Review 1：There were some serious issues about cleanliness and huge spiders were absolutely everywhere! Loads of bugs in the room too and the lifts didn't work properly.

Review 2：The staff was nice and got our problems solved quickly. The vaule for money was quite acceptable and the beach was close too. Could be ideal for family with small children.

Review 9：1. The hotel charged me differently from what booking.com advertised. Booking.com states that 18% VAT and Euro 1.60 city tax are included. Ramada hotel charged me 18% VAT extra and the city tax. Unfortunately, my wife was the one who checked us out and I didn't notice the charge until we got home. I am now disputing the charge and no one from Ramada is calling me back. I will now have to travel back there at the end of the week to dispute this charge personally. Booking.com usually has a statement that states, "The total price shown is the amount you will pay the property." This was not the case as Ramada tried to sneak in additional amounts to the bill. This is the second time an incident of overcharge happened to me at this hotel. The last time, they charged me extra for the dinner, when dinner (half board) was included in the rate. Luckily, I disputed that charge before I left the hotel. I cannot and will not trust these people anymore, if I ever go back to this hotel again. So beware! They will sneak in as much charges as they can to hopefully get away with it. 2. Internet was slow. It was horrible. I could not download a simple page... and once it downloads, it disconnects.

Review 10：The hotel is walking distance from the beach, but still about a 5 minute walk crossing a bridge to get to a park area. The hotel has a beach location for the guest but it's not physically connected to the hotel. You can use your room key to enter the area or pay.

Review 11：The hotel room was not clean. The bathroom is out of date, the shower is terrible, the carpets have nasty spots on them and everything was dusty. Babies without diapers were allowed in the hot tub!!!

Review 13：Advertised as a beach resort but you need to walk over the railway bridge and down the walk way to the beach area. The beach area is a shared area and you need to pay for chairs.

Review 14：Western Europeans tourists, forget about your standards. This is supposed to be a 4* hotel, i think 2 of them sank in the lake. No early check-in, late check-out charged, room service unreachable by phone (+10 attempts), staff is not evenly trained...

Review 16：This is a very tired hotel, It was built many years ago and nothing has been up-dated. We were forced to stay for one day. Of all the hotels you have booked for me, this is the poorest.

On the morning of our departure two members of the staff turned up at 8.30 to check on the mini bar. Facilities around the swimming pool are outdated, poor . They did not offer decaf coffee at breakfast.

Review 19：The room is really spacious and its view is magnificent, and the bathroom looked nicely redone. The private beach is excellent. The WiFi was very good. It was easy to find a parking lot.

Review 20：Need renovation. Very bad service in bar. When I booked room, then parking was included in room rate, later when I cheked invoice - parking was included separatelly and some strange service fees were included. Definatelly check invoice when cheking out!

Review 22：1. Wifi was horrible. I kept being disconnected. Once connected, it was so slow. I sometimes had to sit next to the front door to get connected. Hotel needs to add more repeaters to boost signal. They also should change their internet provider to get faster speed. 2. The bed was horrible. I could feel the springs on the mattress. 3. Since my room was located next to the elevator, I could hear everyone talking at the lobby. It's not sound proof at all. Stuffing towels under the door helped reduce the noise. 4. Ants in the bathroom. Not sure where they were coming from. 5. Shower water pressure was low.

Review 23：1. The hotel is located in a nice area of Balaton. They have a secluded private beach area that seemed safe. 2. The hotel food was excellent. Breakfast and dinner was great. 3. The pool was pretty good too but water was cold. 4. Live band on the ground floor bar a nights. 5. Massage was available.

Review 24：The staff @ the reception is not prepared for the number of the people @checking/out time. The hotel is old decorated and dirty. One day the cleaning woman forgot our room to clean. dust everywhere - we had a junior suite. It is a 3 star hotel, not a 4. If the bartender girl had no lactose intolerance i couldnt got milk to my coffe. So thanks for her.

Review 30：The lake was about 200 meters from the hotel and you have to cross a pedestrian bridge from the hotel. You couldn't swim in the area of the lake. There were too many algae floating around and didn't seem swimmable. There were 4 elevators, 2 were small to fit only 4 people. So if you have a lot of luggages you have to wait for the big elevator. The wifi was kind of slow but you could still use it and it sometimes cut off.

Review 31：The suite that we had was excellent, the buffet dinner and breakfast was great! The buffet dinner had pasta, kabob, beef steak, rice, soup, and etc.. The breakfast had scramble eggs, bacon, pancakes, and different sausages! Overall the food was excellent. Room service is also available to anyone! We ordered some food, and it came in about 15 minutes in a fancy tray. The pool had a 25 meter length, there was a hot tub/jacuzzi, and they offered massage service. The view from a high floor was excellent, over-looking the lake. The lounge in the lobby had a live band!

Review 43：This is definitely not a 4-stars hotel. The building has not been renovated for the past 10 years, furniture was old and overused. Room was dirty and during our one week's stay it has not been cleaned at all. Uncomfortable double bed. Common areas were not clean either. Windows were so dirty, it seems they have not been cleaned in this season. Meals in breakfast and dinner buffet were basically the same every day. Leftover food reheated and served the next day. Swimming pool was dirty, full with algae and shallow, first day we did not get towels and robe. Massage and other optional facilities were unreasonably expensive.

Review 44：Location is great, the city and the northern part of Balaton area is just beautiful. Even if it rains there are many things to see and everything can be reached within an hour's drive. The hotel has its own beach that is also nice.

Review 45：I think that paying for the usage of sunbath chairs "with discount for hotel guests" in the private beach area was an absurd. The jacuzzi is too small, and the swimming pool too cold. The shower curtain was disgustingly dirty!!!!!!!! This was unacceptable for me, cleanliness is a must!

Review 46：They have a private beach to the lake which is nice, clean and provides nice options like paddle boats (to rent) etc. The hotel itself is nice, great location, the wellness area is very good, swimming pool, nice sauna. The room had a breathtaking view from the lake. Nice the fact that, although you check out at 15:00, you can still use the beach during the rest of that day. Breakfast was good too.

Throughout our stay there were long black hairs on the bathroom floor, despite several requests to have the area cleaned. The carpet felt dusty under foot and the bed also has a number of long black hair just under the sheet benieth the pillow. The mini bar was never restocked. The wifi didnt seem to reach our room and was patchy at best. There was a konference at the hotel for two mof the days we were there, therefore the other guest were relocoted at meal times to the bar. The food quality and service was sub standard compared to the main restaurant.

Review 115：On the website of Booking.com was written that a child onto 14 years is free of charge (when you make use of the present beds). We had discussions, all of a sudden the child should be younger than 11. The rooms weren't clean, the bathroom wasn't cleaned up once during our 3 nights stay. Breakfast: bad and tough bread, rotten fruit every day again... There were not enough elevators for a hotel of this size.

Balatonalmadi is a smallplace and they certainly should know that the bank is not open onSaturday. There was also a conference there on Saturday so the hotel wascrownded. We could not have dinner a la card. The explanation was - wehave a problem!!! They charge bathrobes as well! Ramada Balaton -nevermore!

Review 123：I was there during a conference and it was too busy. Queue forbreakfast. Chatty people in the wellness centre. Sauna always full. Gymis not well equipped and they rent it to outsiders so guests sort of get"pushed aside" by the locals. Only pork at breakfast. I dont eat pork sowas stuck for choice. Have to pay to watch english channels on tv. Roomcleaning was not very good. Just emptied bins. Did not make the beds orvacuum room in 4 days I stayed there. Could hear the trains in themornings. Could not control the temperature in the room so was very hot.
