Reviews for Wesley Inn

Review 1:I didn't like eating the same breakfast every morning. The menu should vary from day to day or at least have eggs & a meat.

Review 2:I like the staff they were all very nice and professional. The location was great because it was right in the center of town which made it easy to reach family and it was very convenient to visit my new born grandson at Wesley Hospital.

Review 3:Someone else made a reservation under my name- this establishment obviously doesn't verify who is reserving/paying for a room. I was charged for the room without my consent. I was told by the front desk attendant that it would take "a few days" to reverse the charges but nothing could be done about it immediately. This means $100 plus dollars is now gone that I had budgeted to use during this stay. I made multiple calls to the manager, who was never there to answer, and my messages were never returned. After several days, the charges were reversed-no phone call or follow-up from the hotel.

Review 4:This hotel was nice & comfortable & in a perfect central location for the things we needed to do in Wichita. It was a really good value for the price.

Review 5:King size bed had not been turned. Head almost 2 inches lower than feet. Had to flip bedding and sleep backwards. Mattress firm but they need regular maintenance.

Review 6:Close to work. Clean room. Maid service everyday. Friendly staff.

Review 7:Telephone was not working, I have to come down just to tell at front desk my shower was hard to start, and TV was not working its only on DVD, of course with the phone not working can't ask how the TV works so we can actually watch TV or anything our staying in the hotel room for 5hrs before sleeping was worthless.

Review 8:Breakfast was convenient

Review 9:The staff kindness. This motel is next to a hospital, and it's obvious that the staff members have been trained to be extra kind to guests, because some guests have loved ones who are very ill.

Review 10:There wasn't anything we didn't like

Review 11:We liked the overall stay there, as well as the location. The room was clean, and temperature control was excellent. We will probably stay there again

Review 12:Nothing bad, but I hated that the exhaust fan automatically came on with the bathroom light. If you could change that, that would be great. And breakfast would have been better with a waffle station.

Review 13:It was the right location for our visit in Wichita. Room was nice.

Review 14:Very convenient location just across the street from Wesley Medical Center. Our room was spotless! The front desk person was very friendly and helpful.

Review 15:I didn't like having to pay for my small dog to stay with me for only 1 night.

Review 16:Very friendly, even late at night when I checked in extremely road weary.

Review 17:The bed was pretty soft and the breakfast leaves a little to be desired. Biscuits and gravy can get real old real fast and I wish that they had more options.

Review 18:Great location for me as I was on a beercation and it was within a 12 minute drive of most of my destinations. Clean rooms and convenient parking.

Review 19:Nothing major. My card key got changed every day, but the front desk took care of it quickly and efficiently. First nite no bottled water in the coke machine. Nothing major!

Review 20:Was blown away by the cleanliness of the hotel! No dust in corners, etc. Was so impressed.

Review 21:The towels were rough and had a bad smell. Also the king size beds need 4 pillows not 3.

Review 22:The hotel it's self has a good location and never have had any problems. We have used this hotel for the past 5 years every year in June.

Review 23:The same breakfast everyday, requiring us to go out for variety.

Review 24:The location was perfect for our needs (i.e., near to our children's residence, easy to go for evening walk, convenient driving distance from restaurants). The morning coffee was excellent. Staff were courteous, polite, and helpful. Laundry facility was good and the

Review 25:The only bad experience was the uncomfortable bed pillows

Review 26:My daughter and I were very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the overall facility...this was the second time in two weeks that we stayed here and each time we really liked how clean everything was....the continental breakfast was well done with a variety to choose from.....my only complaint is the bed pillows were very uncomfortable. ..I would definetly choose to stay here again

Review 27:The lady at the front desk was more interested in taking to her friends on her cell phone than helping us. This was on three occasions. The only way we got help was to stand there and not go away. The breakfast service was terrible. I admit we arrived 10-15 minutes before breakfast closed at 9AM. The only items we had to pick from was what was left. The was no body refilling the empty food items. The only employees around were more interested in getting the place closed down by 9 instead of refilling the empty breakfast items. We have stayed at other locations. They always had at least one employee restocking food items or asking what we wanted. By restocking, I do not mean putting out dozens of items, but one or two of each empty item depending on how many guests are at breakfast. The Wesley Inn folks could have cared less, other than getting the place closed by 9.

Review 28:would like to have had fresh fruit offered at breakfast, bananas, apples, something! they did have a pre-packaged 'fruit cocktail' but a choice would have been nice we also encountered a very large spider in our bathroom upon check-in and rather than discount our stay, the clerk moved us into another room; I suggested she contact their exterminator-they aren't doing their job

Review 29:the convenient location and overall atmosphere of The Wesley Inn is a big draw for us and we are repeat customers

Review 30:My wife was in the hospital at Wesley Medical Center. I needed a close place to stay by the hospital and Wesley Inn is just across the street. I do not know where there were reviews that weren't so good listed, but my stay was excellent and the room was very nice and very clean. I have had better breakfasts but this one was ok. I did not need a feast. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Review 31:When I called to verify the reservation the hotel only had us for one day so even though we had a confirmation we ended up paying more than the total cost on the booking.com confirmation because we had to book another day with them and breakfast was not as good as we expected from previous visits

Review 32:Great location friendly people

Review 33:The front desk was staffed by a very kind and helpfull woman. We were in a high stress situation at the hospital. She did everything she could to encourage and support us.

Review 34:Walls were a little thin....as a traveller without a car there are no buses so I had to walk long distances

Review 35:Clean hotel with nice staff and breakfast...I used most of the amenities including laundry and you can also rent dvds..my room was big and clean....good heating....

Review 36:Quiet atmosphere Availability of breakfast Clean facility Easy booking online at short notice Easy check in and out procedure Relatively easy access to room

Review 37:toilets keep running all night in my room and the one next door. They really need to check them.

Review 38:Friendly staff, very clean room with nice amenities. My room had a fridge and microwave. Everything you could want for the price. Plenty of towels & supplies. I would recommend it to others.

Review 39:I really wanted a Sunday Wichita paper but they were out of them. I finally bought one on my way home in Emporia.

Review 40:I loved the oversized chair in my room. Great for napping. I also liked having breakfast there. I especially liked the yogurt and fruit cups. Good coffee too. The gals in the front desk were especially helpful with directions.

Review 41:Old style bedspreads and lumpy pillows. They still have those bedspreads that slide off the bed and that you fear are seldom washed unlike the new style of duvet covers that give the bed a cleaner, updated feel. My pillow was lumpy.

Review 42:Walking distance of Wesley Medical Center. Nice, helpful staff.

Review 43:No restaurant

Review 44:Location, it is accessible to all other area.

Review 45:The breakfast could be more choices and fresher

Review 46:Very comfortable bed. Glad for the "green" suggestions.

Review 53:Good location and friendly staff. Close to food options including supermarket.

Review 54:Wasn't far out nice had everything Ing.

Review 55:Not inviting us to spend more time at the hotel

Review 56:Clean

Review 57:Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable accommodations.

Review 58:A very comfortable, convenient place close to area hospitals, shopping and restaurants, especially Panera Bread

Review 59:The rough area's around hotel

Review 60:Near Wichita State University and Old Town.

Review 61:Easy access and quietness

Review 62:Breakfast (i.e., limited variety and monotonous)

Review 63:Cleanliness, Front Desk Efficiency, Convenient Location, Staff Courtesy

Review 64:A shortage of warmth at the desk and in providing information. All business attitude.

Review 65:Convenient location

Review 66:Having to constantly re-log in to the wifi

Review 67:Convenience. Clean

Review 68:Only thing I didn't like is in a smoker. Other than that I liked everything.

Review 69:close to panera and chipotle grill

Review 70:The pillows were terribly lumpy. Room was stuffy.

Review 71:Liked the bedding. And how quiet the room was

Review 72:Location was great, convenient to Wesley Medical Center.

Review 73:Wi-fi was slow and breakfast was inadequate

Review 74:Clean and the location was central to our destinations

Review 75:For a business traveler, with a long term stay, the breakfast options were limited, not enticing one to want to rebook another stay.

Review 76:Comfort

Review 77:Would suggest a better brand of coffee.

Review 78:Location- close to Old Town and interstates. Nice beds! Very clean. Helpful desk clerk.

Review 79:Clean & quiet with a central location, at a reasonable price. We were satisfied.

Review 80:The continental breakfast was too limited.

Review 81:The excellent front desk ladies. Room was very clean.

Review 82:rooms are a bit dated, but clean overall.

Review 83:pet friendly and quiet.

Review 84:This is a very nice facility which is located close many resturants, businesses, & the hospital.

Review 85:Hotel was great, centrally located. No problems.

Review 86:Price was right. It served the purpose of a place to sleep between long drives. Also next to a Panera, which was convenient.

Review 87:The bed wasn't that comfortable.

Review 88:It was close to where we were going. It's easy to get to.

Review 89:The continental breakfast was ridiculous. Glad there was a McDonalds nearby.

Review 90:Location was good. Close to WSU campus.

Review 91:Nothing

Review 92:Everything

Review 93:Needed live fruit at breakfast but the sausage grave was good

Review 94:Old, unsafe area, smells and dirty.

Review 95:Keys were too easily de-magnetized

Review 96:Friendliness of the staff. Clean rooms.

Review 97:Quiet, clean and friendly staff.

Review 98:The staff were friendly, facilities were very clean. The bed and room were comfortable and the air conditioner wasn't noisy.

Review 99:Location next to the hospital so we could walk to my appointment and having the breakfast was convenient so we didn't have to find a place to eat. Staff was excellent.

Review 100:Nothing negative to share. The place was very clean and held extras we did not expect : fridge, microwave, in addition to the routine mini coffee maker. Continental breakfast was nice too.

Review 101:We traveled with our son and his family. The staff placed us in adjoining rooms and we so enjoyed that convenience. Being near the elevator was another plus for this aging couple.

Review 102:The price is higher for the same level that I have gotten at other hotels for less money. It is probably alright for the area it is located in.

Review 103:Very clean rooms. Nice selection for the breakfast. Adequate parking & nice level of security. Staff was pleasant and easy to communicate with.

Review 104:Only complaint with room was we would have liked another pillow or two. Only thing missing with breakfast was the scrambled eggs that I have every day! :)

Review 105:The room was clean and well-kept. The bath was clean, stocked with plenty of towels. Nice having a refrigerator and microwave in the room! Breakfast was well-stocked and good - good biscuits & gravy, fruit, and yogurt. Staff was courteous, check-in and out was quick and easy.

Review 106:The only thing that I really didn't like was it had a bit of an odor. Not dirty or anything, it just didn't agree with my nose. I have a really sensitive nose, and my husband didn't make any comments that he noticed anything.

Review 107:Staff was exceptional, and it is a great value for the money. It is right across the street from the hospital, and that makes it wonderful when you have to be there at 5 am.

Review 108:Very icy/ slippery in parking lot.

Review 109:Clean, comfortable bed, very nice shower. Biscuit and sausage gravy for breakfast. Christmas cookies and fudge in lobby.

Review 110:Matress could have been a little more comfortable but it was OK. I may be spoiled by my Sleep Number at home.

Review 111:Well located. Clean, adequate facilities, free WiFi, decent breakfast

Review 112:The air conditioner did not work. Woke up at 2:00am, the room was hot and stuffy. Did not get a good nights sleep. After all, isn't that the purpose of a hotel? We had a long drive back to east Texas with little sleep.

Review 113:It was clean.

Review 114:The check-in clerk did not tell us how to get to our room, show us a map, or tell us where to park. She made us and another couple wait, while she finished talking to someone on the phone. Some of the wooden furniture--desk, TV stand and night stand--were scuffed. The light on the left side of the bed had a short. The vent fan in the bathroom was not very efficient. The continental breakfast was mostly carbs. The bathroom faucet dripped. There was no pool or fitness room, and the hotel was in a sketchy neighborhood.

Review 115:The hotel was neat, clean and in fairly good repair. The furnishings and decor were functional, attractive, stylish but practical. The bed was firm and comfortable with fluffy feather pillows. The in-room coffee maker brews a nice batch of tea, too, if you don't mind the taste of coffee in the first few cups--just set a tea bag in the receptacle where the coffee goes. The continental breakfast was okay, especially the biscuits and gravy. There are books and videos in the lobby area for guests to check out and use while they stay at the hotel. The room had a microwave, mini-fridge, ironing board, iron and blow-dryer. The hotel was right across the street from Wesley hospital and next door to Panera Bread.

Review 116:The breakfast was so-so. There was no fresh fruit. Otherwise OK. When I booked the room I requested the room with two double beds but instead got a room with a king size bed. I didn't say anything since it was my daughter and I, so it really didn't matter but it wasn't what I expected.

Review 117:Everything was clean! There were no funky smells. You could walk barefoot on the carpet and tile, and have no fear getting in the shower or the bed. The linens and towels were clean and white and smelled fresh. The beds and pillows were comfortable and although it's close to a hospital, I never heard any sirens or noise. Location was convenient near WSU. There was a coffee pot, refrigerator, and microwave in the room, all of which were very clean! Also had ironing board and iron, and a blow dryer.
