Review 1：We didn't sleep well that night, we guess it is due to the location of the hotel, it is a bit high which we couldn't get used to it. But it is nothing do with the hotel definitely!

Review 2：Nice and helpful staff! As the hotel breakfast is started at 8am, and we have to take the earliest train down to town in the next morning, we can't have the breakfast that morning, however, the staff is so kind to prepare a bag of breakfast for each of us! Their service is amazing!

Review 3：Costs $40CHF to get there from Zermatt. Not an issue if you're on a ski ticket but rather pricey if you're not skiing.

Review 11：Arrived from Geneva via train, and cog rail up to the top of the Gornergrat Very friendly staff at arrival We where taken to our room...I had requested an upper floor room with a view of the Matterhorn and i wasn't disappointed, stunning view through window Kettle and chocolates in the room and free Wi-Fi and TV able to pick up English channels if required The deal includes Dinner and Breakfast the dinner was OK as a vegetarian i had as much salad as i wanted, soup, and a tofu dish and sweet, breakfast was typical Swiss fare, but you could also have eggs to order The restaurant for the residents was nice and the care and attention of staff good Take some out after the crowds have gone to enjoy sheer peace and quiet and beauty of the place There are a few expensive shops at the hotel for all the day visitors, and a restaurant which had a strange smell coming form it Look its not cheap but not many places you will get to stay like this, walking up in the morning to a crystal blue sky and staring out on that mountain view priceless

Review 13：The view out the window is amazing, the whole environment is amazing. You can just walk outside in the morning to watch sunrise over Matterhorn; during the night, when there are no one else outside, you can walk out and look under the stars over all the glaciers and mountains around you. The view just worth it all.

Review 14：The staffs are very friendly and helpful. We went there to celebrate the birthday. Knowing the hotel is at the special location, they even prepared the surprise (a prosecco) at the room with the decoration and also some decorations at the dinner table.

Review 33：The cost of the room was more than double what I paid for one down in Zermatt, and the room itself was pretty bare-bones (albeit with extremely fluffy and comfortable blankets for the bed). If you're going to be skiing its a convenient mountaintop place to stay, but if you're just there for the views and/or traveling on a budget I'd say skip the cost of the overnight stay and just take the first train of the morning up - you'll save quite a bit and still have an almost-empty mountain viewing area to yourself.

Review 34：This was a beautiful property - hotel staff was wonderful and the hotel was very well kept. Was cloudy when I arrived at night and had just started snowing, so couldn't really see any of the magnificent promised views. But set my alarm to wake up early before the first lift of skiers and WOW - a whole mountaintop to yourself and the small handful of other guests staying at the top! Don't miss this chance for some incredible photo opportunities and peace & quiet alone in the mountain stillness!

Review 42：Excellent location and clean facilities. WIFI which you have registered at the hotel can be used at other Matterhorn facilities (e.g. Trockener Steg, Rothorn) and it is very comfortable. Also you can charge your lunch/tea fee to the hotel by showing "Discover card" at thier group restaurants (e.g. Grand Hotel Zermatterhof, Riffelhaus 1853, Rotherhon).

Review 55：We didn't sleep well at all. The hotel receptionist warned us that some people have trouble sleeping due to the altitude (over 3,000 meters or 10,000 feet) and the dryness. The dryness was the real problem for us. We finally fell asleep when it started to snow outside and that added a little humidity to the room. Suggestion: offer small in-room humidifiers to guests who have trouble with the dryness. Was a little disappointed that the fish main course at dinner was cod -- why not serve a Swiss freshwater fish like trout or egli or pike-perch? Cod seems like a bad fit. The bathroom light was too dim. Towels were thin and only one washcloth was provided for two people. The "seersucker" type fabric for the duvet and pillow covers was a little scratchy.

Review 56：We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the hotel. The staff were great, putting a bottle of prosecco in our room, giving us a corner table in the dining room with a special centerpiece. The location is amazing. Note: all the rooms have wonderful views, even those that don't have a direct view of the Matterhorn. Dinner was very good -- we had the veal main course and a bottle of Heida white wine from the Valais was a perfect complement. Although we didn't sleep well, the bed itself was certainly comfortable. Wifi was free and good quality.

Review 57：The view from our room was excellent. We just opened the window, and could see the golden Matterhorn in the morning & starry sky in the night. Certainly, we must thank god for the good weather. In addition, the price included fabulous breakfast & dinner in a cozy restaurant further made me feel it's an excellent place to stay.

Sunrise was something that we will never forget. Amenities and rooms are clean and good enough - for 3100m height, and they also offered some free wi-fi, waters and welcome chocorate.
