Review 1：No negatives. Everything was wonderful for our family.

Review 2：Hotel Butterfly is a 3-star hotel with a 5-star heart. We brought all our kids and grandchildren (18 of us with children from 15 down to 5) to Zermatt for Christmas and Hotel Butterfly was our wonderful 'headquarters' for the most glorious Christmas week. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and did everything possible to make out stay memorable. The hotel is very cozy and the rooms were comfortable. Our breakfasts and dinners were excellent and the dinning and lounge staff were wonderful with the children. The Hotel Butterfly is located a short walk from the train station and very convenient for dining, shopping, strolling and getting to ski lifts. We ate at many restaurants about town and they were all within an easy walk. Don't miss the Matterhorn Museun - it's really good. I/we just can't say enough good things about Hotel Butterfly. We had the trip of a lifetime (and the kids are already trying to figure out how to have an encore for next year). Thanks hotel Butterfly - Wed love to make it again next christmas.

Review 12：We loved everything about our stay! The rooms were spacious and very clean. The location was perfect, close to everything but tucked away on a quiet side street. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff were all warm and welcoming and extremely helpful. Franco the bartender was fabulous, he was gracious and entertaining, charming us with local stories and even cracking walnuts for us to go with our local wine. We would definitely return!

Review 27：Situated on the Western side of Zermatt, (no direct view of the Matterhorn) the Butterfly is situated about two minutes from the Zermatt Rail road station and the main tourist shopping area. We were located in a well presented room on the 4th floor with its own private veranda (as are most rooms at the hotel). The room was very spacious with all the usual expected facilities including Coffee/tea facilities. The double bed was very comfortable while the bathroom area was very clean, tidy and spacious. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast on the ground floor which was extensive and well stocked. We found the hotel staff to be courteous, friendly and very helpful. Overall we found our stay at the Butterfly very good to excellent. 4 out 5

Review 81：Should the front desk of the hotel have been more helpful, the hotel would be almost perfect. Yes, when we asked, she replied. But, it was too short a reply; not enough to help us made our decision. However; it did not spoil our day as we can get our information from the Tourist Information at the Zermatt train station.

The hotel is not new, but it has all the facilities and amenities as it is expected. Rooms we booked are nest to one another and have a small balcony. The bed, mattress are comfortable.

Review 96：The maintenance of the elevator. We came home from dinner to our 4th floor room. I prefer stairs and as we came up we heard banging. A couple was stuck in the elevator. We went for help and as my husband went down to reception the lady stuck inside told me that they pushed the emergency button but nothing happened. It's a 3x3 ft space. The girl at the desk had to phone someone and she returned with some keys but did not know what to do with them. My husband had to get them out with the keys and the couple was very grateful. The next morning I met the lady who was stuck in the elevator with her husband. She said she got no apology and no offer of any discounts for their extremely stressful event. Thankfully they were not claustrophobic. I would not recommend this hotel.

Review 99：It was a great value for money hotel. In short this hotel is everything that anyone can ask for in terms of budget travelling although the facilities is as good as a top star hotel. One of the only hotel that even provided Tea coffee making facilities in the room as i was surprised that even some top 4 star deluxe hotels in Zermatt didn't provide this. The staff were extremely friendly and always ready to assist.

Review 100：Hotel staff not consistently friendly and helpful. I realize language may be an issue but at least smile and make eye contact when people approach the desk. Look up from your paperwork and look interested in your customers.
