Reviews for Jefferson Clinton Hotel

Review 1:Bed could have been softer but it was a very minor issue.

Review 2:All staff members interact with customers above the norm. Breakfast is very well organized and tasty. Coffee (tea) Bar was well stocked and always available (24/7).

Review 3:The a.c. system when it kicked in was alittle noisy but it's a older building and for the way the place was it was worth it

Review 4:We like everything about the stay it was amazing the breakfast was really good as well

Review 5:Nothing

Review 6:Lovely staff, beautiful suite, very reasonable cost plus we had a wonderful breakfast included.. Since we were visiting our grandson who is at the university,we invited him and a friend for breakfast. The hotel didn't charge for our guests tho we offered to pay for them three times.

Review 7:We stayed in an executive which gave us plenty of room to chill out and relax. We were in town for a wedding, the hotel was very helpful with providing for our requirements. Included valet parking was very convenient.

Review 8:The room ( a small suite) lacked sufficient lighting especially in the bedroom. Leaving a good part of the room dark and unwelcoming. Also the sofa in the suite was not comfortable nor did it look like it would be.

Review 9:The staff at check-in was delightfully friendly and helpful. The parking lot attached to the building and obvious watchful eye of the hotel was a plus. The historic nature of the hotel made it a memorable visit and nice distinction from the everyday chain.

Review 10:There is not a lot in the way of facilities for kids, but we were out for most of the day anyway.

Review 11:The location is perfect with access to all kinds of cool restaurants and bars. The Science Center is a stone's throw away. We loved that the hotel had a history. The breakfast was quite good with fresh fruit (including blueberries!) and a chef making omelettes.

Review 12:Breakfast timings, spotty WiFi, no airport shuttle (cab fares were expensive), no inside cafeteria (had to order in Chinese).

Review 13:Location, bed, DVD player, refrigerator, quiet room on top floor, spray jet shower, late checkout hours!

Review 14:I guess I wish they had a second elevator but waiting in the beautifully decoded hallways was okay for me.

Review 15:Great location, comfortably huge room, great bed, food and staff. All a round perfect hotel experience.

Review 16:6 inches of snow in the parking lot between cars; snow was cleared from car which I really appreciated! May be a valuable customer experience investment to shovel between cars

Review 17:Location and staff

Review 18:My boyfriend and I wanted to find a nice hotel in downtown syracuse near everything and that's exactly what we found! Staff was so hospitable and pleasant and we look forward to going back!

Review 19:the Hotel room was not worth what we paid.. not as clean as we would of liked and very dated..

Review 20:I liked the location of the Hotel.. and the free breakfast was nice

Review 21:One elevator

Review 22:Free parking

Review 23:room smelled old- very- also needed more lights

Review 24:staff was great!

Review 37:Breakfast

Review 38:Such a small room

Review 39:It was chilly in the lobby when the doors were open.

Review 40:We stayed on an upper floor and had a wonderful view. And we enjoyed our breakfast very much.

Review 41:Bare feet and lower legs can get badly hurt against bottom ends of beds.

Review 42:Exceptional staff, nice facilties and breakfast chef was impressive.

Review 49:The overall atmosphere was great. Really nice that everything was in walking distance. The breakfast brunch was awesome! Great job everyone at the JCH! Will definitely be back.

Review 50:When Jet Blue cancelled our flight for weather and we got stranded, the hotel did not charge us for the missed night and were very friendly and obliging. Our executive suite was very roomy, quiet and comfortable. I'd stay there again.

Review 51:lack of restaurant and variety in room service. lack of entertainment in the area.

Review 52:well appointed rooms, courteous staff, free DVD rentals and popcorn.

Review 53:Our heat went out on a very cold night. I should have called maintenancesooner because they came right away and fixed it when I called, but Iwaited several hours being cold before I called.

Review 54:Great location. The room was beautiful and spacious. There was a fullkitchen and eating area.

Review 55:The most expensive choice in the market.

Review 56:Wonderfully-appointed historic hotel. Well located for downtown business and walking access to the City's best restaurants and nightlife.

Review 57:A bit expensive, but the location was so convenient. I guess you are paying for the location.

Review 58:Check out time was 2 pm. No running around to get everything pack for an earlier check out. Staff was very friendly. It had snowed over night and when we went out to our car they had wiped all the snow off. The free breakfast buffet hit the spot and we were even allowed to bring our plates up to our room. Overall a great experience.

Review 59:From our room we could hear breakfast being prepared and sometimes people talking.

Review 60:My daughter loved the rubber ducky in the room and took it with her to college. I liked the comfortable bed, best night sleep in a hotel I've had. The employees were very helpful and the breakfast was very good.

Review 61:The hotel was wonderful in all the ways that a hotel should be (comfortable beds, clean rooms, well-appointed). But what really won us over were all the "extras" in the hotel that really shouldn't be extras in hotels. The Jefferson Clinton had bowls of fruit at the registration desk (a real help when you show up to to the hotel with hungry kids), DVD players in the rooms with a great DVD library at no charge, free internet (why do other hotels still charge for internet - highway robbery), a wonderful happy hour with light appetizers in the lobby, and a good free breakfast.

Review 62:None.

Review 63:Love how accommodating the hotel is. It offers free breakfast including omelette cooked on the spot by hotel chef. Free movie DVD. Complimentary evening snacks and drinks.

Review 64:The hotel is pricey, but a beautiful hotel.

Review 65:The staff is wonderful. Tim and David stand out with us on this trip. They always help us with our luggage and parking. The staff is very friendly. The man making the omeletts

Review 66:Heater in room was extremely noisy and hard to control. Bedding such asduvet are old and should be replaced

Review 67:Staff were wonderful, helpful and caring. Breakfast was great

Review 68:Little too pricey for a tiny "euro" sized room. Only 1 slow elevator and only 1 ice machine for the entire building.

Review 69:Great location, right near lots of bars and restaurants. We walked everywhere. Staff was very friendly, omelet station at the buffet was great, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent!

Review 70:Such a lovely historical hotel a short walk from the restored shops and restaurants in the old downtown area.

Review 71:Staff was friendly and helpful. Very comfortable mattresses. Great night's sleep.

Review 72:Not enough self parking but valet was very easy to make up for it.

Review 73:Staff very friendly.

Review 74:nothing

Review 75:Great location in downtown Syracuse, very friendly, helpful staff, comfortable room, clean and updated throughout.

Review 76:Not having easy access to my car.

Review 77:The complimentary breakfast and SU cookie! Also liked the location in downtown armory.

Review 79:Thought it was silly to charge for the candy they left in the room.

Review 80:Excellent hotel, service was fine, suite was great.

Review 81:Very comfortable and friendly.

Review 82:Very slow, single elevator Somewhat weak WiFi

Review 83:Beautiful room Quiet, even for its location Very friendly staff Excellent breakfast

Review 84:Nice free breakfast in the morning with omelet bar.

Review 85:Lack of good transportation system inside city. Taxi fees are too high.

Review 86:Helpfulness of staff

Review 87:Noisy neighbourhood. Hard to have a good night sleep.

Review 88:Restaurants.

Review 89:Friendly, genuine atmosphere, professional, old-timey but modern, nice touches, good location, comfortable (soft!) bed, free parking, not a chain.

Review 90:Breakfast was not great (no fruit) but nice to have it available. A bit pricey.
