Reviews for Lavender, A Four Sisters Inn

Review 1:We loved the fresh air and the swing on the porch and the beautiful flowers all around Lavender. The grounds are immaculate and just off the main traffic road.

Review 2:Nothing, all was great

Review 3:Great Bed and Breakfast, staff (especially Marion) were very helpful and nice. The place is clean, the room is big. Loaction convenient for exploring Napa Valley and surroundings. Restaurants close by, you can walk.

Review 4:We loved this place because it was so close to the major yountville eateries and wine tasting rooms. Hey have free cookies all day , complimentary wine hour and cute rooms. Parking was onsite and the easy!

Review 5:Maryann checked us in and she immediately made us feel at home. The country French decor was charming land the breakfasts varied and delicious. Bikes were available so we took a ride around town each day. We will definitely make a return visit.

Review 6:We didn't love the pillows and thought the towels could be a bit fluffier/higher quality.

Review 7:I loved the bedroom and bathroom decor. The bathtub was great for a bath. The fireplace was nice touch as well. The entire place was charming and would definitely stay there again. Great location!! Yountville is so cute and in the middle of Napa county

Review 8:We loved our stay! Great location and great service. Not to mention delic breakfasts! We were visiting from Japan and we're very happy that we found this place ;)

Review 9:I need a thin pillow and the many provided were all pretty plump & firm. As a problem, that's truly minor.

Review 10:Amenities were terrific. I almost hated to leave to go to dinner, and lingered in the room until check-out time was almost up. Marion was informative in a way I easily understood. The lounge was nicely decorated and comfortable. It was all I booked it for!

Review 11:Wifi very slow and kept disconnecting.

Review 12:Buffet breakfast, loft suite, Jacuzzi bathtub, riding bikes in country side, close walking distance to great restaurants.

Review 13:There was some buzzing noise coming from the fireplace when it was in the off mode.

Review 14:The entire stay was very pleasant. The room was very nicely equipped. It was prepared with personal touches. Loved the fireplace since we went around Xmas time. The breakfast was tasty as well.

Review 15:The breakfast room was small and although the food was good, the layout wasn't all that appealing. Also, the pillows were so old the stuffing was all bunched up and felt like a rag doll more than a pillow.

Review 16:I liked the location and the space of the room. Rare to find double sinks and so much space all around.

Review 17:The common area, sitting room and breakfast room are cramped. The weather was rainy so we couldn't sit outside which would have helped.I prefer a stall shower and this had a tub and overhead shower.

Review 18:The room was well thought out, very comfortable, well lighted, good TV,robes, fireplace and adequate space. The patio was lovely, although the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside and enjoying it. The large bathroom with 2 sinks was a plus. The breakfast was very good.

Review 19:The rain :)

Review 20:We loved chatting with elderly English women who was at the inn in the evening. She was very funny and attentive and full of energy for her age. Good for you for having such a delightful older employee.

Review 21:The bathroom needed a good deep cleaning. The mattress felt like it was on its last legs. The morning coffee was weak. The lighting in the room was gloomy.

Review 22:Very friendly staff. Loved the wine by the fire each afternoon. Great location.

Review 23:Our room which was an obvious make-over of a garage or other outbuilding was overpriced. The gas fireplace did not work... the pilot kept going out. When we reported our worry of possible gas leakage to the desk, not one of four phone calls to managers, maintenance etc, resulted in any service. Advertising as a French country inn with boules court is certainly misleading as the court is the parking lot.

Review 24:Our location within walking distance of wonderful Yountville restaurants; delicious breakfast!

Review 25:not everything was perfectly maintained. reading light on one side was burned out. several porch lights out (little twinkly kind) not working. Really, just get a maintence guy to replace them. adds to the overall ambience. kind of an odd closet with a mirror that could have been better secured to the door.

Review 26:fantastic location, quiet side street. nice breakfast in the AM. staff was very friendly and helpful. really beautiful property. a porch of dreams.

Review 27:Good size room, cute little yard perfect for an evening cap or morning coffee. Generous snack and wine set up at 5pm,great location and value for the money for that area

Review 28:I wasn't here to watch TV, but the TV in my room did not work and no one did anything about it, even after two requests. The phone didn't work either. One morning the chef didn't show for breakfast, so that was delayed for about 45 min -- tough on the folks who had early departures. These irritations are minor -- it's a great place to stay!

Review 29:My room in the main house was marvelous -- large, complete with sitting room, windows or French doors on three sides for marvelous light and ventilation. Very comfortable and airy. Afternoon snack of wine and cheese and crudite very welcome after touring vineyards and before dinner! Innkeeper Marion was an energizer bunny of conversation and valuable information!

Review 30:Loved everything.

Review 31:What can I say? This B&B is a beautiful breath of fresh air. The staff is lovely, food is delicious and the accommodations absolutely superb. I felt pampered throughout our check-in tour, happy hour, cookie jar access, and check out. And the breakfast was fantastic! Walking distance to everything in Yointville was a plus! Just a beautiful experience. Thank you so much!!

Review 32:The internet was slow and not easy to access.

Review 33:We loved the room! It was spacious and the bathroom was huge! Each guest room has a private courtyard or garden where one could relax with a coffee! The wine and cheese at 5:00 was a nice touch. The staff were very accommodating.

Review 34:Friendly staff who were very knowledgeable.
