to find. Easy parking. Tasty breakfast.

Review 68:Our host greeted me by name, and gave us the pick of two rooms. We chose a beautifully appointed and spacious upstairs room, and settled in for a quiet drink before exploring Digby (and feasting on Digby scallops). We had to catch the 8:00 ferry the next morning, and our host got up early to lay out an exceptional continental breakfast. The fresh fruit salad was to die for! Of all our accommodation over the 10 days of our trip to the Maritimes, including a 4-star B&B in Notre Dame du Portage, this inn tops the list.
