Reviews for Hotel La Ferronniere
Review 1:1. There was an unpleasant oudor. 2. The room was on the second floor with cash. 40 steps to climb with the luggage. 3. The access to the toilet was inconvenient.
Review 2:Breafast was delightful.
Review 3:Not the cheapest, certainly in high season, but well worth it
Review 4:Nice staff, beautiful spa at no extra cost, cozy pup to play with. Huge room (they all are, both old and new, we come here regularly)
Review 5:Slightly strange stuffy atmosphere about the place. Insisted that we both had the same menu despite wanting different. Food overpriced for the quality. Some attention to detail lacking in the room like loose tap fitting...
Review 6:Really lovely duplex room with very nice spa facilities. Great breakfast spread
Review 7:Bed was split into 2 (not great for romantic couples) Toiletries in shower was empty No slippers No minibar
Review 8:Peaceful location Large beautiful room/duplex Balcony Good wifi
Review 9:Not a big issue but the conditions of access to the wellness center should be more clear on the booking.com website (i.e. not included in the price + closing at 19:00).
Review 10:The staff was great. The breakfast was very good and well furnished.
Review 11:The room decor was a little dated (if you care) and the price a bit high, but if we find a good deal in the future we would come again
Review 12:A room was very spacious and clean The bed was extremely comfortable, we had a lovely sleep We arrived late in the evening with two very tired young children, the staff kindly arranged for some very tasty sandwiches to be brought up in our room along with some lovely local beer
Review 13:We got a room at the top of the house without a seating area or balcony as promised on the booking. The owner wasn't available when I enquired about this only his mother who couldn't speak any English . The room was tired and worn and needed re decorating. The spa was at an extra cost of 15 euro each which I felt was unreasonable given we were guests. We didn't have food so cannot comment. The owner never sought us out to establish if we were comfortable and we only got to see him two days later when we decided to check out early. There is little to do in bouillon though it's nice for a day. This hotel is expensive and gets excellent rating and I just cannot see why. Go to durbuy which is a nicer place with better hotels for a similar experience and less cost
Review 14:The house as a building was nice and the separate building with new rooms and spa very nice
Review 15:We had hoped to have an evening meal in their lovely restaurant but it was closed. We only found out when we came to reserve the night before. Also no refreshments available as the bar was closed and no drinks in the mini bar. But it was not the end of the world we still enjoyed our stay.
Review 16:This is an amazing place to stay the views and room was spectacular. The breakfast was the best ever - this is the view of very frequent world travelers.
Review 17:The weather during our stay...
Review 18:Really nice place to stay! Super room for 4, great food, especially breakfast! Merci
Review 19:View Garden & trees Staff Facilities
Review 20:Amazing location, great facilities, excellent spa
Review 21:Hotel, location,
Review 22:The bed was uncomfortable
Review 23:Beautiful enviroment, perfect breakfast, nice hotel with frendly staff
Review 24:The location of the hotel is fantastic - outside of town, but only a short walk from it, uphill, with views of the caste from the backyard, where in the evenings you can spend time drinking wine and sampling delicious appetizers. Staff are very friendly, even though not everyone speaks English. And the breakfast is amazing: lots of choices of breads, pastries, cheese, meats, fruits and anything you could wish for!
Review 25:Wish the wellness centre were open later instead of during the day when people want to go outside to do things...
Review 26:Breakfast is amazing, really good homemade jams/spreads, and freshly baked croissants!
Review 27:all was good
Review 28:Beautiful spot and wonderful views. Lovely clean and tidy hotel. Very nice stay. Owners were happy to fill up our thermos to set us on our travels. Thank you.
Review 29:Located up a steep hill away from the town centre. We were booked, arrived to find a note saying reception unattended, please call mobile no. to alert us. What if no mobile? Why should we be making that much effort to check in? Next part said we will be there between 5&6 pm. As it was 2minutes to 5, we relaxed somewhat. At 5:20, fed up with waiting in the heat, we rang-our expense- hostess said coming in 5 min., no apology for absence or our inconvenience when I said we'd been waiting 20 mins. Then walked up to 1st floor, room with slightly ajar door rejected, we had to walk up another floor to room not as booked. We booked more expensive room and were shown smaller without sitting area. When complained, were given suite next door- to our advantage. Assume room booked- on 1st floor wasn't ready. Didn't want breakfast when asked by hostess, host rang and hassled us about having it, he had to order the bread!! Next morning on checkout he was surly and unfriendly. Not a good feeling about the whole experience .
Review 30:The beautiful setting, hotel as typical family run European establishment was classy and comfortable feeling.
Review 31:We arrived to the beautiful grounds of this wonderful hotel to a warmwelcome from the family that run it. We were shown to our room which wasone of the duplex rooms in the beautiful new annex. All I can say is thepictures don't do it justice and they are stunning, I wish I hadbooked for a weekend not a night. The restaurant was a dining experienceand the onsite husband/chef is a genius. For both my partner and I atop ten meal in a top 10 hotel. Worth the stop in Bouillon which reallyis a lovely area. Go there now!
Review 32:Fabulous and warm hospitality, Good 'cuisine', Reasonable prices, excellent breakfast (don't miss it!) fresh and handmade, perfect location with a private parking (closed at night), both historic (main building) and modern atmosphere (new rooms in separate building). Beautiful Spa- facilities. Really a place to come back. Also very convenient for people with luxury cars.
Review 33:It was a bit noisy in the morning, but not terrible.
Review 34:The staff were polite and the room was clean and nice. Friendly dog who enjoys a good pet made me smile.
Review 35:I think spa is not good enough hot for Japanese. But it is normal in EU.
Review 36:Staffs are so kind and friendly. We had dinner and breakfast at there, both meals were so nice. I can recommend to have meals at there strongly. They have a spa. We enjoyed very very much. We want to go back there someday.
Review 37:A hotel of charm in a delightful setting, with views overlooking the town and castle, run by a couple who combine professionalism and friendliness. Good quality, copious breakfast. Restaurant ideal for a special occasion. We shall return.
Review 38:The food in the restaurant, although perfectly ok, was very sparse for the price. We spent £100 for 2 adults and a child and we all went away hungry. Dinner took 2 hours to serve. Comparable restaurants in the area were quicker, cheaper, more filling and of equal quality.
Review 39:Annex contains 4 or 5 separate mini-suites on 2 levels. These are well appointed and comfortable. Despite many buttons to adjust the lighting we could not change the temperature setting; a constant 26 degC was a bit much for sleeping.
Review 40:Welcome explanations as to facilities and the complex lighting and heating system: the first night the spa was to have worked until 7h30 and when we went it was open but neither hamman nor sauna were working and overal the jaccuzzi was cool Fixed menu althoigh fabulous takes about 3 hrs
Review 41:Wonderful design, spacious rooms, the location and view and first rate restorant
Review 42:The location of the hotel it is just perfect. The town is not too far from the hotel, the view is breathtaking. We had a room with balcony and with an city - overview. We could enjoy the lights of the city and most of it, the lights from the ruin of the Castle. The breakfast was good, the staff was very friendly.
Review 43:All perfect
Review 44:Friendly owners, family run. We got an upgrade of our room for free.Breakfast was very good with home made jam, paté etc. Truly lovely stay!
Review 45:We thought 5 euros for a jus d'orange a little steep! It would be lovely to have some more information in English in the room about things to do in the area. We do speak some Dutch so we were OK but this may reflect the fact that they get mainly French speaking and Flemish speaking visitors. A visit to the local tourist centre gave us all we needed.
Review 46:Lovely friendly dog to greet you, new wellness centre, excellentmassage, good view of Boullion Castle, nice breakfast, comfortable room.Loads for kids to do in the area. Plenty of restaurants to choose fromin the town. Castle to visit, falcon display at castle, animal parkwithin a few minutes drive, very nice nature walks in the area.We really did enjoy our stay and would come again!
