Review 1：My reservation got lost then later in the evening after going to bed someone tried to enter my room because paperwork got mixed up, this was handled great by the girls at the front desk.

Review 3：I booked a room with a tub and got a handicap room. Very disappointed that the front desk clerk was also the maintenance worker. I didn't like being greated with a ring bell for service or call my phone because I'm doing maintenance on rooms. Did not give me a good feeling about what the room would be like. I felt misled and will not stay there again. I had the option to book a cheaper room but went for the more expensive room and got a hanDicap room. So the hotel charges more for a handicap room? That is not fair and I'm sure advocates for the handicap people as a whole would not like that.
Review 4：It's unfortunate that well behaved pets and owners aren't allowed. There are great responsible owners despite the bad ones.

Review 6：The hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet. We were looking for a room just to sleep in as were were checking in after 9:00pm and out before 11:00 am the next day. A good continental breakfast is provided with great coffee. The hotel is more than convenient to the city of Syracuse and the major interstates.
Review 7：Breakfast hostess has a very negative attitude. Minimal, bare-bones breakfast. Whole facility gives the impression of cutting every possible corner, from the poor quality of the soap to the minimalist furnishings.

Review 11：My reservation was not in their computer. I was told they were booked. She talked to someone and then said someone's one had not gone through and she had not called so they gave me her room. When I got up to the room, I tried to turn on the TV. Nothing. I tried to turn it on manually, nothing. I tried to call the desk. The phone was dead. I had to go down to the desk. They gave me another room( I do not know where it came from). When I got back to the room at 9:30PM, the water was running in the toilet. The flapper was not working. I called the desk and was told the manager was not there and to shut off the water supply. No one came to the room. Every time I got up in the night, I had to turn the water back on. I am 77 years old and not easy to do. When I checked out, I told the man all the problems I had and felt the room rate should be adjusted. He said the previous person did not complain and did not seem to want to do anything and didn't.

Review 16：Room was nice, comfortable bed. Having Daniella's Restaurant was fabulous - we didn't expect that and were thrilled to have a wonderful dinner at the end of a long day. Plus it stormed and we got to be cozy and eat and just head upstairs and not have to drive back.

We left a fantastic tip in our room with a note , because we enjoyed our stay so much! The location was perfect, it is right in the range of just about everything in syracuse! Don't hesitate, you will not regret it!

Review 30：1) No sofa in our King room (209). There is an empty space where a sofa used to be. The photo on the web site showed a sofa in the King room, so we expected to have one. Always nice to have somewhere to sit besides the bed.
Review 31：King bed was very comfortable. Daniella's steakhouse was excellent and so convenient. Free parking, convenient to Destiny USA (10 minutes max). Hotel was very quiet, even though it is located beside a major highway and a railway track. It was convenient to have breakfast included.
Review 32：Free breakfast left much to be desired. On the Saturday there were no eggs, sausage, waffle batter or fruit other than one lone apple between 8:45 and 9:15. Breakfast is supposed to be until 10:00 am.

Review 35：The only "less than perfect" thing I could say about the hotel was that it seemed to be in a rather isolated area. We came east on the NY Freeway and our GPS directed us in a long looping route from the highway to the hotel that seemed longer at that time of the evening than it probably actually was. Getting back on the highway the next morning was very easy as the entrance was close.
Review 36：We arrived late in the evening and though the in-hotel restaurant was closing, the restaurant staff permitted us to order dinner and eat there. The waitress was very courteous, kind, and accommodating to us so late in the evening. Also, the restaurant musical performer (Clarence Pinckney) acknowleged our presence, joked with us, and greeted us with humour and warmth. And then he played sax while we ate. We enjoyed his eclectic performance which was a nice and intimate musical end to our day. He even gave us a CD of his music. Wonderful dinner. The food was very tasty as I recall. The hotel room was high-ceilinged, in excellent shape, with comfortable firm beds and very clean and well presented. We slept very well. Breakfast was a typical continental I think but better than many hotels I've been to.
Review 37：1. We a spider on the bed, called the staff and she said she has no one to deal with it but she can bring new linen that we will change ourselves . We were surprised. After a few minutes she came and I asked her to come in and see. She said she believes us but she's not entering guests room and left the new linen. 2. The freezer was full of ice so we couldn't put our ice cream inside. 3. Noisy flushing. 4. On the back of the door,were generally they put safety instruction there was a sign that says that everything in the room is for sale and if something will not be found the hotel will assume that the guest took it and he will be charged through the credit card. ..

Review 41：My only complaint is relative to cleaning. I noticed handprints on the large headboard to the bed and the surface of the room phone was rather grimy. Having checked out everything else in the room including the sheets, I felt comfortable just taking out my Clorox travel wipes and finishing the cleaning. It was not a big deal and all else considered, worth the tiny bit of effort to suit myself.
Review 42：I say "surprisingly good" because I was a bit wary of what I was about to encounter as I noticed the hotel was so close to railroad tracks and what appeared to be a light industrial area. The hotel is quite close to the New York State Fairgrounds and the site is not the most visually appealing as result but once I entered and encountered Colby, a very lovely employee, I was willing to look at my room in order to determine whether or not I would stay. My room was very comfortable and perfectly quiet. The king size bed was wonderfully comfortable, bathroom newly renovated and nicely appointed! Daniella's Steakhouse is affiliated with the hotel and is on site. I ordered room service every evening and I was very pleased overall. Terrific filet mignon!
Review 43：The first room we were assigned had a definite smell of cigarette smoke which meant we had to change rooms and got a room with 2 queens when we had booked a room with a king bed. If this is a non-smoking staff why couldn't housekeeping staff smell that there was an odour of cigarette smoke when we did

Review 49：When we checked in after 6pm, only 17 of the 47 rooms were sold (thefront desk clerk told me this). We had asked for a King room, but werenot given one since we were told many rooms were not yet cleaned, eventhough check-in was 3pm. When we went to the room assigned to us, it wasan occupied room with other people's stuff in it. It took 3 morerooms before we found one that did not stink of smoke (it was a kingroom after all of this). I asked for a manager, but he was not on site.I spoke with the front desk clerk in the morning and explained whathappened, and she said sorry, there is nothing I can do. I asked for afollow up, but it is over a week later and no one has contacted me.Breakfast was awful, there was no fresh fruit available at all, and thehot food was dried out (potatoes) or very greasy (sausage). We weresupposed to stay here on our way back home, I cancelled our reservationand would never stay here again.

We knew what to expect (e.g. parking is charged at $9 and that is reasonable given the location) and we got what we expected. The elevator is slow and we knew that from traveler opinions. But is that such a negative? I would recommend this place without any hesitation to folks.
Review 54：Toilet seat so loose that you could hardly use it. Housekeeper had either ignored it and not report it to maintenance, or not see it because she never cleaned the toilet. Either way, not good.
