Review 2：My stay was fantastic. Christine and Clive make you feel at home. The rooms are very nice and spacious. Christine makes sure to keep the rooms spotless. They have two adorable dogs. My stay was 10 out of 10. I will go back definitely.

Review 4：Christine and Clive are definitely a wonderful couple with a wonderful hospitality. Waking up in the morning with the singing of birds and knowing that you are in Johannesburg is just amazing! We felt like kings when Christine served our breakfast. So tasteful and complete. The house is located 10 minutes from the airport. It is like staying at your mum's place!

Review 5：all fine under the conditions you need a stopover night at Tambo, however pickup service is 200 R one way.

Review 6：Clean, nicely decorated rooms, a nice bar hut, separately, a calm area not that far from the airport, good for stopover night if you need to change the flight in Tambo. Pick up is offered for 200 R each tour, if managed by Guesthouse.

Review 7：Christine the proprietor and the Husband are a wonderful couple very friendly . I enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to recommend the facility. The breakfast is very good and the rooms are excellent. The internet connectivity is also very fast. Avon is like a home away where you are made to feel comfortable. Thank you Clive and Christine. I was amazed at their energy despite being very elderly. You inspired us a lot and I look forward to coming back to Avon.

Review 9：Christine was very nice and took care of almost everything that we needed. The free space outside the rooms were very good and added quite positively to our stay. Also, even if we needed to check out early, she prepared good breakfast. Overall, I would recommend it to other people.

Review 12：Chris and Clive so warm, welcoming!!! Enjoyed their company and the facilities were just fantastic, could not be better. Would recommend without hesitation. So close to the airport, but we were lights out and the noise of the planes did not bother us at all.

Review 16：Elegantly decorated rooms using strong African theme, but space was tight. Large king-sized bed filled the room, and shelves housed decorative items which detracted from their usefulness. Attractive garden, pool area and “club house.” Good breakfast. Unfortunately, owners were not present the night we stayed and we had some problems communicating with the maid regarding restaurants and getting to the airport. In fact, restaurants are easy to find if you go back down Avon road, turn right at the bottom and stay on that road as it curves to the left and crosses over the main highway. The same route gets you to the airport. Also, don’t be put off by the overly complex direction provided on the web site for finding this place. It’s much easier than it sounds. Look at Google map!

We felt completely looked after during our short stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. I highly recommend staying at the Avon Road Guest House - I can't believe you could find anything better in Johannesburg.

Review 26：Wonderful guesthouse. Christina and Clive welcomed us as old friends. We were unable to locate our luggage and Clive came to our rescue; it was quite an adventure! There is a wonderful pub area where one might enjoy an evening drink or opt to sit quietly by the pool. The rooms are spacious, well decorated and very clean. Last but certainly not least, a healthy and plentiful breakfast is waiting for you in the morning. I would not hesitate to recommend Avon House!

Review 28：Tthe owners welcomed us as they would a family. We were most comfortable in a room that was modern,clean, as well as having amenities. We had to be at the airport early in the morning and was provided not only with a lovely breakfast but also a snack for the plane. Many thanks to Christine an Clive!

Too much strong air-parfume-spraymachine at the room (sweetvanilla). Landing corridor-high noise from runway (distance 300 metersfrom runway) Less of privacy-You can be watched from the garden whereist at the evening the check-in point for the guests. Price about 61euros per night and person is too much for this kind of accommodation.You will be charged for full amount for accommodation before you comeand before you will see the conditions of accomodation.
