Review 1：We were upgraded to a pool suite so that might have skewed my experience of the value for money but everything was just so luxurious and the staff so friendly that I can't find a single fault.

Review 2：The room We decided to spoil ourselves with a private pool side room but it was disappointing. No block out on the curtains/ awkward sliding doors in-between bedroom and sunroom. Mattress convertor / Mattress topper too soft Sitting in the sun room in my underwear and a staff member walks past the private pool Pool was not cleaned Room had not been checked properly before our check-in. (broken window latches and blinds in the bathroom)

Review 6：Something did not feel right Refillable water for guests? You never know what people do with bottles. Door to bathroom did not close. Timber floor to shower, no practical. Room not 100% clean. Room smelt bad of moth balls Could not get booking for dinner at restaurant even the day before. Please note we are fussy but the places we stayed the night before was 100% so we can be pleased.

Review 8：Water running from shower into toilet and passage. Wi Fi bad. Got burnt bread when I ordered a sandwich. Second sandwich was also not up to scratch. Grill Room staff member was new and knew nothing about the menu. Chef in Europe so stand in chef. Cocky manageress on duty that evening. Did not offer any compensation. Just because it's out of season is no excuse. We still paid a fortune.

Review 9：Indoor pool and jacuzzi as well as sauna very nice. Steam room not working. Most of the staff very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded after a few unpleasant problems.

Review 10：I think the Booking Image (picture) under delivers. Without a referral I would have missed this opportunity altogether. I also think a place of this calibre should take direct bookings. Forcing me to book online makes it seem like a backpackers.

Review 24：The staff is very friendly and know what they are doing. The Hotel interior design is great and every detail is thought about it. The Makaron and the Bar are great as well and the chef is fantastic. Thank you for the great stay!

Review 25：Amazing hotel and overall experience - staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Very beautiful with so much to look at and examine. Food was great too - even the room service menu - I had a delicious club sandwich. I highly recommend it and will definitely be staying there again on my next trip.

Review 40：the facilities and services were patchy and inconsistent. The guest services directory informed me that laundry left before 9 am would be returned at 6pm the same evening. On Monday morning at 6.45 am I let reception know that I had left my laundry in my room for collection. When I returned in the evening my laundry was not there and the hotel were unable to find it. I was checking out the next day and as I checked out they were still not able to find it and the receptionist was clearly struggling to deal with complaints from other guests. I was assured my laundry would be found and forwarded to me. It was not and after much chasing it was eventually returned to me three and a half days later and was all creased. Our stay for two people for two nights was over R8000 and was definitely not value for money.
