Reviews for Beaver Village Lodge

Review 1:Barking dogs, did not replace used towels left on the floor. No way to keep food & drinks cold. No information about the lodge's amenities. One usable electric outlet in the room.

Review 2:Price

Review 3:there was no one there when we tried to check in- found our key in the mailbox. no lights worked in our room so hubbie had to take the hall lights out to use them, no ac so we opened the window, which was at knee level- scary when you have little kids and are on the 2nd floor, the whole place has not been kept up and was so musty, probably haunted. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Review 4:nice view out the window, tv actually worked after 10 minutes of booting up

Review 5:the walls were thin so we could here guests on both sides very clearly and it sounded like up stairs was stomp dancing for a while but the room was clean and had everything we needed so no complaints

Review 6:We were traveling with an elderly person who was not feeling well. We were allowed to stay past the check in time so he could rest. Greatly appreciated.

Review 7:If an investor came in and updated everything, the place would be a treasure to behold.

Review 8:It was very quiet and the welcoming staff did a great job of pointing out the history of the lodge. I grew up seeing this lodge and we could never "afford" to stay there.

Review 9:It's an older hotel, and the rooms are very tiny. No room to moveand we had a "double room". Made it extremely uncomfortable.Doors to adjoining rooms have gaps in them and walls are thin so you caneven hear people whispering in the next room until 4am. Parties withyoung kids take over the 1st floor game area much of the time with lotsof boozing so we didn't get to use the amenities much.

Review 10:The location was great. The buffet breakfast was also really nice. Iliked the character of the building. Staff was really nice.

Review 11:The parking area is unpaved. The room door is not much more than plywood and does not reach the floor. Consequently, any noise in the hall is readily audible. This would not be too bad, but each of two nights I was awakened by hall traffic between 2:00 to 3:00 am. There is only a door knob lock on the door, no dead bolt or security chain.

Review 12:The price was reasonable. The bed was comfortable.

Review 13:- No elevator, my father is 81 years old had to stay in room until next morning unable to climb stairs. - We had 4 adults and 2 kids request 2 rooms was not aware we would be sharing a bathroom and unable to lock bathroom doors when using bathroom.

Review 14:The rate.

Review 15:I bet the place was nice about 50 years ago. Very dated is an understatement. Doors stuck, floors creaked, paper thin walls. No clock in the room. Staff didn't even show up on time for check out on Sunday, huge pile of room keys on the front counter. We waited an hour past the 10:00 am check out time, still no staff.

Review 16:We only needed a place for one night, not a horrible place....not the best either. Clean beds.

Review 17:Old room, very basic tight quarters. minimal outlets, extension cords that rubbed against curtains, long delay in getting hot water.

Review 18:Price/value esp. For Winter Park Location Common assets have old-school charm

Review 19:Excessive creaking floors- I would have liked to know if I was disturbing others. No screens on the windows. No AC... which was ok this trip because it was cool enough with the windows open.

Review 20:The bed was super comfy! The view was superb! Super clean and met all basic needs!

Review 21:The "Lodge" had an unpleasant odor from the moment we walked in, room 22 had bird poop on the outside of the window. Through the poop we had a lovely view of a dirty pond. No A/C for summer months. Another guest and her mother asked us how to work the air conditioner - Sorry folks, it's not gonna happen. The carpets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years, I refused to take my shoes off in the room and only slept on top of the sheet. Had to pay to play billiards. No coffee in the morning, even though there was a pot available in the "common" area. We will be back to Winter but, definitely would not recommend the Beaver Lodge.

Review 22:Walking distance to Hideaway Park was the ONLY good thing.

Review 23:Needs updated. The carpet was dirty with stains everywhere. Peeling paint. Glad I paid $50.

Review 24:The location was convenient. We played pool and relaxed in the game room.

Review 25:Oops. Combined review above

Review 26:Room fine for price. Only staff I met was desk person who was pleasant and helpful. It was the off season. However no cups in room and had to ask twice before this happened. No cups or water or utensils at the microwave / coffee pot area. Breakfast not included with the off season rate which was fine but would have liked to be able to have a few basics as noted available. Safety feature I noted was that the bath mat realllly slipped when one stepped out of tub and was a fall hazard. Alarm on clock didn't work but click did. Overall it met my needs fine

Review 27:the room had no table or chairs to sit on just a bed and nightstand

Review 28:hot tub were really hot rustic feel of the lodge solid wood beams old timey feel the free breakfast buffet was excellent free bacon eggs etc made fresh by cook full ski shop inside overnight tuning

Review 29:Pretty much everything about the place

Review 30:Just the location

Review 31:The overall dirtiness of the place

Review 32:The breakfast every morning!

Review 33:the lodge rooms are old

Review 34:Condos are nice

Review 35:Maintenance guy needs to be fired

Review 36:A little dated and no restaurant
