Reviews for Pechanga Resort and Casino
Review 1:For the first 2 days of my 4 day stay at the resort there was very loud construction that started at 7:00 am and continued throughout the day. The construction woke my wife and I up at 7:00 am after not getting to bed at 3:00 am. It also prevented us from taking naps in the afternoon in preparation for late hours of gambling and entertainment. I complained both days of the loud and intolerable noise to a front desk employee who was very sorry and said there was nothing she could do to help me. She said that we should have been told of the noise when we checked in. I told her that I was originally scheduled to stay on the 10th floor by the desk person as requested in my initial reservation. He said there was some construction taking place on the 10th floor and he could put me in a room on the 5th floor that would not be noisy. I told him that was "OK" with me because I did want to be disturbed by the noise. ON the second day I asked to talk to the manager and was connected to a lady who told me she was the manager. During our conversation she told me they could not do anything to stop the the noise because it was up to the construction company. She then told me she was sorry and would give me an upgrade to a suite for my future stays at the resort and she would eliminate the room rate for the first two days of our stay because we could not sleep. However, when we checked out of the resort there was no mention of the upgrade or eliminating the room rate for the first two days. When I checked out I simply paid my bill and left. However, when I got home I thought about the noise and how much it negatively impacted my stay and vacation at the resort and decided to mention my concerns in this survey.
Review 2:Very nice and well kept facilities with great people
Review 3:I miss out playing golf rain no shows event schdule.
Review 4:The vailet service the comfortable room and buffet, bars and mountain view casino on the property.a great weekday getaway❗
Review 5:Confused as had not been billed thru Booking.com but billed by resort. Asked for adjoining rooms that did not happen. Very crowded as Military Ball perhaps if I had known would have picked another date. For price of room including breakfast would have been nice and this was a Thursday night and rates are supposedly better during the week
Review 6:Convenience as resort near freeway. Had a good meal . The guy at desk very patient had booked 2 rooms but not both under my name. The check in line moved quickly.
Review 7:Bathroom smelled like sewer through vent. No warning that construction would have begun on our floor at 7:30 am. Jackhammering at that time and expect us to gamble into the night before?
Review 8:Convenience of travel and location to rèstaurants and shopping. Room was nice except for smell.
Review 9:Not a thing. Everything was totally awesome.
Review 10:The 1st impression is the last impression which was the best... Thank you for making my mother's birthday totally none forgettable....
Review 11:The staff during check-in was tricky i requested to check out at 4pm but he said i can only give you the least is 2pm.then i accepted it.and he said i will set it up for you.the following day i i checked my account on tv checked out he did is 12nn.if i didnt check my account they could charged us for another half day. rate.anyway the place is very nice.thats fine maybe next time it should be in writing.
Review 12:The facilities
Review 13:I wish it were closer to Las Vegas
Review 14:We went to San Diego Zoo Pechanga was perfect location for that The staff was great and very helpful Food was available 24 hours
Review 15:Spa facilities - need better options for non treatment appointments (only steam room avaiable) More massage options. Seasonal pool, would have enjoyed the option of an indoor pool. More TV channels needed
Review 16:Convenient parking Room service Check out option Restaurants choices
Review 17:Upgraded to a suite. It was fantastic. Dinner in the Great Oak Steakhouse was delicious. Golf on the Journey was a real pleasure. A great place to get away for a couple days!
Review 18:Pool closes too early. Keys to my suite didn't work most of time. Rude receptionists and stupid manager
Review 19:Nothing. Not coming back. I'm telling all my friends and writing a negative review in the paper
Review 20:I was attending a notary summary and came down the night before. When I arrived, I was told I had been upgraded to a jacuzzi suite. It was fantastic and the view from the room was spectacular. Thanks for a lovely stay. And the slots were pretty loose too.
Review 21:Our original room was right near the elevator. We asked to be changed and we were put below the dance bar. We literally heard non stop banging until two in the morning. We also ate at the buffet, and although there were a lot of choices, nothing was healthy and the food was not great.
Review 22:Unfortunately our Birthday trip was not as enjoyable as we had hoped. For a 4 star Resort we expected much more. We started off our stay with a wine tour booked by the Concierges that was way over priced for what we actually received. I paid $149.00 for a tour that was supposed to include a gourmet picnic lunch with champagne. Turns out the picnic was actually sandwiches from Panera at one of the wineries we visited that had signs all over the place stating no outside food. Also we had to use our wine tasting tickets so that we had something to drink with our sandwiches.I do enjoy Panera, but not in a situation like this. I double checked on line and they advertise the same tour on the web site for $99 a person. We arrived back to the hotel and checked into our room on the 9th floor it was nice, but upon our return from a horrible dining experience in the resort restaurant Pizzanos where my sister was yelled at by our waitress who insisted that she ordered Chicken Marsala not Veal Picata we found that we could here the nigh club. The music was so loud that when I called the front desk to make other arraignments they could hardly hear me. They did help us move rooms in the middle of the night to a lower floor. Normally something small like this would not have been too big of an issue. The problem we had was that upon check in we were told that the higher floors might experience "some" noise from the night club above. So we requested a room on the lower floor because we were getting up early to head out to horse back riding. We were told that we would not be bothered by the night club on the 9th floor. We were moved to sub standard room with broken door knobs and lesser amenities than we had in our previous room. On our second night I was kept awake most of the night by a howling dog in one of the adjacent rooms. The front desk told me that they were unable to compensate us for all of the mishaps because we had used Booking.com to make our reservation.
Review 23:We had terrible service at the café from everyone who interacted with us. Very uncaring and very slow. Our upgraded room had a queen instead of our original king deluxe room- wish we had been told- we would have said NO THANKS! The valet never said hello or welcome- just wanted our name.
Review 24:Our bellhop Roly was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. We were knocked out by him. Susan, who gave us our player's cards, was friendly and helpful.
Review 25:Wifi had some real issues 30 cents. Black and white copy is pretty out of line especially for guests of the hotel We weren't told God course closed for reseeding when we booked!!
Review 26:many exceptional staff
Review 27:The food court: horrible and low quality food: dry, and very little to choose from. The free drinks in the casino was extremely poor. Did not include well drinks or beer. I tipped my hostess well even though I had to pay for my drinks.
Review 28:The easy access to information. The casual, no rush, no crowd environment. It was not surrounded by slot machines. It was all in one area. The comp. drinks in casino was extremely limited: no well drinks or beer. I'm used to Vegas style :(
Review 29:Great getaway close to home. Awesome staff that upgraded us to a suite to celebrate our anniversary. We will be coming back to Pechanga very soon! (Spa day for the Mrs and a golf outing for me)
Review 30:Suite smelled like cigarette
Review 31:I was up graded to a suite same price which was nice because they had no non smoking room king size bed the only thing didn't like room smelled like smoke
Review 32:The WiFi wasn't that great. Had some challenges using my tablet.
Review 33:Well the first room I checked in to smell like smoke so I called down to the office front desk and they changed my room and location and I got a better room with a better view.
Review 34:At 2pm we checked-in and the staff informed us that we are receiving acomplimentary suite upgrade and would call us when the room isavailable. At 5:30pm we went back to check-in after not hearing fromthem and they proceeded to tell us that the guests in the suite decidedto stay and that we were being demoted to a room lesser than theoriginal booking. This trip was for my mom's 84th birthday which bythe way we had to keep her comfortable for the 3.5 hours of waiting forthe room. Some remarks from the staff: "Check-in 'starts'at 4, we don't promise you that is when you can check in." and"We can offer you a roll away bed, if you like" (this one wasafter they tried demoting us - there are 3 of us and had 2 queen beds onour original booking). Needless to say I was in tears... Oh did Imention that my mom is to start chemotherapy next week and this wasintended to be a relaxing "escape" prior to the week to come. After 2 bouncer like hotel managers came to "deal with me", noless to more intimidate me than anything, they found a suite which waslovely. But, overall worst treatment from a hotel ever.
Review 35:The casino had half of it's slot machines inoperative the following day when I wished to spend the day gambling. I can't help but think that the super rate I got for the one nights stay was because of them knowing that half of the slot machines would not be working.
Review 36:A nice room, comfortable bed and nice surroundings.
Review 37:The only complaints we have are the beds are not that comfortable... Pool is a little small for such a big resort, but we did hear that they will be renovating and improving the pool area which will be great!!!
Review 38:Everyone was very friendly and willing to help you with any questions you may have. Very clean and nice atmosphere. We will be back soon!!!
Review 39:I thought the nightly stay was too expensive. Also, the games in the casino were lacking the more interactive ones that you find in Las Vegas i.e. Monopoly, Ghostbusters, wizard of Oz. The best one you had at Pechanga was (I think) Pharohs fortune or Scarabs fortune.
Review 40:The staff was excellent and very friendly. The rooms were clean and nice but I expected more for the price. The location was great for us coming from San Diego - far enough that we felt we "got away" but very do-able. My husband played golf and really enjoyed it ("9" on a scale of 1-10 with 10 the best). He said the practice facilities are the best in San Diego County.
Review 41:The bathroom didn't have a fan. And the room didn't have enough trash cans.
Review 42:The staff the slots had fun. The food was good. Won some money and lost some.
Review 43:Requested to have champagne for anniversary upon arrival...even though they received memo they failed to execute. Upon checking in I asked when was the latest I could extend stay. They communicated by 10am next day, BUT the next morning when I asked to extend for one more night our room was no longer available and they had no other rooms to accommodate us with.
Review 44:Staff was pleasant Complimentary upgrade to suite for our anniversary Good restaurants
Review 45:Sportsbook area was closed and we wanted to watch the women's soccer there. Ended up watching in the central bar but not the same.
Review 46:The Bingo parlor is beautiful. Food at Bamboo was very good. Drinks at Umo also really good.
Review 47:Some of the employees were unprofessional rude and should be fired, but Most were very friendly and made us feel welcome.
Review 48:upgraded us to a suite at no cost!
Review 49:I submited the printout of my reservation but the staff did not check me and my wife's name printed in paper and even manage just said they cannot find not reservation record late night at 10pm!!!! We, family fo 4, were shocked but later when I was about to leave the hotel one staff came to me and found the record of reservation
Review 50:security was good! many choices fo good restautant.
Review 51:Can't think of anything
Review 52:The food at your restaurants was great, we eat at the café and Great Oaks stake house. All so good. The spa was wonderful. the ladies took care of my family and made us all feel like Queens.
Review 53:I want with my husband to celebration birthdays. Mine is April 19 and his is april20. The staff was amazing and they upgraded us to a jacuzzi suite! Will come back again next year!
Review 54:Polite staff! Good variety of food places. I loved the Bingo Hall but I am partial because I won $500 ! Very comfortable bed. This was my second visit and I will definitely return
Review 55:The hotel room was spacious and comfortable. We were expecting to notice smoke in the hallways and elevator but were pleasantly surprised. We are at four of the restaurants in the casino and had great meals at all.
Review 56:Most of the staff didn't seem to know anything about the resort. It took a long time to get an answer for seemingly easy questions.
Review 57:Comfortable room that was quite large for 4 people to stay in.
Review 58:The casino doesn't have many "penny machines" but you can find something to play.
Review 59:It's a nice casino and has a few bars spaced around the floor. Seemed to have many staff members on the floor. It was nice to have a security person at the elevators greeting you.
Review 60:I did not like the beds and the pool area way to small and pool is not inviting atomsphere way to small needs much improvement with soft music and decor
Review 61:the friendly people and loved our golf experience and there resturant
Review 62:Not a bad thing to say!!!
Review 63:We loved our room. It was so clean and pristine. Fabulous! The food in both the Buffet and Umi Sushi and Oyster Bar were wonderful. The people are superb and sooo friendly! Simply, a fantastic experience!!!
Review 64:Booked a room with 2 queen beds but included a request for a king bed if possible. We were upgraded to an exquisite suite! It was midweek but I did mention that it was my sweetie's birthday. The whole experience was fabulous.
Review 65:The staff at Pechanga is the best, and that's important to me. They're professional, friendly, and so helpful with everything, top-notch! Pechanga itself is a beautiful resort.
Review 66:The room had an annoying sound at the door from the a/c making a whistling sound Also , the lobster at the steakhouse was terrible. Australian lobster was overpriced and tasteless..
Review 67:Décor , nice upgrade , room was very nice [ with one exception ]
Review 68:It was a little expensive, especially the meals, & we were hoping to make this an annual event. It would be nice to have some literature as to what there is to do in the area.
Review 69:We had an excellent view, a very comfortable bed & pillows,& a very clean room.
Review 70:Overpriced! The reservations staff would not work with our committee on blocking a number of rooms for a decent price. As a result many booked elsewhere. Only reason my husband and I booked there was because I was on the committee and felt the need to stay close and we got a deal through booking.com. I will not stay there without some type of discount. Also we ate at the buffet for dinner, but the food was just OK. Not near what it was for the class reunion.
Review 71:Was there for a class reunion on the 13th floor. Food and staff was great. I would recommend this venue for a celebration. We enjoyed our room, but could smell cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room.
Review 72:We loved how the hotel really took care of us for our 15 year anniversary. We received a complimentary upgrade to a King suite. Then had some really delicious and fresh sushi at their new restaurant. And, to top it all off we won $1k on slots. What an awesome night!
Review 73:Prices are too highy for the foods and rooms. We ate at the buffet, but we didn'the like it comparing to Pala casino buffet, Pala buffet still the best I ever had.. The slots machines don't give which mean I never won to any slots machine.
Review 74:Nice, .clean, comfortable room Friendly and nice employees Easy access at the freeway
Review 75:I only lost a few dollars...:-(
Review 76:Unexpectedly, we got an upgrade to a suite. It was one of the best suites I have ever stayed in. Our stay was wonderful. All the staff was very kind and helpful.
Review 77:The slots where the worst I've played at for payouts. I understand it's luck, but never this bad. Which reflects on wanting to return to this Casino. Sorry.
Review 78:Comfort of room
Review 79:Dust in our room.
Review 80:Excellent service, food was outstanding, staff was very friendly and outstandingly efficient. In our opinion a great place to spend a few days.
Review 81:I liked the doubble queen rpom, spatious and clean. The swimming pool area in the morning. The salsa dance on Wednesday eve. Convenient location, close to downtown and tasting shops.
Review 82:They made us wait 45minutes for our room that was not ready. There was no where to sit (only a few taken seats in the lobby area). We had to stand for 45minutes in the lobby with our luggage until our rooms were cleared by a housekeeping supervisor. We had pre-checked in the morning to avoid such an incident. We returned at 4pm (1 hour after they told us check time was). We were never offered water, upgrade or anything to compensate for this incident.
Review 83:Cleanliness and friendly staff.
Review 84:Too expensive, wanted to treat my mom for a night there. So we gave her 1 night = she was thrilled. She does not drink but the rest of the family did. We got her coffee from the bar - at $ 1.50 a cup no refills - water $$$$, moved the soda can in her room to make room for some water for her and I was going to be charged $ 34.00 for 2 sodas! REALLY??? You make plenty of money with the casino- won't be back ,will take her to the AVI or VEGAS coffee is free. Thank you for your hospitality
Review 85:The place was beautiful. The staff friendly. Too pricey, and I mean you stock your fridge with stuff, and if we move your stuff we are charged. REALLY- we couldn't even place water or our own sodas (Diet Pepsi) in there. Not happy with that.
