Reviews for Furama Resort Danang

Review 1:Free shuttle bus to Hoian is also nice, I hope we could use the service in the early evening to enjoy the Hoian lights in the dark. To add a bad point of view, except the quite expensive restaurants in the resort, not many choices near resort area.

Review 2:Nice view, clean room condition, kind staffs. Feels like a heaven, beautiful beach, pool, perfect weather in January. Totally want to come and visit again with my family

Review 3:The hotel is nice but has seen better days. The rooms and facilities (gym, spa) are a bit run down and could do with a makeover. The Vietnamese food was excellent but the Western food was under par for a 5 star resort. I would also recommend that the manager add more staff (wait and cooks) to the Ocean Terrace Restaurant; drinks were taking about 15 minutes and food was taking about 30 to 45 minutes to arrive to the table. I would also recommend to the hotel to review their late check out policies as most 5 star hotels don't charge for late check out especially when you are in a studio suite.

Review 4:Friendly and accommodating staff Nice tour services Clean common areas and rooms

Review 5:A lovely room with super house keeping services. However the hotel food etc is over priced and doesn't reflect prices expected in Vietnam so meant we often left the hotel to eat. The breakfast was fantastic! Overall a great stay at Furama.

Review 6:Nothing

Review 7:Good facilities for kids- nice kids club and enjoyed play area by the beach. Very spacious and comfortable rooms. Good breakfast spread. Friendly and pleasant staff

Review 8:Cleanliness of Villa not great. Robes were dusty too. The third bedrooms on attic is quite dusty too. Bathrooms design is modern but not functional. After every showers, the whole bathroom is "flooded" and wet and slippery. Similar breakfast selection everyday. Complimentary high tea was a total disappointment, poor quality and selection.

Review 9:Villa is really good idea for family and location of hotel is great with good restaurants, massage spa, and basic shopping nearby. Staff generally attentive, responsive, and helpful.

Review 10:Although I was concerned about the bedding configuration of the room we booked, the resort was able to give us a room with a large king sized bed which fitted all 3 of us comfortably. The service from porter to housekeeping were attentive, efficient and friendly. My daughter had some fond memories of playing in the kids club which allowed us some quiet alone time. The beach was clean and the swimming pools were also well attended by lifeguards. We only did breakfast at the indochine cafe but it was a good spread with abundant choices. The free shuttle into the city and Hoi An was very convenient when our tour ended and we extended on our own.

Review 11:Staff is very helpful, friendly, warm and welcoming from time we arrived til we left. The studio ocean front view room with balcony is well worth the extra $$$. The hotel staff is what made our first stay at the Furama, Danang most special. Thank you to all the hotel staff for doing your job with great respect, pride and grace :-) We look forward to our next visit back at the Furama.

Review 12:At our arrival the overflowing pool was in total renovation, what a disappointment! ... This was not mentioned on the website and we choose the hotel for this nice pool! ... Also a lot of noice of this pool renovation with stone carving, even when seated on the beach loung chairs... Not nice at all when you want to relax. Hotel should definitely close to do this kind of renovation works because hotel guest pay Furama to unwind and relax!!! The hotel Restaurants are clearly overpriced!! The Spa is also overpriced for Asia!

Review 13:Spacious rooms, beautiful lagoon pool surrounded by very nice trees, quiet , choice of 3 restaurants , very helpful concierge, good explanations from the trip organisers at the hotel. Thank you to the life guard for helping our son who couldn't come back with the strong current in the sea. I got a nice Decléor facial and Masage at the Spa.

Review 14:The ocean view poor was under construction... They could have mentioned it on their website or on booking.com.

Review 15:Staff was very nice. they let us change our room as we wanted twin bed instead of double, even after we have checked in to our room already.

Review 16:Renovation work.

Review 17:Friendly staff, spacious villas and great facilities. Good kids club. Breakfast excellent - good variety and lovely freshly baked bread. Fan restaurant pricey but good quality delicious steak. Free shuttle bus to Hoi An.

Review 18:The process to acknowledge the payment in booking is not convenient. I was asked to show exact card that i used for booking. Otherwise ihave to repay bythe new one, eventhough they credit the old one later

Review 19:The landscape of the resort is good

Review 20:Don't have enough money change. Front desk staff not helpful and.no one played water sport. Too quite and No holiday mood. Staff Cannot recommend or arrange any day tours.

Review 21:Close to beach.

Review 22:* The resort is dated and has not aged well* Beach towels have to be checked out on a form (a bit strange for a 5 star resort)* Pool towels have to stay in the pool area* Beach and pool towels are ragged and old* Guest services is sub-par. It's as if other resorts hired away all of the people with good hospitality skills** There are a number of great staff members but also too many that are not trained in hotel hospitality* I received a random phone call in the middle of the night from what sounded like the front desk - this did not help** Anecdotally - staff members who are chatting in a group and get in your way during breakfast, shout "Room Service" in a loud and angry tone, front-desk and guest relations staff members who do not speak english, rarely anyone is available to hail taxis at the door, no one greets you at the door or takes your luggage* We initially checked into a "garden-view" room that had mosquitoes flying around and ants crawling. The a/c vent was in bad shape (dusty and dark mold). It was also really dark.* We spoke with the Guest Relations Manager (Anna) to see if we could check out and get a refund* They were very much against refunding us so instead they upgraded us to an Ocean-view Suite.* The Ocean-view Suite was much nicer and cleaner* I still did want to leave and go to another 5-star hotel given we wanted to cap off our 2 week trip with an amazing experience but the managers would not refund us* The GM (Matthias) and Guest Relations Manager (Anna) did offer us dinner for 2 + wine at the Fan steakhouse. This was a very nice gesture and did help us enjoy the resort moreSummary:The resort is one of the few that has easy access to the beautiful Da Nang beaches. However, the resort is dated (currently being renovated in some areas) and the staff and level of service is not the best that Vietnam has to offer.

Review 23:* The hotel opens onto a huge and beautiful stretch of beach in Da Nang * The beach is one of the more amazing beaches in the world * White, fine sand and warm water * The 2 infinity pools are very nice * There are only a few resorts in Da Nang that are directly on the beach and this is one

Review 24:Staff are not properly trained. Expected more professionalism.

Review 25:the location was fantastic. It is one of the first few resorts located on the long strip of resorts. Close to city. Stayed in the 3 bedroom sapphire villa. It was massive.

Review 26:The Staff all seemed unhappy. For the price they charge, they shouldprofit share more so everyone is more happy to work there. You want tofeel great about spending that much money. Also there were a lot of veryloud Chinese tourists there when we visited. We would have preferredsome more intimate space and service for the price.

Review 27:Amazing location and facilities. This is paradise. The villas are beyondincredible.

Review 28:- You have to prepay when you book (we were debited 6 months in advance) - Internal procedures anti fraud are very strong (from 600 deposit requested at checkin to pool towels strong management)

Review 29:Perfect location by the sea with 2 wonderful swimming pools Facility is really 5 stars (rooms, silence, views, restaurants) Fantastic breakfast buffet Very good Italian restaurant, at a European price but very tasty

Review 30:This was a soulless place with exorbitant prices. We had been looking forward to our stay & walked away so disappointed. For a 5 star establishment, interaction with staff was disappointing with very few speaking English well enough to be able to communicate. The prices for everything were exorbitant which when combined with very poor quality food is just price gouging. My husband & I ended up with food poisoning which we strongly suspect from the curries we ate from room service. The pool was freezing. Most of the staff looked unhappy all of the time. The suite (small size) did not have a bath which was very inconvenient for us with a young daughter. We had advised days earlier that we were checking out at 4.30am & effectively woke the front office person (although he had sent someone for our bags). He then had to compile our bill rather than this being organised & ready to go. He was dead on his feet & it just summed up our overall experience there - tired, unhappy staff, almost bordering on incompetence, nothing quite right, slow & memorable experience because it was so poor. This was a horrible end to our holiday

Review 31:Kids club was ok but teachers seemed more intent on talking to each other than interacting with the kids. We used this facility as we were both sick (from the food poisoning we suspect from the food quality here).

Review 32:The hotel staff were extrmely friendly and helpful. The pool was great and the pool area was well looked after. The food was very good and good value. Very comfortable hotel.

Review 33:The hotel refused to allow us to check out a bit later without extra charge, yet another family that we met at the resort were granted late check out (3pm) without any extra charge. Consistency and fairness was not practiced.

Review 34:The villas are amazing. The accessibility to a private beach!

Review 35:Leaving :( The hotel gift shops - they just didn't have what I was after.

Review 36:The staff were great: the pick up guy from airport was relaxed, experienced and talked about DaNang on route to hotel. Welcome is calm and refreshing - towels/drinks. Intro to hotel was very thorough and relaxed. cleaners excellent, room service attentive, spa people lovely, pool life savers also very attentive and good natured, especially with the kids. Breakfast is a feast and is very relaxed. Where else to spend time than in the swimming pools - the infinity looking out to sea or in the tropical forest around the lagoon pool. There was shade if you wanted it, enough loungers to go around. Wifi everywhere - room, restaurants, pools.

Review 37:Beautiful resort with nice garden, clean beach and swimming pools. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Helpful staff. Restaurants and bars offer wide range of food and drinks both local and international. It takes 5 minutes by taxi to get to the center of DaNang .

Review 38:Second stay here and its still wonderful to be here. Great staff, beautiful big rooms, lovely beach, relaxing pools, good breakfast buffet, perfect restaurants,...everything is here to have a perfect holiday.

Review 39:Water pressure was a little weak, but it's okay to take a shower.

Review 40:1. The villa was really comfortable. 2. The breakfast was delicious. 3.The staff (especially Heip and Tien) was very kind and gave us much information for travel. 4. There were several caretakers and guards for safety.

Review 41:Steak house's food is very delicious, but some waiter's English is not very well and explain not very clear, so let us order wrong food, this is very unfortunately. But most of them are very good. If I come to Da nang again, I'll live here .

Review 42:We were very happy can live in here and had very nice vacation. Room is very clean and convertible, swimming pool and beach is very beautiful. The best is kindly service.

Review 43:the meals a la carte are totally overpriced and the cocktails are extremely poor with ingredeants out of plastic bottles :(

Review 44:The included breakfast was excellent

Review 45:Family Room by Balcony is not suitable for families. Resort provided twobasic rooms that did not connect, so we ended up all staying in one roomin one bed. Friends we travelled with paid usd90 more a night and had ahuge villa with private swimming pool. So what I booked did not alignwith what was provided.

Review 46:Poor wifi was a definite frustration.

Review 47:Fab location and very friendly and helpful staff. Easy to get everywhere in Danang and a free shuttle to Hoi An made this a great place to stay. Breakfast was plentiful and the pools/ beach easily accessible and well maintained.

Review 48:the skill of body massage need to upgrade . Be friendly is good. But you have to know what you should say and what you should or should not ask.

Review 49:Staffs very helping. Kind . Beautiful resort . Nice service. Nice food.

Review 50:It's a 5 stars hotel, but not really when you see it. on the pictures everything looks amazing, but not so much in reality, specially if the weather is bad. The hotel is to expensive for what they offer. I didn't like that they don't have anything for kids, except an indoor playing room which oh, also a playground on the beech, but I condider it a bit dangerous for younger kids, up where you go down on the slide has no protection, nothing to prevent the kids to fall down and is quite high. My son is 4 and usually he's climbing everywhere, but still he fell down from that slide, luckily he landed on sand. The indoor room is good if the weather is not nice or even if you want to go to supermarket without the kids. But at the pool, no slide, nothing. And in the main pool they came and said that is not ok for kids to play with a floating ring or any floating toys( which I bought them in the hotel' store so that's even more annoying ). I didn't like the fact that the restaurants are very expensive inside the hotel. For pasta or pizza only for 3 kids we always payed at least 30$ without the drinks, and that's from the kids menu. We had dinner in their stake house restaurant and we payed more than a 100$ (US $) for our family. I don't know about you, but I consider it expensive. When we booked the hotel we had a good discout on booking.com. But honestly if you pay full price you will feel so so sorry, it doesn't worth the money. The hotel is nice, but not nice enough for the money they ask for, this is what I felt beeing there.

Review 51:The location is anazing, close to the city so you can go out for dinner or to go to Lotte mart. The beach is beautifull, the sand is just great, very clean, the sea is nice, just to many waves. The hotel is clean and nice, people are nice as well. What was great, they put fruits everyday in the room, also 2 chocolate candies. That was great, my kids were expecting that moment with a lot of excitement. I would recommend the place for singles or couples, but not that much for families with kids, mine are from 4 to 7. I don't want to give them a bad feedback, people working there are really nice, but I did feel frustrated a couple of times. What was great is that you can see they try to make you feel as comfortable as possible, they are paying attention if you complain or request anything, the staff is amazing.

Review 52:The hotel is now quite old and requires refurbishment. The price is very high for the state of the facilities. Also, I was there at the high season and there was not enough staff to handle the breakfast crowd with table uncleared and buffet food not replenished. Also, lack of international soft beverage choices by the pool and in the restaurants.

Review 53:Lovely location and view of the ocean. Style of interior using wood some authentic Vietnamese inspired finishes is particularly good

Review 54:- The beach playground could use some upkeep, a little bit dangerous for really young kids, definitely need supervision.

Review 55:- Food - Services for kids (playground and playroom) - Staff are extremely friendly from the manager right down to the housekeeping. There was no problem accommodating every request (and there are always little things you need when travelling with young kids - aged 2 and 4) - Location is excellent. Easy walk to a number of restaurants outside, 5 minutes taxi to a big supermarket - Beach is excellent, clean and good quality, no hassles.

Review 56:We did not eat many times in the hotel restaurants, as the prices were very high - when comparing to the restaurants in the city. The only thing we did miss in the great hotel was a "bistro" where you could eat small, and not that expensive meals.

Review 57:This hotel has excellent service, and very friendly staff - so you will not be disappointed. Also, the location, very close to the sea with a beautiful beach is perfect. Breakfast buffé is superb!

Review 58:There was nothing we didn't like about the resort.

Review 59:Friendly staff who made us feel welcome. Professional life guards, private beach, helpful beach staff who clearly enjoy their job. The facilities are great, including pools, games room, library (where we watched the AFL grand final in comfort!), bars and restaurants, poolside service. The breakfast buffet is a must and of very high quality. The pillow menu!

Review 60:Our only real complaint was with the food. We attended the buffet seafood Barbeque which was very expensive and not very fresh or very tasty. The staff were overwhelmed and unable to keep up with the orders. Breakfast was also not very good. It was very crowded and often the various buffet items were empty and the staff seemed unable to keep up with replenishing. The atmosphere was chaotic. We also learned that Vietnamese nationals are given a very deep discount on the room rate so we were unhappy to know we were paying double what others were paying for the same services.

Review 61:The beach was beautiful as was the pool. The ocean front studio room had a fabulous view and a great king sized bed even though the bathroom ceiling leaked during two big rainstorms.

Review 62:-Food is pricey; this is a 5 star resort and prices were comparable to Australian food and drinks -Not a lot to do in Danang area; we had two nights here which was perfect to enjoy the beach/pool and go into Danang at night. But unless you want to spend all day by the pool, you are likely to get bored...

Review 63:-Pool & beach facilities: great view to the ocean and lovely place to spend time. -Staff were all friendly and well trained. -Good breakfast spread (loved the cheese!)

Review 64:Beautiful private beach and my daughter was very enjoy the sea and waves, staffs were very kind and warm. While we staying for 3 night our family love the breakfast, espcially the rice nuddle

Review 65:My wife and I started our honeymoon here and the place was amazing. The staff are VERY friendly and accomodating. Their english can be limited but I dont mind that at all. The rooms were very clean and comfy and staff did a great job cleaning them daily. I would definitely come back here and I recommend it to potential travelers.

Review 66:The location, largest beach, beautiful garden and all the staffs are very friendly and helpful too. Wonderful hotel. I have been in many resorts in Da Nang but this resort is my favorite and will stay here again if I have chance to get back in Da Nang.

Review 67:Service quality very mixed. Some staff very untrained and unresponsive. Others - the concierge for example - were very friendly and attentive. The facilities were a bit faded and had seen better days.

Review 68:Great breakfast and very good location directly on the wonderful Danang beach. However sometimes too crowded in the breakfast restaurant.

Review 69:Only a few details, but the towels at the beach often had a sour smell to them and the busses to Hoi could be set up at night/evening as well.

Review 70:Loved everything, great location, beach, staff, room with sea view was lovely, best breakfast

Review 71:The only problem would be the hvac system and trying to get the room cooler when you are sleeping. One of the rooms would not cool below 22c. The other room was fine.

Review 72:Overall just a great stay and experience. From the moment being greeted in the lobby to checking out just a great feeling of being welcome and being taken care of the whole time we were there. If we get a chance to get back to DaNang we will be staying here again.

Review 73:Lots of western options for dining but we were after the real Vietnamese version. That said all food was excellent.

Review 74:Very good hotel on an excellent beach. Great facilities. Kids loved body surfing and hotel provides boards free of charge.

Review 75:the villa is far from beach

Review 76:the service and hotel up keeping

Review 77:Games room closed too early for teenagers

Review 78:Staff very helpful and friendly

Review 79:service

Review 80:We ordered room service and the kids meals were not good.

Review 81:The villas are beautiful and the staff are very friendly.

Review 82:Don't like the way of staff . No manner

Review 83:The staff at front must have more smile and polite.

Review 84:Take time to catch up the requested

Review 85:Location and the room

Review 86:air conditioner not cool, spent more than an hour to fix it. it worked for only 2 days, then not cool again.

Review 87:nothing

Review 88:location, friendly staff, gardens, pools, room

Review 89:The restaurant is quite expensive. I would have my dinner there if it is cheaper.

Review 90:Comfortable room, great facilities, nice pool and beach!

Review 91:The check - out time is a bit early (at 11pm).

Review 92:Good welcome service and nice beach view from the resort.

Review 93:Excellent garden pool and spa. Rest in the air-conditioned library. Walking distance from famous restaurant.

Review 94:The food around the hotel could be better, but by no means a deal breaker.

Review 95:Great staff, location, room, beach, pool.

Review 96:Recreation staff & waterhouse staff gave us pretty good service with smile. We could enjoy a lot. Millions thanks!
