Review 1：On our way back to the UK we booked this hotel as a last minute choice in the morning of the day we were due to travel. As such we had a very good deal on the price. This seaside town was chosen as an alternative to staying in Dunkirk for the ferry crossing back to the UK. It was pot luck based on its price and the towns location. (We find Dunkirk itself to be a noisy place for overnight stays). The hotel is a modern hotel, nice and clean and adequetly sized rooms. Lift access to all the floors. The bathroom is compact and clean though being on the 8th floor it took ages for the hot water to arrive at the shower. There seems to be no reception staff at night and access is by the use of your key card. The hotel is 10 metres from the promenade, which is well kept and clean, a short morning stroll soon cleared the cobwebs. We arrived too late to use their restaurant (though it may not have been open in the evening out of season), but there are plenty of other restaurants in the town itself only a short walk away. The breakfast has to be one of the best I have ever had on the continent. With at least 6 different kinds of bread alone and a hot bacon and scambled egg selection, with plenty of fresh friut, yogurts, cereals etc.

Review 12：The view from our room was horrible, from the window we can see only the walls from other buildings. We found one empty bottle of water and one chip under our bed, after showing to the service woman, nothing changed for few days. The wi-fi connection was very low quality. The television has only two channels in French. The hotel has no parking!!!

Review 36：3 of our 4 rooms were fine, one was the single overlooking the outside metal staircase,dark etc. and not good. the breakfast was fine but the duty manager closed the lounge earlier than the bedroom brochure said it should be closed and was quite rude when challenged. this hotel is fine for an overnight stay but that is all as it doesn't really cater for longer stays

Review 42：This was a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Based on previous reviews, I had asked for the top floor which we had. The breakfast was excellent, the rooms a bit small but adequate for a few days and very clean. The shower was powerful enough even though we were on the 9 th floor. The tram stop is right outside allowing easy access all the way from De Panne to Knokke Heist. We went into Ostend twice and didn't have to wait more than 8 minutes for the tram. There is free parking very close by

Review 59：This isn't a complaint, but a heads up to future travellers. The roomslisted as 'courtyard' view look out onto the inside of the building,which is pretty ugly. I reserved a very inexpensive last minute room andspeak Dutch so I knew that the room would not have a terrace and that itwould be very small. I stayed in room 43 and just like I expected, theroom was tiny and the fire escape was attached to my window. That said,I am not complaining at all because I got what I paid for. I have hadfriends there who had the dune view and they said that the room waslarge. I would still highly recommend this hotel! I will definitely staythere again, but next time I'll plan my trip early so that I can have anicer room.
Review 60：The hotel is dog friendly. My dog is 40 kilos and he was even allowed inthe restaurant with me. The staff was friendly, the breakfast excellent,the location couldn't be better and the room very clean. I wouldrecommend this hotel to friends and will definitely stay there again.
Review 61：The staff did not provide any details of the local area, nor what thehotel had to offer. The bathroom was so small that if you sat on thetoilet you could wash your hands at the same time. No iron avaiable forguest. The weather turned for the worst, we decided to check out earlyand was charged 50 euro by the manager. The hotel staff were not veryfriendly and would not explain the reason for the additional charge,onlythat its with in the cancellation policy. I had the cancellation policyand it did not stipulate any early cancellation fees. We paid it andleft, and will never return. Worst Hotel I have every stayed at inEurope in 10 years, "beware"
