Reviews for Royal Park Boutique Hotel

Review 1:Far from 4 stars! It was very cold. Not for families with kids.

Review 2:It's located nearby the central railway station, not far from shopping center Arena Plaza.

Review 3:Lack of restaurants close to the location. We arrived late at 10pm and the closest restaurants were 10-15 min walk away based on the recommendation of front desk staff and one of them closed at 10pm:( No coffee machine or boiling kettle in the room. Euro 2 each night to rent the kettle.

Review 4:Location close to train station Modern decor Good breakfast

Review 5:The breakfast area is really small. out of 5 mornings we had to wait 4 times (about 10/15 minutes) till a table was available for two. The parking places at the hotel are very limited (about 10 places) and most of the time are reserved. The neighbourhood is a very bad one, lots of drunk people and drug dealears are on the area close to the station. During the night prostitutes are waiting for clients at the entrance of the hotel.

Review 6:The hotel was quite busy during breakfast, with queues sometimes as there is limited space. Breakfast could be improved with a bigger array of options.

Review 7:Great location and good value for your money. Friendly staff and good facilities.

Review 8:Some little problems (water on the floor in the bathroom, nonfunctional blinds)

Review 9:Really great location (near railstation and metro and bus) Rich breakfast and great staff with english "Happy desing" of room Winter package is so useful!

Review 10:sound insulation of room is very poor because you always hear if somebody make noise in corridor.

Review 11:the location is very convenient to go everywhere you want, many fast food and restaurantes around here

Review 12:A comfortable hotel at a reasonable price, located near Keleti station so ideal for public transport connections in central Budapest. The staff were very helpful and speak excellent English!

Review 13:A little out of the city centre, however cheap taxis & the Metro compensate.

Review 14:Comfortable clean rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Metro just over the road. Good hearty breakfast.

Review 15:None

Review 16:Location is just opposite to main rail station.Safe area. Plenty of dining options outside. Hotel breakfast had plenty of varieties and of good qualities.

Review 17:IT is not really near to the center, but it is 1 minute from a major stations where you can take metro

Review 18:The stuff is really polite and helpful. Rooms are very clean. They allowed us to check in earlier and we had a nespresso coffee machine at the room, with new flavors brought every day

Review 19:- some of staff speak very fast english & sound of country english

Review 20:- Location near keleti railway & big bus sightseeing point - room was spacious - staff very helpful - price is fair enough

Review 21:very small room with the "aroma" of cigarettes in the air. We were "welcomed" by receptionist who was sure we are trying to hide someone in our room (our friends helped us out with the luggage). Btw, hiding anyone in the room is impossible ;) - there's no space even to put the belongings. We had the window on.. a wall. There's a TV in the room but the only channel you can watch in English is.. BBC news. The hotel is 4 stars rated but forget about water for guests (unless you buy it). No space and no hooks in the bathroom makes you put your things on the floor.. not nice.

Review 22:Location - if someone is travelling by the train :)

Review 23:Nothing at all: the owner of the hotel doesn't know what it is the concept of "boutique". The room, eas so poor: there is not a main light in the room, the courtains was broken and the shower also. The breakfast was so horrible.....

Review 24:Nothing at all: I'll never come back to this hotel and I'll necer recommend it

Review 25:Beds are too narrow if you take a two single beds option. You can't sleep comfortable if you can not move.

Review 26:Bathrooms are comfortable and modern. The location is quite alright if you're willing to commute to the centre. Breakfast are decent but not very diverse.

Review 27:Nothing really

Review 28:The location was great as I needed an early start on an international train from Keleti Station. There's also a good metro station for other parts of Budapest.

Review 29:This was one of those places that just felt overrated on Booking -- not in an interesting location, with tight-fisted, unaccomodating staff, and just a motel sort of feel, despite the splashy new facade.

Review 30:Very bad hotel, horrible staff, room looked like a € 25 hostel room. They turned off the ac to save costs! We were there the beginning of September-24 degrees. Room was very hot and stuffy, they refused to turn back onthe ac- 4* hotel, paid 110€ per night! Rooms at the front side face alot of noise, directly on the street with a lot of drunks, addicts andtraffic. You can not open a window due to this noise and all the peoplewho are smoking in front of your room. After 2 minutes the room smelledlike a bar, how disgusting is this! We could not sleep due to it was toohot and all the noise from outside. Mattresses are 70x180 too small andthe linnen squakes if you turn, such bad quality. Room 108 had at leasta decent bathroom which was clean. Next day got another room 410, nostreet noise, but half the size of the other room, no chair, no table, the bathroom door and shower door could not be opened together, thatsmall of a bathroom, no bath, ventilation system did not work in both ofthe rooms. The walls were covered with big stains, so were the curtainsand carpet. Fungus, dirt and hairs in the shower. The room was so smallwe could not even pass each other! No English channels on the tv, wifiwas not good enough to Skype, no ac, could also not open the windowbecause 410 faces a courtyard where people are smoking all the time!Complained and complained, nothing was done! No manager on side andalways only 1 receptionist who was too busy, incapable and rude. In theend the manager stopped by, he was so arrogant and extremely impolite,he would be the person who decides when the ac would be turned on/oroff and refused to see room 410. He got very angry when I told him Itook pictures and contacted Booking.com. Avoid this overrated hotel, itis nothing more than 2* or it is of a hostel quality, there is noservice, very poor rooms, location is scary with all the drunks andaddicts right in front of your hotel and street. No ac, bad beds and 0facilities.

Review 31:Close to Metro station

Review 32:Loved it. Couldn't have asked for more. Fantastic staff. Great location, close to metro and the tourist bus. Close to fast food and the main train station.

Review 33:Had to hold the shower with your hand, would have preferred a fixed shower.

Review 34:Nice, modern and clean hotel. Fairly simple, everything you need and great value for money.

Review 35:After driving to Budapest from the U.K, we had reserved a parking place in the car park. When the hotel staff opened the door to Car Park, a local drunk jumped on the front of the car!! The hotel staff did nothing and the Management did nothing as this was a meeting place for the local drunks throughout our stay!!

Review 36:Location

Review 37:Toilet ran continuously. Needed to jiggle flusher to make it stop eventually. We reported it and the porter just demonstrated what we were already doing. It was never fixed.

Review 38:Comfortable room, great breakfast, close to Keleti Rail station. A breakfast was packed when we needed to leave early. Very friendly, helpful staff

Review 39:On arrival at midnight (as prior advised) desk was not very welcoming. Charge of €2/night for kettle but no thought to ask if we needed cups.... Arrived in at 10am for breakfast. as slept in due to hectic previous day. Wasn't even allowed to get coffee ( understand that food had been cleared.. but no coffee given that it was in a machine?)

Review 40:Day staff on desk most helpful and friendly

Review 41:I rang the hotel a day before and told them that I was allergic to eggs and they reassured me that there will be enough information about ingredients on breakfast. But in fact there was non. The staff was rushing around here and there and I struggled to get enough information to have a breakfast confidently. On the first day there was a long queue for the breakfast which was annoying

Review 42:Nice and comfy hotel. Very clean.

Review 43:No tea and coffee facilities inside the room. The electronic key card was at times slow to register.

Review 44:A Good Breakfast. Close to the railway station. Comfortable room.

Review 45:Would be nice if the cafe on the ground floor sold more kinds of snacks.

Review 46:The hotel is comfortable, clean, the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The hotel is not in the city center, but very close: I walked to the historical center and it took me maybe 30 minutes, but you can also take the metro, a metro station is just around the corner. There is a supermarket just across the hotel, which is very convenient. A railway station is very close - 5 minutes walking. Breakfasts were good and included both hot and cold dishes.

Review 47:Limited bar area, dining room was very crowded one morning for breakfast so had to wait for about 10 mins for a table to become free. The first hotel I've ever stayed in where my nightie wasn't folded when the bed was made (all 3 nights)

Review 48:Room was clean. Reception staff were helpful.

Review 49:I really don't know why this is a 4 star hotel. The experience is really bad, you had to wait to find an empty table for the breakfast because of the small place. There was no shower gel in the bathroom, just some soap. No shoe cleaner, no sew kit, no gel. There are plenty of good hotels in Budapest to choose from but this is not one of them. Furthermore, the price was advertised as 60% discount, which means that the room is more expensive that we have paid.

Review 50:wifi signal not so good in all the rooms, but works just fine in the reception area.

Review 51:We stay here for the second time and will come back the next time we are in Budapest :-) I was very pleased with the quality per money spent (we booked 1/2 months in advance and got a good offer) -nice clean rooms, helpful staff, breakfast had a good variety of foods

Review 52:Men staff were kind, but women staff were not professional and kind without smile. When I asked to borrow spoon because I didn't have it to use inside room for breakfast, they, not only dining staff but also front desk staff, rejected my hope impolitely. Therefore, my children could not eat yogurt in the morning.

Review 53:It was good location near station. It was easy to find and there are many stores like fast food shops and supermarket, so it was convenient.

Review 54:i think the only "bad" thing i can say about it it's also about the location (the neighborhood was a little bit disappointing (old buildings, not in good shape). Overall, there is to many good points to really have a problem with this.

Review 55:perfect location for those who travel by train everything works, check in and check out very fast, very good breakfast (included), very good price for 4 stars. Excellent & free wifi. 2 supermarkets and many fast-food and restaurant in the area. The hotel is located at 100 m from Keleti train station and near the subway station. You can easily go from there to any touristic location (even walking, like us).

Review 56:Staff, mostly breakfast hostesses were constantly occupied with their phones, watching movies while "working". They seemed rude and uninterested too. Lack of cleanliness and old, broken furniture throughout the entire property. Walls are dirty, curtains are broken. Courtyard view is awful.

Review 57:There's nothing in particular that we liked, everything was either just OK or we could put up with most features given the price.

Review 58:WiFi was poor and the hotel is a good 20 minute walk to the centre. However taxis are cheap approx £5.

Review 59:Nice hotel with friendly staff. Clean hotel right opposite the metro station. Journeys cost 80p to the centre and are frequent.

Review 60:The hotel is ideally situated for Keleti Railway Station where you can catch the Metro into the centre of Budapest. There are also bus and tram links on the doorstep. The breakfast is self service and offers a wide choice to cater to everyone's tastes. All staff are very friendly and polite.

Review 61:We all thought the temperature was too high throughout the hotel. This was the only negative.

Review 62:Very helpful staff and comfortable beds. Great location for the various transport and restaurant we wanted to go to.

Review 63:- shower cabin was not cleaned properly when we got there, - new towels are needed (we got some with stains), - every morning there was really loud movement outside of the room, loud enough to wake us up each time; I suspect it was the staff, since our room was the last one on the corridor, so there was no reason for guests to walk by

Review 64:- really close to train station, - good selection for breakfast, - friendly staff, - good wifi

Review 65:Unfortunately room was close to housekeepers cupboard so a little noisy early in the morning

Review 66:Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable room. Good choice at buffet breakfast. Location ok, close to station , not right in the centre but easy walk.

Review 67:The temperature in hotel room was a bit high on higher floor, but anyway if you want to use air condition, its working for you there.

Review 68:I can only recommend this hotel for everybody. Who want to have very nice hotel for really good price in city center just few steps from train station. It was a really nice trip to Buda during the christmas time.

Review 69:Loved the atmosphere as a young couple we wanted somewhere central. Good service as we were picked up and dropped off at the airport for a very good price! Breakfast was lovely too.

Review 70:Uncomfortable bed, and the slowest and busiest elevator I have ever seen.

Review 71:Very close to Keleti railway station, enough modern property. Great value for your money.

Review 72:2nd day after cleaning the room we were left with only I hand towel.on the Sunday morning housekeeping knocked the door at 8:30 ,we were still in bed so asked them to come back.when we returned Sunday evening the room had not been touched. We booked the airport transfers through the hotel as there were 4 of us with luggage and they advertised an S class Merc.We were picked up in that car but the return was in a small Renault with barely enough room to sit in.

Review 73:Excellent location- up the street between soar and KFC- we got lost for a bit when coming out of the Keleti Metro station. Breakfast was good and really set us up for our days out exploring. Bar was good value.

Review 74:Location, this district is dirty and mostly populated with gipsys. Small room and even smaller bed, uncomfortable mattress.

Review 75:Location, close to main bus and metro lines. Breakfast was nice. Good staff.

Review 76:- poor breakfast - i was not able to take my morning coffee and drink it in my room !? - on my arrival, they had my visa card information from the booking, but i was asked to pay in advance - bathroom was with glass, and you can watch when someone is taking a shower, weird.

Review 77:- good location

Review 78:A little far from the inner city attractions but otherwise it was perfect.

Review 79:Across the road from the station. Brand new and clean. Great breakfast. Cheap price for such a nice place.

Review 80:It may be helpful for hotel to suggest places for evening meals - I knew there was a nice Italian across the road as I'd been there before but there appear to only be KFC or burger/pizza on offer. Not suitable for everyone and if you arrive late in the day you don't have time to look around. Spar on the corner is very well stocked. Bit noisy at night - all night! - but I would expect that from an area by main station in any town/city and only disturbs if you have to have the window open all night, like I do! Still a fab hotel in a good location.

Review 81:I like the location as Metro right next door, plus new Metro line 4 since I was last in Budapest. Lovely clean hotel with excellent staff, all of whom speak good English. Forgot our travel adaptor and borrowed one from reception. Stayed here before, this was 2nd time and will come again! Great location, especially if you want to visit the Szeychani spa.

Review 82:The twin bed is too small, and not very comfortable. Being right next to the train station, the area is not so welcoming, but no problem.

Review 83:Friendly staff, convenient location, clean room, great breakfast choices. Supermarket and fast food restaurants right next door.

Review 84:On the first visit, arriving late at night, I was relocated to another hotel for "technical reasons". They claimed to have tried to contact me, but no such message was ever discovered. There was nothing wrong with the hotel I was sent to, but the additional travel time cut into what was already a short night's sleep. I was not pleased!

Review 85:I was actually booked in this hotel twice in a few days - once on my way to Romania, once on the way back. On the first visit they relocated me to another hotel a couple of miles away for "technical reasons" - see below. On the second visit they accommodated me and I have no complaints about the service on that occasion. The location could hardly be better situated for Keleti railway station, where most international trains arrive and depart. Although you do need a map to find the right turning! Also very handy for the Metro.

Review 86:No water boiler...you have to pay and rent it :(

Review 87:1. Good location, close to one of major train station, metro station and local bus station 2. Fast check-in and check-out

Review 88:I don't like carpet in hotel rooms... Soap dispenser in the shower was empty...

Review 89:Good location just a few steps from the railway station. They prepared a breakfast bag as we left the hotel at 6h30 already - just great!! The reserved a concert as we presented the flyer at the reception. Friednly staff.

Review 90:We had a good think about what we did not like and neither of us could come up with anything that spoiled our holiday at all.

Review 91:We found the closeness to the train station and the metro line a big benefit, More information at reception about these facilities and how use them would have been good for us. A sheet given out at CHECK IN with a underground metro map and being informed that the entrance to the metro is only a few hundred yards away would have been a big help to us. We found our contact with the staff very good as they wanted to help us and were very polite.

Review 92:When I arrived at the hotel they were full and they kicked me out to another hotel. This happens alot from reading other peoples comments, avoid this hotel at all costs.

Review 93:The only downside was that one lift was out of order and as I was on the 6th floor it meant hanging around a lot at busy times of the day.

Review 94:The room was comfortable, breakfast was good, the staff were friendly and helpful. The wifi provision was excellent.

Review 95:Hotel located on side street opposite train station n at times don't feel very safe as there r lots of guys just hanging around the street.

Review 96:Modern n clean

Review 97:In a triple room-only 2 normal beds, the 3rd one -sofa bed(not comfortable at all!)

Review 98:Great location, wonderful breakfast, very polite and helpful staff, great parking!

Review 99:Silly corner of cupboard to hit your head on .Cleaning equip left in hall all the time.

Review 100:Ease of acess from station for train anmetro.Excellentbreakfast.Helpfull staff

Review 101:Nothing.

Review 102:Very helpful staff, kept in contact with me when my arrival time kept on blowing out.Showed me shorter routes than google maps. Good breakfast. Nice modern room.

Review 103:One evening there was no hot water + fire alarm went on the first night we were there

Review 104:Location: 5 min away from Keleti railway station. Breakfast: good

Review 105:power automatically off in room when not there (so can't leave something charging)

Review 106:Clean, simple but fully equipped rooms. Ample breakfast buffet pleasant, helpful staff

Review 107:too far away from all tourist attractions, located in a street full of garbage, not many good restaurants around, noisy if windows are open, only one elevator is working

Review 108:breakfast, fast wifi, price, staff, close to the central train station, good A/C

Review 109:Staff does not welcome its guests as it should.

Review 110:Breakfast ok, clean room.

Review 111:Nothing

Review 112:Location,breakfast,cleanliness

Review 113:I think for the price Breakfast should be included...

Review 114:Hotel was really good great location and staff was super helpful

Review 115:Had a noisy hotel guest one night.

Review 116:Central location.

Review 117:Good quality breakfast with lots of choice

Review 118:Beautiful hotel, Fast WI-FI

Review 119:Low price

Review 120:Receptionist not kind, always poker face.

Review 121:Location near Keleti train Station

Review 122:Rooms are very samll with limited hotel services.

Review 123:atmosphere of around the hotel, rude and impolite waitress at brakfast room

Review 124:Close to celeti rail station, clean room and bathroom

Review 125:easy access to public transport and supermarkets, nice breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, free wifi

Review 126:Drunks always outside hotel

Review 127:the location - opposite Keleti train station. the room is basic and comfortable.

Review 128:Great location, you can walk to metro and Keleti station less than 5 minutes.

Review 129:It was all good!

Review 130:Located in a not so nice road. Do not be put off by this.

Review 131:Very clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff.
