Review 1：Horrible and unhelpful staff who do everything - including outright lying - to cheat you out of money. When confronted with the evidence, claim they 'misunderstood' - yeah right.

Review 2：Own beach, quiet scenic spot

Review 3：The restaurant had a large menu that looked great but nearly everything we tried to order wasn't available, in the end we had to ask them just to point out what they actually had, very disappointing and for the next 2 nights we walked down to the beach to go eat at other resorts. Awful stench coming out the bathroom every night, tried explaining to reception but since their English is limited I gave up.

Review 4：Location right on the beach was stunning and without the large amount of people on the beaches down south. Hammocks and chill areas spread out around the garden and facing onto the ocean. Grab a beer and just go sit down in the ocean ( it was fairly shallow most of the way out) Grab kayak and go explore the nearby island or get a hire scooter from reception and go cruise the island.

Review 5：When the tide is low, it is hard to really swim, as it is the shallow end of the bay. A 10 minute walk down the beach solves this though. Same goes for the sun, that leaves this part of the bay around 16.

Review 6：It is a very quiet and remote resort. Great to really feel away from everything. The staff is relaxed and helpful, especially the hero that runs the restaurant and bar!

Review 8：If you are searching for a quiet nonn touristic place Mai Phuong resort is perfect for your stay. It was our second time in Mai Phuong and again we had a great time there.

Review 9：We were very far away from the main town, down a very long dirt track. There was no form of transport unless you can rent a motorcycle...we tried we weren't very good!! The taxis cost a fortune and you have to get a taxi everywhere as you can't walk (everywhere is very far away!) the food at the resort is tasty but overpriced as you don't have much choice but to eat there. The resort overcharge you for everything (check all your receipts!) and will offer a driver to take you places but will charge you more than a taxi!! Even though you are on the beach, it is very dirty, covered in rubbish and you can't swim in it which was the reason we chose this resort in the first place. The apartment was not clean and did not smell very nice.

Review 11：Getting in and out to the paved road on the island isn't easy, because of a bad dirt road, so eating anywhere except at the resort isn't very convenient. The food there wasn't bad, but also not spectacular for the price. It doesn't have a swimming beach, but you can walk a mile or so to some nice beaches.

Review 12：This resort is very quiet and remote, so it's good if you want to get far away from everything. You can enjoy the view of the ocean and trees around the bungalows. Also the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Review 13：No hot water or air conditioning. Service was poor and slow. Staff spoke little english. You would order drinks and have to ask 3 times where they were at. The taxi the hotel supplies not clean, windows didnot work and the airconditioner did not work. I would not recommend this to anyone. Very poor customer service.

Review 20：Staff went out of their way to try and help when they could. They are very hard working... Lovely family run atmosphere. Unspoilt location away from the main strip. Lending library. Amazing seafood and lovely breakfast. Coffee out of this world. If you want a quiet place off the literal beaten track then this is it. Day trips are available and owners are willing to accommodate reasonable requests.

Review 22：The location is good, within walking distanse of two very nice, almost deserted beaches. The hotel have it's own beach but it is very small and not that nice. The food in the restaurant is good, but very overpriced for what you get and compared to prices in other restaurants nearby.

Review 25：Only few things, not really important but you should know Mai Phuong Resort is located on the bay, so the water is very calm, almost without any waves (for others it might be +), water is very hot and shallow. There is far away to any place in the island. They have one old kayak, but they have not paddle. All wild beaches in the close area are dirty.

Review 26：This place is calm and quite, even nearby there is an investment (hotel?), anyhow almost build, so its not noisy. Bungalows are nice and adequate to the price or even more then adequate. Mai Phuong Resort has great restaurant with fresh seafood and local cuisine (you will not find there fast food or typical western dishes). The stuff is very helpfull, anyway communication is on the very basic level, but it works! Great view on the Turlte Island. nice and clean beach in the resort. I think this is very last moment to visit this part of Island as soon in the next few km there will be open HUGE Resort :(. WiFi is working well outside.

Review 27：wi-fi didn't work in our bungalow as it was far from the main building, taxi from Duong Dong about 400k vnd, but you get the quiet location, no disco, just the sea sounds..

Review 29：The beach of the resort was not very nice compared to other we visited. There was quite a bit of rubbish around and not much of a sand area to bathe in and the tide was always quite high. We had some issues with our bathroom stink and also there was a bad smell coming from somewhere in the room that we couldn't identify.

Review 30：Was in a nice remote location with some very nice beaches nearby. Having the optional scooter hire was great- wouldn't have been much of a trip to Phu Quoc if we weren't able to hire them. Restaurant was of a quality standard.

Review 31：while the place itself and the environment has a particular charm, quite a bunch of other things have not (as others stated before): the personnel is unhelpful if not unfriendly; the restaurant menu had 1000 options, but many were not available; the room is nice and even has a bathtub - BUT water runs very thinly, is barely hot and there is so much dirt coming in from the road outside that you'll bath in a dirty broth; the beach at the resort is very small - BUT there are super great & deserted beaches to both sides of the resort easily reachable. to sum up: even with these several negative aspects i would consider going to this bungalow garden again due to its secluded get-away chill charm

Review 32：if you want to seriously chill out on a secluded part of the island, THIS is the place you should go! its in an area where there is only a few resorts, not so easy to reach. i liked the charm of this bungalow resort a lot, especially its garden area with little benches, swings and hammocks placed all around, it was so quiet there and you can watch sunrise and go to tiny finger island by swimming or kayak so THIS is the place to chill!

Review 33：The resort is "on the beach" but the beach at this location is full of rocks, trash and seaweed. Cannot swim here. Very nice beach 10min walk away.

Review 41：- service was bad - Really difficult to get there, and the way there was quite expensive. Because it's remote. -there was nothing to do (Because of the raining season. -No hot shower -dirty room -No ellecricity half the time -You had to ask the staff multiple times to get them to do or help you with something (like changing the light bulb or help you with the tv) -there was mold in the pillows so we got sick -they turned the the electricity of in the middle of the night without warning. Had to ask them explicitly to keep it on -No 'normal' breakfast
