Reviews for Tanque Verde Guest Ranch
Review 1:Nothing
Review 2:The horses are what it is about and we enjoyed some lovely rides. They are well looked after and extremely calm and well trained for beginners. After the horses, the staff were out of this world. You can tell that customer service is a priority but all of the staff seemed very sincere and would say howdy and ask if we were OK every time we met. This is the only place I have ever stayed who asked if we had any dietary requirements. We don't eat dairy and that is odd in the USA. At breakfast we found labels directing us to "no dairy" and we had plenty to eat.
Review 3:The restaurant - very bad experience. Almost 60$ US for a plate of overcooked meatloaf and a plate of chili that was barely OK, with 2 glasses of water... We were flabbergasted!
Review 4:The site is gorgeous!
Review 5:Didn't have any dislikes.
Review 6:Location was excellent. Rooms were beautifully furnished in southwestern decor. Staff was very friendly and attentive to detail.
Review 7:Because we did not have an all inclusive package, we had to pay for meals which is understandable. One evening all we had was a burger and a chicken sandwich and were charged $74.27 (just over £48). When we queried this on checking out we where virtually dismissed by the young man on reception with nothing resolved.
Review 8:The location is superb.
Review 9:The on-site food services are overpriced for the fare offered. Although our room/suite had a coffee maker and refrigerator, there was no microwave.
Review 10:The quiet, natural setting and location away from town are calming. There are numerous trails for walking and the pool facility is quite nice.
Review 11:I loved everything about this place! The food was excellent, the staff was friendly and very helpful, and the activities were very enjoyable, especially the riding. The Mountain Adventure ride was great. The horses are well cared for and are surprisingly responsive if you have some riding experience.
Review 12:We should have stayed longer.
Review 13:This ranch offers an exceptional array of activities. Participate in them, or not, you could spend days just getting to know the place. The staff and service are excellent. And the setting is magical.
Review 14:The front desk staff were inexperienced and either didn't have information or gave wrong information. It happened several times and was very frustrating.
Review 15:Comfortable rooms/beds Excellent meals Other staff specific to activities were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly
Review 16:The radio receiver in our room did not work at all. No way to get some relaxing music.
Review 17:The bartender made a super prickly pear margarita. He and also another staff were very fun to chat with. The food served at the restaurant was excellent.
Review 18:Misrepresented package on line by Booking.com. Night BBQ not worth cost. Woken up by staff at 8 A. M. Room was dirty upon arrival. Best part was bar and staff.
Review 19:Cooked to order breakfast items were only ok. I understand there is an update-remodel planned and would recommend ceiling fans above the beds in the rooms.
Review 20:I loved the food served at dinner. Rooms are large and clean. grounds are beautifully kept. pool is super clean with nice chairs and umbrellas. Breakfast buffet was great Saloon was really fund, bartenders very personable.
Review 21:Only had 2 days to spend.
Review 22:The ranch has an authentic atmosphere of an earlier period of history. Quiet and paced for relaxing. Guests are friendly, conversing willingly
Review 23:Privacy respected, plenty to do if you wanted. Beautiful scenery, wildlife and walks if you didn't
Review 24:There were tons of mosquitoes and flies in the room when we got there. I also noticed dead bugs on the ceiling of the room.
Review 25:Loved the on site mountain biking. Make your own trail mix a big hit. Tasty dining options for both dinner and breakfast.
Review 26:I would like to have a nature walk during the day/eve
Review 27:we had a great time - it is soooo quiet there
Review 28:Smelly room
Review 29:Almost everything! Good hiking, great activities, great staff, decor and incredible desert views with corresponding quiet.
Review 30:No tv in the room
Review 31:Wranglers were excellent! We loved Andy and Maddie!
Review 32:Quiet and relaxing which is exactly what we needed
Review 33:Gorgeous desert location,
Review 34:Thought your wranglers were exceptional and our stay was wonderful!
Review 35:The meals were a little over-priced.
Review 36:The trailrides. The horses were well-mannered and cared for and the wranglers were respectful of our riding skills.
Review 37:Maybe a few more lights so getting to your cabin is a little easier.
Review 38:The view from our patio was fantastic. We watched deer grazing, saw roadrunners and coyote. The kids loved the horses and the people who were in charge of them were terrific. The food was good and the rooms clean.
Review 39:The Dinner was very bad and too expensive for what it was. Neither of us liked it.
Review 40:The room we got was excellent. Fine Beds, clean, cold frig. and water bottles. Lovely view, lounge chairs
Review 41:We are not buffet people so a separate dining option would have been nice. Food was ok for the price, dinner was a bit expensive at $35 per person. The dining staff seemed a bit confused on how to handle payment for those that didn't have the all inclusive package - a bit awkward.
Review 42:Location was excellent as was the atmosphere. Front desk person was very helpful, bar staff was friendly and fun. We also enjoyed the fruit and pastries that was available throughout the day. Pool was also nice, especially in the days of 100+ degrees.
Review 43:Having to pay extra for the compulsory lope test for the more experienced rider. It made it very expensive for 3 people.
Review 44:Loved the riding among the Sagura cactus, the cookout, the friendly staff and the quiet away from the city.
Review 45:Nothing.
Review 46:The staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. There was no pressure to join in with the activities but, if you chose to, lots of help and support was available.
Review 47:I was not aware that TVs are not provided in the guest rooms. Food anddrinks were overpriced. If you don't have your own car, there are noother options nearby.
Review 48:Location was great with beautiful scenery. Rooms were large, comfortableand clean. Loved the fireplace in the room. I only stayed for 1 night soI didn't get a chance to participate in any of the activities, suchas horseback riding. Took a hike through adjacent Saguaro Park.
Review 49:We found the website somewhat confusing and not very descriptiveregarding the price difference with/without food.
Review 50:The people, setting, food and atmosphere were phenomenal!
Review 51:This was my first experience at a dude ranch and everything was perfect! Tons of horses and activities, very kid-friendly, meals were great... We especially loved the cowboy cookout! I will definitely be back and stay longer than a weekend
Review 52:I liked all the things the Ranch was offering to do. The spacious bedroom with a fabulous fireplace. The saturday night BBQ with live music.
Review 53:We spent 3 very relaxing, peaceful days at this outstanding resort
Review 54:Nothing!
Review 55:Everything!
Review 56:Laid back
Review 57:No wheel chair access. Although microwave was stated in room on our reservation, none was present and none was available for our stay.
Review 58:Friendly Staff, Family Atmosphere, Very nice location in a natural desert park
