Reviews for Grifid Arabella Hotel - All inclusive

Review 1:Even if bigger, the apartment to which my parents were upgraded was not as beautifully decorated as regular rooms. The colours were not as lively and the view was actually lateral sea view. This wasn't such a big inconvenient though.

Review 2:The food was excellent, diverse and changed from day to day. The a la carte restaurants were also great! The entertainment in the evening exceeded my expectations, especially the opera singers on the 5th (gala dinner). Absolutely amazing! The purple room decor was also very beautiful, loved the spacious rooms and the intricate decor of the mirrors above the beds.

Review 3:There were ants in the room.

Review 4:Cleaning personnel was very nice and very prompt. Amazing views. I've got a complimentary apartment instead of double room, great deal!

Review 5:This vacation was a strange mix of chaos (night shows never started at the scheduled hours, they were always shorter than scheduled), generalized boredom (animation team wasn't enthusiastic like previous years) and absurd military rules applied randomly (you cannot play with beach-balls in pool, all the lights are turned off). For example, we played cards inside the spa lobby (where is a large table and enough light to play) and at 23.45 a employee of the hotel passed near us and locked the doors (which also trigger the turning off the light in the lobby – the exterior lights are turned off automatically at 23.00) without any warning. After that he passed near us again and leave (without saying anything!). We remained speechless! The wifi is either extremely poor (in the lobby is free, but very slow and it needed 5 minutes to connect) or expensive (almost 10€/day in rooms).

Review 6:The food was better than previous years, especially the cakes. A special night was taking place Saturday Evening with some interesting stuff (including Bulgarian cuisine). Minibar contained Pepsi drinks, not nameless ones like in previous years (but nonetheless you have to ask for them).

Review 7:It's 2015 and you still have to pay to have WiFi in rooms (not so all inclusive, after all). You have to pay for parking. Very bad rate at their internal exchange office. Too much noise from the external pubs/clubs.

Review 8:Very pleasant, good people, good and plentiful food.

Review 9:There was a dresscode that was kinda unnessesary. You had to wear long pants in order to get in. I had to go and buy a pair. The check in and the check out took about 1 hour each which is a long time. The key to the room didnt work. The elevators where slow and the food was poor in quality.

Review 10:The personell where trying very hard. The view was good.

Review 11:the fantastic reception staff welcomed us with champagne and the rest of the staff were superb, fantastic food, brilliant rooms, own beach, great location, all inclusive till 2.am cocktails included,in my opinion the best hotel in golden sands and weve stayed in a few, dont hesitate to book this hotel more English need to experience the delights of this resort and hotel

Review 12:Not enough sun beds at the swimming pool, idea of reserving sun beds with towels or anything else, pool/lobby bar order given to somebody else (not an issue for bartenders), no indoor jacuzzi, outside jacuzzi is just a joke, shower gel and shampoo look like liquid soap (probably it is liquid soap), free WI-FI in the lobby worked time to times, no aqua park (have to pay to go to Grifid Bolero for 2 hours only), animation team a lot lower comparing to Bolero one - overall, comparing to Grifid Bolero, it just looks like a cheaper sister (although the prices are similar) and they are trying to cut the cost by any means they can.

Review 13:Acceptable food, cocktails OK, general cleanliness, large and modern room

Review 14:The tree elevators are way to slow, the pool is a little bit small and the lunch after the check out was available for extra payment although I asked at the reception if we can eat and she said yes

Review 15:The stuff are very helpful, the bed is very big and comfy, the room been cleaned every dat perfectly

Review 16:Initially they did not provide me with the room I had booked and paidfor ("side sea view"). I actually had no sea view at all. Ihad to insist and it took me three visits to the reception and 1,5 hourbefore they provided me with a correct room. All little extras arepayable: sauna, safe in the room, internet in the room, etc. etc. All inall I was not impressed by this place.

Review 17:Food is nice!

Review 18:No bad experience, one small issue is the wiffi is payable in the rooms, but free in the lobby

Review 19:Every thing is possitive, and if you include the cost, then it was supperb

Review 20:The free wi-fi didn't work in the hall, restaurant or in the bedroom. I didn't like the drinks : coffee and juices.

Review 21:The variety of the food, the room was big and clean.

Review 22:-parking was a bit expensive. -free internet only in the lobby.

Review 23:-The hotel was spotlessly clean, our room was stunning (modern, quiet, clean, see view). We liked that the indoor pool was heated so we had a lot of fun in the water. -The reception staff welcomed us with champagne on arrival. They were really helpful and efficient. -The food was excellent, varied and abundant. The Asian restaurant impressed us the most. -Entertainment was really good -we enjoyed rifle shooting, bicycle ride, aqua-gym and evening shows. Many thanks to the entertainment team and to all the staff for making our mini-holiday a special one.

Review 24:Parking at 10 euros a night was expensive and places restricted. Next door is an underground car park for 6 euros per night

Review 25:The food was first class unlike many all inclusive hotels we have stayed in. Big room with sea view balcony. The staff were exceedingly polite and helpful and this hotel lives up to its 4 star rating. I would definateley recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Review 26:The lobby bar and pool area seem a bit outdated. Our bathroom needed some fixing (replacing the shower head and the bathtub drain, and also the toilet was leaking). The heating wasn't working.

Review 27:The staff is very nice and attentive. The rooms are spacious, bright, have modern furniture and some of them offer beautiful views of the sea. The food is great and diverse. The main restaurant serves also diet food and you can find plenty of options for vegetarians.

Review 28:Small area, noisy, children running around the corridors and knocking on the door, paid parking, paid sunbeds, surcharge Internet access in rooms, poor Internet signal in our room, most people are still regular time eating and drinking, a lot of drunk people, a lot of desserts with synthetic creams.

Review 29:Big rooms, friendly staff, lots of food, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, gym.

Review 30:The main stage is the opposite of the building, a little bit noisy from annimation

Review 31:I really liked the location, meal in the main restaurant and the cleaning service in the room. Our cleaner Vessy made a nice figures and toys from towels every day

Review 32:Very nice hotel, friendly staff, lots of activities to do, sports and fun, very clean, big rooms with lovely seaside views, good location, close to the sea, good food. I would come again.

Review 33:The desk for swimming pool towels is open between 09,00 - 10,00 and 17,00 - 18,00. If you want to go to swim in first day of accommodation, you can do it, but without towels.

Review 34:Soundproofing for rooms is not very good and noise is heard from outside. Even when they clean the pool in the morning. There were not enough sunbeds available at the pool. No beach bar and beach sunbeds and umbrellas are not for free.Beach sunbeds are untidy. Evening performances are extremely bad and made by animation team members. Traditional bulgarian night was an exception.Internet is bad and expensive. Alcohol is not original, drinks are bad quality. The parking is not covered and is expensive. They try to overcharge for everything. Even for the safe in the room.

Review 35:Very nice atmosphere, try to provide maximum in limited space there is available.Hotel staff very friendly. The location is wonderful. Spacious rooms. Have a good snackbar. A la carte restaurants are very nice and serves good food.

Review 36:Staff not naturally pleasant Small swimming pool Charge for using beach sun loungers Charge for Wifi Staff lacking language skills Dated decor

Review 37:The Black Sea Cleanliness Food variety Scenery Size of rooms Staffing levels

Review 38:The whole experience is faultless, great staff , great location, great room.

Review 39:Excellent, efficient and friendly staff. The food is always of a high standard

Review 40:Wifi.

Review 41:Good location, large room

Review 42:Hotelul

Review 43:Family hotel

Review 44:Location,great staff

Review 45:1-No free wifi in the rooms. 2- A lot of noises and loudness in the pool area.

Review 46:Pool nice, excellent restaurants, friendly and helpful staff. No complaints.

Review 47:No free Wi fi internet connection in rooms

Review 48:Confortable big rooms Animation team

Review 49:The location is not very handy if you have a small child and want to go to the beach. The fact that you have to pay for parking and beach facilities. The playground is not for kids under 3 or 4 years old and the slides and swings are very old and unsafe. The quality of the drinks are very poor. The outside pools were very cold. If you stay at the 1st floor you might have a poor view of the outdoor pools and sea (rooms 121 and 122).

Review 50:The big plus is the heated indoor pool. The food was ok and the room was renovated and cozy.

Review 51:1. problems with the car parking... 2. a made a print from my booking.com reservation but it was not valid !!! you only need the VOUCHER... but I did not have it, so pay attention to that

Review 52:the others, except the 2 mention problems

Review 53:having to pay for the parking which was double the price of any parking place I have payed so far. The hotel beach was also quite expensive.

Review 54:good location, close to the beach, staff very well trained, very clean all round, excellent restaurant with good variety of food

Review 55:Our holiday was to short(only 1 week)

Review 56:The staff was helpful and professional always smiling, saying 'hello' or asking if we needed anything. Great food in the main restaurant buffet, plus for variety they had extra Bulgarian, Italian and Asian style restaurants which were also included in the price. The staff in the loby bar was fantastic to ! The maid did a good job of our room, and surprised us with random towel sculptures on our bed each day.Wery helpful staff at the reception, concierge, andcostumer service as well. Grifid hotel is theBulgarian Ultra All Inclusive Specialist,THAT'S TRUE !!!! Very god value for money!

Review 57:Paid parking, paid wifi in the room, paid chaise longues & umbrellas on the beach, small pool, got scratch on car because of one big bus which didn't have enough room to turn around in the parking (and the hotel did not call me to move the car even though I left card with phone and room number in the windshield). Overall, a little too expensive for what it offers.

Review 58:Cleanliness, food, drinks, staff.

Review 59:There were not enough sunbeds and umbrellas for the main busy season in August when we stayed. Had to pay for sunbeds on the beach.

Review 60:The food was excellent and the choice was very varied all day. Everywhere was very clean. Staff were all very helpful and polite. The rooms were very large. Positioned right on the main promenade by the beach and in the centre of the resort. All inclusive was available until 02.00.

Review 61:The extra money for parking but especially for the beach chairs, and also the poor quality of beverage.

Review 62:I liked the most the hotel's position very close to beach, the cleanliness, the food, the polite staff.

Review 63:Rude reception staff, too many rules in the hotel. sometimes you fill in a camp. Parking very expensive (10,50€ per day), for half price you can park anywhere in Golden Sands. Hotel International's closed car park is next to the hotel and is 6€/day. Pools clean in the morning, dirty as of noon.

Review 64:Rooms renovated, food ok, drinks ok, better AI than most 4* hotels in Golden Sands. Good kids club

Review 65:Air conditioning was broken for 2 days before they fixed it. They charged us extra for staining a pillow cover with hair dye.

Review 66:The location and friendliness of staff.

Review 67:- even if it is a bulgarian coast all inclusive hotel, where you should feel relaxed, and enjoy the hot time of summer, the restaurant dress code for dinner was very strict( men to wear long trousers) even if there was nothing special about that restaurant. - the wifi was free and accessible only in the hotel lobby, not outside by the pool, nor in rooms. - the pool was closed at 5 pm( in summer period where the sun was up till 8:30pm). - very poor in natural juices or fruits. The juices, fruits and even water were very low and not healty.

Review 68:No beach !!!! u must be kidding me...

Review 69:For a family with young children it wasn't ideal location. Right outsidethe resort there is a club scene and the music is booming every nightuntil 3 am if u are a sensitive sleeper this place is not for you. Thefood is very descent and the service is pretty good. I would may be trythe other Arabella I think it's a little further from the clubs.

Review 70:Everything is perfect except their Asian Restaurant. They have twochoices, one is they change their name of the restaurant ,the other isthey close their restaurant.Because their Asian restaurant is far fromAsian restaurant.

Review 71:Everything is perfect and we enjoyed staying very much.Especially theyhave a very nice staff there.

Review 72:The walls were a bit thin, but our neighbours weren't too bad sothis wasn't an issue for us. Also, there was a bit of noise fromthe entertainment in the main area (normally finished around 11pm)and the downstairs club. Again, it didn't bother us, but maybe anissue for some. The hotel doesn't have it's own beach, so you have to pay for the sun loungers and parasols each day, which can get quite expensive (price was the same across the whole beach and the only free areas are right at the front, or far back).

Review 73:The staff and customer service were definitely the best thing aboutthis hotel. Every single one was welcoming, helpful andprofessional; from the girl at the front desk to the restaurantstaff, and even the technician who came and quickly fixed a smallproblem with the air conditioner. Always smiling, saying 'hello' orasking if we needed anything.Great food in the main restaurant buffet, plus for variety they had extra Bulgarian, Italian and Asian style restaurants which were also included in the price. The beach seemed a bit of a walk to begin with; then we spotted a gate behind the swimming pool which took us straight there (down some steps and across the road). The cleaner did a good job of our room, and surprised us with random towel sculptures on our bed each day. Also, the mini-bar was always topped up. Initially we had only booked 3 nights, but extended to 7 after enjoying the first 3 nights; in all one of the best hotels I've stayed at, mainly due to the customer service.

Review 74:I made check out at 11,30 and after the receptionist invite us to left immediately the resort. This is unacceptable and it never happened to me - at least I enter after 14,00 o'clock and I payed for two days all inclusive - why I can not take the dinner and stay two more hours at the beach ????? Shame !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review 75:I did not like being charged for security box key being present in my room. If I wanted to put my personal belongings into the safety box I had to pay extra 9 BGL per day plus extra 20 BGL per day per parking plus if you wanted decent Internet you had to pay another around 12 BGL per 12 hours because free wireless acces was only available in the lobby. Stuff at the reception not very polite and willing to help, on contrary atitude was rather rude and bad. On the checking out I left a small card used for towells in the pool area in the room, the receptionist with an amazing atitude told me "You're going to have to go and bring it to us!!!". What can I say...maybe she was new...

Review 76:The A-la-carte restaurants (Asian food, Bulgarian and Italian)...I was on the first two in two evenings. Very good food and well served.

Review 77:The staff was not so friendly and the receptionist was quite rude. Once, the cleaning lady came at 15:30 to clean the room while my daughter wassleeping. Blurred “dirty” water in the swimming pool. Not so close tothe beach. There are not enough spaces for parking.

Review 78:Extremly high price of the parking lot 10 Eur/day.

Review 79:Staff, location & good services. The best I had in Golden Sands since I had many experiences in other hotels (Mimosa, Admiral, Kaliakra).

Review 80:no ramps for trolleys

Review 81:This is the best all-inclusive hotel in Golden Sands. I was a guest of Grifid Arabella for more than 10 times.

Review 82:N/a

Review 83:All was great!

Review 84:entertainment team especially, a very large and clean room and various food

Review 85:The receptionist Elizabeth gave us another room than what we booked. She was very rude.

Review 86:The food was excellent, the staff were friendly

Review 87:not an elegant restaurant, so i dont know whymen need lon trowsers!

Review 88:stuff very friendly!!

Review 89:Paying for parking 20 lev a day

Review 90:Second time at this Hotel both times Brilliante.
