Reviews for Napa Valley Lodge
Review 1:Our king size bed was the worst we've ever slept on...absolutely no support what so ever. We both suffered from back pain for entire stay. Definitely effected our Napa Valley experience. Over heard someone say at breakfast that they still had no hot water in their room after complaining the day before.
Review 2:Location was great for walking to rest.and wine tasting along main street. The room was very large and clean with a nice patio as well. Large flat screen T.V. with lots of channels to pick from. The big wood burning fireplace was the perfect touch for a cozy stay. Unfortunately can not return because of the poor quality bed.
Review 3:The comfort and convenience of the location. The grounds are lovely. Our room was made up while we were at breakfast! A warm toddy was offered us in the lobby on our arrival. We have been coming to Napa Valley Lodge since before all of the excellent restaurants, tasting rooms and places of interest appeared on Washington Street.
Review 4:Everything was great except the staff (specifically the front office). We had a bag that was taken from outside our back door. It was filledw/ expensive food from Dave and Delucca. When she called about itthe manager gave her a really hard time including saying "what youshould do if you are concerned about your food is file a policereport" that is not the thing to say to one of your customers thatis paying quite a bit of money for a special trip.
Review 5:Loved to location, facility, and the grounds.
Review 6:It would be really nice to have some tomatoes etc.with our breakfast
Review 7:The staff was very nice and helpful. The complimentary tea and cookies and coffee were great. The gardening was simply breathtaking.
Review 8:Perfect location to all wineries! It's a short walk to downtown Yountville. We stayed in a suite, which was lovely. Spacious room! The complimentary breakfast was delicious. We would definitely come back!
Review 9:The Lodge is ideally located a short walk from the heart of the quaint town of Yountville. Yountville itself has great shopping and dining, but it is also very convenient to wineries and other Napa attractions. The Lodge's lobby and lobby staff are extremely welcoming, and the rooms are nicely laid out and furnished. As many have noted, there is nothing to complain about when it comes to the breakfast -- either the food or the champagne!
Review 10:Nothing to not like
Review 11:Super helpful staff when we had a problem, big georgeous rooms, great pool area, pretty property in beautiful location, good proximity to the town and restaurants.
Review 12:There is nothing I do not like about this property. Only recommendation is to request a room that does not back towards Highway 29 for more quiet but you still have a lovely vineyard view.
Review 13:Always love this place-great location in the heart of Napa Valley
Review 14:Only criticism was that we couldn't get any service around the pool before 2pm and in reality because there was only one girl serving we didn't get our snack & drink till after 3pm.
Review 15:So relaxed & such a pretty place. Convenient for the wineries & wonderful restaurants.
Review 16:Having to leave!
Review 17:I couldn't fault the hotel. From the polite efficient staff to the very comfortable and clean rooms to the beautiful pool area it was excellent!
Review 18:Great location in Yountville. Can walk everywhere in town. Lovely setting: gardens, pool; delicious champagne buffet breakfast with tables inside and out. Wine tasting in early evening. Wonderful staff.
Review 19:The light in the room... The room was a bit dark.
Review 20:The swimmingpool, the garden, free towels and pool service :) Also It's close to restaurants in Yountville, with walking distance. Perfect location!
Review 21:Beautiful location next to a vineyard. The tractor working in the vineyard at 7:30 in the morning wasn't quite so beautiful.
Review 22:Great breakfast! Comfortable bed.
Review 23:2 stories but no elevator, no room service
Review 24:comfortable bed, stocked refrigerator, good, coffee maker, nice pool and fire pit, good location, free parking. spacious room and bathroom, nice fireplace and balcony.
Review 25:Not only was the hotel beautiful, in a great location & very comfortable, the staff were friendly & helpful & went out of their way to make our stay as memorable & comfortable as it possible. The details definitely count, champagne on arrival, cookies on your pillow etc. I highly recommend this hotel & I most certainly will return.
Review 26:Loved everything about this hotel!! From check in to check out !! The staff was amazing & the property was beautiful !! Such a relaxing atmosphere !! Best part was we were able to walk everywhere!!!Yountville is a beautiful town with great wine tasting, shopping,& restaurants!! Can't wait to go back!!!
Review 27:The hotel is very charming and it's located in a very good location. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. The breakfast is very good and the bed super comfy.
Review 28:The property is beautiful and very serene. The front desk staff were so helpful. The included breakfast was just delicious and had such a variety of foods. They have a very pretty courtyard and pool area with Bocce ball. It was just a short stroll to the center of downtown Yountville for dining and shopping.
Review 29:Room lighting could be improved. Found it a little dark.
Review 30:Friendly staff, loved the breakfast, coffee with Biscotti, afternoon cookie. Nicely maintained property.
Review 31:The bed wasn't very comfortable. There is a bit of traffic noise from Hwy 29.
Review 32:This is a great location. Central to the valley and thus close to everything. Very nice setting, pleasant and professional staff. Rooms are nice and large. Nice fireplace. Breakfast was very nice.
Review 33:The Lodge is in a great location, near wineries and restaurants. The place itself is very nice inside and out. The room is very spacious, bed very comfy. The grounds are beautiful with outstanding landscaping. The breakfast was great with many choices, including make your own waffles. After breakfast we walked out by the pool and sat by a fire pit and. Chatted with other guests. There are bikes available to borrow, which we did, and rode around Yountville. Over all, a great place for a get away!
Review 34:Nothing! Wished we could have stayed longer!
Review 35:This was an excellent place to stay and looked even better than online pictures. Everything was immaculate! Breakfasts were exceptional and they even met us while waiting for our husbands in car w/ champagne!
Review 36:A bit pricy.
Review 37:I liked that the room cleaning service was invisible. I've never experienced something like this. I went to have my breakfast then returned and the room was already cleaned. Great!
Review 38:The first night I was there, the room smelled like artificial fire logs as the vents were leaking into the room from the room below. I had to be moved to another room and that was quite inconvenient. The the staffs credit, I was fully comped for the first night and upgraded. Good Hotels use these mishaps to show just how hospitable they are and how important their guests are. I felt like they really cared : )
Review 39:I loved the comfortable bedding. The proximity to town was nice as in afforded the luxery of walking off your dinner. Very good staff and the breakfast in the morning is well above continental with momosas too!
Review 40:The entire experience was exceptional, from champagne breakfast, all day coffee, and wine tasting included to fabulous knowledgeable staff. The location is ideal, within walking distance of many tasting rooms and biking distance of many more wineries.
Review 41:There were a few ants wandering around, which we quickly told the staff about, and they sent someone up in a jiffy to try to look into it. It's understandably related to weather & conditions due to location, so we didn't sweat it so much. How can you when your room is THAT comfortable and you're having a fabulous time? ;)
Review 42:Location, location, location! Not only did we always get a great night's sleep in one of the comfiest beds & pillows you could ever ask for away from home, Napa Valley Lodge is a stone's throw away from some of the BEST restaurants (and bakery!) in the world, and a quick hop from fabulous wineries. The service and accommodations were fantastic. These foodies were incredibly impressed!
Review 43:The sink did not work properly and the facial tissues ran out without any extra in the room. I was disappointed there was no tub. The breakfast was average.
Review 44:The location was good and the neighborhood was very quiet. The room was clean and nice with free bottled water and coffee machine. The front desk staff was super friendly.
Review 45:Location: just a little further to walk to town Breakfast: not enough room to accommodate guests
Review 46:Location: easy on & off hwy Breakfast was included & offered something that every family member could enjoy Staff: very accommodating Loved the pool area
Review 47:Though the location is RIGHT off the highway, one doesn't notice the noise except for maybe between 5 and 7 a.m. when everything is super quiet. The walk around the entire hotel from room 28 to the pool, firepit and breakfast location needs improvement.
Review 48:Lovely King room with a fireplace facing the pretty pool and courtyard and a slice of the tiny field of grapevines.Tuscan style architecture. Champagne served at the desk to take back to your room. The staff was smiling and friendly presenting us with a bottle of wine for our anniversary. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a variety of cold choices including cheeses, fruits, breads and cereal. Small but just fine hot items. Make your own Mimosa and/or Poinsetta.
Review 49:Climbing stairs for 2nd floor room with luggage. No place to sit at wine tasting. Need better signage for breakfast room plus tell guests that they need a key to access gate. We had already checked out.
Review 50:Room size, comfort
Review 51:That rates will stay over priced
Review 52:The only reason why I went was FINALLY they lowered there rates!!! Yountville is 100% over priced in hotels This isn't a place that requires such high prices
Review 53:The bed was a little hard, but that is a little nit-picking. Everything else was exceptional.
Review 54:Exceptional knowledge of area and general helpfulness by engaged and committed staff. Even the janitorial worker made an extra trip to our room to make sure our pillows were right.
Review 55:Slightly expensive.
Review 56:The terracotta roofed buildings are accented by beautifully landscaped grounds surrounded by a working vineyard. Did I forget to mentioned the sun washed mountain range in the background???
Review 57:Parking is limited and the proximity to the highway results in some road noise.
Review 58:Great location in Yountville (right off Hwy 29), easy access to anywhere in the Napa Valley area, pleasant and helpful staff, high-quality complementary breakfast, beautifully landscaped courtyard, nice pool and firepit, large balcony overlooking the courtyard and clean well-appointed rooms.
Review 59:One of our massage receipts was missing the massage therapist's registration/certification number which we require for reimbursement from our benefits plan. It took a while but we eventually received everything we needed. This should be a standard practice.
Review 60:Website had great information such as the description of "Why Stay With Us". It was spot on. Great location - Just off highway, walking distance to restaurants, tasting rooms and shops. Close to Napa and wineries. Beautiful property with vineyard. Great staff with local knowledge - Recommended wine tours that fit our expectations. Complimentary breakfast had great variety (including eggs, sausage, waffles) and was excellent. Massage was great. Overall, one of our best stays. We only booked for 3 nights but wished it was longer.
Review 61:Can't think of a think I didn't like!
Review 62:Hotel was beautifully situated at one end of wonderful town of Yountville; a gorgeous little town filled with great restaurants and wine tastings, close to many wineries. The rooms were very nice, the pool area gorgeous, champagne breakfast was incredible (included in price), free bikes. We had a garden king room on 1st floor with beautiful view of the vineyards. Will definitely go back.
Review 63:Could have been a bit more storage space in the room as we had a family room and couldn't unpack
Review 64:Close to loads of amazing restaurants, no bar at hotel so they allowed you to bring your own drinks around the outside area in the evening. Pool and jacuzzi open until 11pm
Review 65:Napa Valley Lodge is beautiful and the personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is wonderful. They met every criteria we had.
Review 66:Hot water in the shower was barely lukewarm.
Review 67:Great location, comfortable rooms. Easy to walk to restaurants, tasting rooms and shopping.
Review 68:Great location in the heart of the wine country. Walking distance to excellent restaurants and wine bars. We will definitely come back.
Review 69:No bathtub in a room we stayed.
Review 70:Great location with friendly and cooperative staff who helped us plan on our trip at last minutes.
Review 71:Great location, comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfast. Outdoor fire pit was nice to sit around at night and sip wine.
Review 72:Very nice breakfast options. Also walking distance to a great selection of restaurants
Review 73:Only negative is that the hotel is close to the noise of the main road
Review 74:Close to great Yountville restaurants
Review 75:The location in the town
Review 76:Appalling breakfast
Review 77:King size bed and pillow selection Big bathroom with lighting and vanity mirror

Review 79:Breakfast/self service. Would prefer cooked breakfast.
Review 80:Setting, comfort of room, view from room to garden/courtyard, helpful staff, delicious breakfast, wine tasting.
Review 81:Traffic noise from
Review 82:Only complaint would be our room (#l) was dark and felt a little "confining" looking out at the bocce court and wall.
Review 83:The location made it easy to walk to everything in Yountville. And the free breakfast was great
Review 84:Had a leaky faucet

Review 97:Everything!
Review 98:this is by far the best place we stayed at, the staff was perfect
