Reviews for Agustin Inn
Review 1:The entire staff were amazing! However, special thanks to Gordon and Lestarie for making a special night so memorable. Breakfast was delicious. Overall, great experience!
Review 2:Everything was perfect
Review 3:The staff was so wonderful. We asked for recommendations and they were so happy to help us plan our adventures. They were even nice enough to just sit and talk to us, as if we were the only ones there. They offered us champagne and always had free snacks! One of the best parts was truly just sitting out on the deck and relaxing together as a couple. It was so peaceful and easy. The staff came out to make sure we were happy and if we wanted anything. They brought us drinks and even offered to take our photo for us while we sat outside. Breakfast was wonderful, we really enjoyed drinking hot cocoa at our private table for two. The location was so perfect! It's located in the middle of everything but still so quietly tucked away. We were steps away from the fort and oldest school house, but from the inn it was quiet as if we were miles away, such a great location!! Such a wonderful trip!
Review 4:Sharon, the manager added greatly to our stay. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special. Wonderful staff also...... The breakfasts were quite special....not only delicious, but beautifully presented. We will definitely be back!
Review 5:No Red Velvet waffles Outside staircase to room
Review 6:Confidence to walk about St. George Street Extremely friendly staff Enjoyed talking to the owner Dorene
Review 7:Check-in was slow (over 1 hr), room was tiny (1/2 was slopes roof and I couldn't stand up in the shower), and needed maintenance.
Review 8:Food was good and staff was friendly.
Review 9:Not a thing!
Review 10:The property has been totally renovated and they did an excellent job. The staff is s very helpful and friendly. Nice location in the heart of the Historic district yet not a noisy area at all. The food was surprisingly excellent being Gourmet which we did not expect. Love the building and accommodations. Beds are to die for! You will definitely love this B&B.
Review 11:Great location, friendly staff, comfortable bed and clean. Coffee/tea bar available 24hrs with tasty treats. Delicious breakfast. Chef was accommodating to my dietary issues.
Review 12:I've been here numerous times. Absolutely love staying here! The breakfasts are amazing, the building is a beautiful antique in of itself! Nevermind the location! The second I leave I can't wait to come back...
Review 13:The people in room next door had a dog in a crate that barked till they returned around midnight. Contacted inn owner and she took care of it.
Review 14:Room was great and breakfast wonderful.
Review 15:One of the two rooms we booked was a bit smaller than the other, so it made it a bit awkward for us to choose who was going to take the larger room. Not a big deal after we unpacked and experienced the wonderful time we had together
Review 16:Incredible staff, food and location!
Review 17:Bedside lamp did not work..unable to turn off other bedside lamp..had to unplug it..spa tub worked well, but finish on the tub old and needed repair. Breakfasts were good, but not great.
Review 18:Location, free parking, friendly staff, nice tv, comfortable king mattress
Review 19:Parking is free but can be a little tricky. I will definitely not drive my full size crew cab truck next time, a lot of narrow one way streets and tight corners but once we parked didn't have to move again until we left as everything is within walking distance of the Inn.
Review 20:The Staff was amazing, everyone you meet from the time you walk in the door until the day you check out make you feel as comfortable as if you were at home. The breakfast was delicious.
Review 21:One of the things that would round out the breakfast menu would be add turkey products in addition to the pork. The food was great!
Review 22:Everyone was very helpful and accommodating.
Review 23:Cannot point to anything I did not like...
Review 24:Everything about the place spells comfort...Cant say enough good things about the staff, food, etc! Charlene has the perfect personality and skills set for providing outstanding customer service. We'll be back!
Review 25:The staff was amazing. They were sweet and friendly. The home cooked breakfasts were to die for and there we always fresh baked snacks and treats in the lobby. The rooms were beautiful and clean. We had an wonderful stay.
Review 26:We had to go home !
Review 27:The entire Staff made us feel like were family. Very acomidating for my special needs. The breakfast was fantastic taste, quality and presentation was of a 5 star hotel.
Review 28:The occasional live music from the restaurant next door during the day could be heard from our room. Parking was hard to find the first night but the staff was very helpful in the whole checkin process
Review 29:The staff here made us feel like family- they were so personable and helpful. They gave us great recommendations for places to visit and eat. The rooms were cozy and beautifully decorated. Breakfast here is AMAZING.
Review 30:Great location, staff, breakfast and value for the money. So great to park the car for the weekend and walk everywhere. Bed was super comfy and Inn was so quaint and quiet, recommend!
Review 31:Top floor room was freezing but I'd rather be cold than too hot! The parking lot was a walk away not too far but can be an inconvenience.
Review 32:The breakfast was amazing and staff was wonderful
Review 33:Absolutely nothing to complain about - the visit could not have been more delightful. While there was no on-site parking, the lot was nearby and free.
Review 34:The location was perfect for exploring St. Augustine on foot. The breakfasts each day were amazing - among the best we've ever had when traveling. From the check-in experience with Charlene (who generously shared with us her favorite places to visit and restaurants she would recommend) to the breakfasts prepared by Darlene, the rest of the friendly staff, and the infused cold water and tea that was always available in the reception area, it was a wonderful experience and we will return to the Augustine Inn again in the near future.
Review 35:First time at a Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were comfortable and homey. Breakfast was gourmet and the service was top notch. Located at the center of all the fun and all within walking distance.
Review 36:Absolutely loved my breakfast! I'm now trying to recreate the breakfast I had from the parfait to the southwestern eggs and pineapple salsa with sausage. The room was tiny but just right for one night. We will be going back and for longer next time!
Review 37:Marked down a little because our room which was the smallest and cheapest in the house, did not have a separate en suite as such. The bath was part of bedroom and toilet was screened by curtain, not ideal but did not cause us oldies any distress. Other rooms in the house were better appointed.
Review 38:Comfortable, quirky, boutique,American bed and breakfast. Each bedroom was decorated in colonial style with antique furniture and plush bedding Situated right in centre of the city tourist quarter with lots of bars resteraunts nearby. Really nicely prepared and served breakfast. Great staff.. Very clean.
Review 39:Be sure you want to be in the "thick of it all" because the Augustin Inn is within a block of all the "touristy" hustle, bustle, and noise. This isn't a negative, just information. One thing is certain, you will have a great time at this inn!
Review 40:The Augustin Inn is right in the middle of the "Olde Towne" of St. Augustine, and it is a very professional, very quaint, and very accommodating place! It is a true pleasure to be able to call/check in/go explore or even just relax with such ease and even help, when needed. I have had some "less than stellar" Bed & Breakfast experiences in the past, and it was a great relief to share this experience with my wife.
Review 41:Might have had some extra spiritual guests in our room. But it was st augustine and made it a memorable experience!
Review 42:Amazing bath tub, perfect location, great staff and delicious cuisine.
Review 43:My partner and I enjoyed two nights at the Agustin Inn. We were welcomed by two young ladies who assisted with our bags. They accommodated our every desire. I am a vegetarian and the chef made sure my diet was adhered to. Upon checking out, the owner introduced herself and welcomed us to come again. The daily breakfast was tasty and fresh, we had eggs Benedict on Saturday and cinnamon pancakes topped with white chocolate creme and a homemade strawberry and blueberry compote. Throughout the afternoon there were fresh, homemade pizza bites, flavored water, cookies and desserts to hold us over until dinner. We didn't spend too much on food, as we were completely stuffed from the breakfast and treats at Agustin Inn. I was thrilled that there was FREE parking, FREE wifi and several other freebies at Agustin Inn.
Review 44:I have no complaints. The rooms were nice. The staff and services were amazing couldn't ask for a more perfect weekend. Also the best breakfast I have ever had!
Review 45:If I had to say anything that I didn't like it would be no step stool for the jacuzzi tub I am short and had to be careful getting in and out, and having pitchers of ice water to rehydrate Available to take to the room. All minor details.
Review 46:The location of this place was the best! We were able to get every place we wanted to go on foot. Short distance to shopping St. George's street the Castillo and the fountain of youth. We even walked from the light house back to the inn. It was so nice to be able to explore on foot, and our car was fine the whole time.
Review 47:it was our anniversary and nothing was done, nor flowers or a box of chocolates or a little detail.i don't think they pay attention to details. For the price they should've include a trolley tour or something simple like a treat to to an ice cream place or like gift card for kilwins asking guest what they like and get a simple detail for the occasion
Review 48:The closeness of st George street
Review 49:AC on the 2nd floor did not stay set. It got a bit warm on 2 occasions but I was able to adjust the thermostat which fixed the problem.
Review 50:Staff and facilities
Review 51:Unexpected beautiful breakfasts, the bedrooms & especially the beds are extremely comfortable. The owner and the staff were very nice and helpful.
Review 52:Not space enough for the luggage in the room at second floor. VERY poor breakfast!!
Review 53:We like the wonderful old house, the nice decorated rooms and the location in the old town
Review 54:My room was right next to the restaurant and bar and the music went until 10:00 PM Sunday night. The bad news was that the band was just awful; the good news was they stopped. The Agustin Inn unfortunately is next to this restaurant. Monday they stopped much earlier.
Review 55:The Inn is absolutely wonderful! Quaint, lovely atmosphere, right in the center of historic St. Augustine. Set among beautiful trees, inviting. The staff was spectacular, especially Melinda. They need to bottle and sell her energy and enthusiasm. Top all of this will the biggest surprise ... breakfast! Gourmet. Sunday Morning starter is cantaloupe soup followed by red velvet waffle! I am returning in four months because it was so perfect! Thank you everyone for making my stay so special.
Review 56:The room was beautiful (buckingham), prime location within feet from St George st., but the icing on the cake was how friendly and accommodating the staff was.
Review 57:Not bad, just not what we are accustomed to. The air conditioning in our handicapped room was controlled with the main house. Not cold enough for us. They were very accommodating with fans.
Review 58:Love the staff and chef Mary, they were all great the food excellent. The location was great for we could get around with our scooter.
Review 59:The staff was fantastic! All our needs were met with kindness and hospitable service. We highly recommend the Agustin Inn for a relaxing and wonderful time. Plenty to do and see, just footsteps away.
Review 60:can't think of any!
Review 61:the location was great! We just walked outside the door and we were right in the middle of the old part of St Augustine. we had a nice picnic at the fort at sunset just a few minute walk from the room.
Review 62:Though being located in the heart of the historic district is quite convenient, the noise can be a problem. Woke up one morning at 6:30am to the city leaf blowers cleaning the streets below our room that lasted half an hour. Late night revelers and music from nearby bars can keep you up late.
Review 63:Rooms were well appointed with very comfortable beds. We had the balcony room which was wonderful. Breakfast top notch!
Review 64:Food was too gourmet for our taste. We noticed others leaving it also. Would rather have more ordinary breakfast foods like eggs, cereals, breads, etc.
Review 65:Bed was extremely comfortable and room was very clean.
Review 66:The stairs !! The elevator was an essential for us oldies. Front steps could use more grab able hand rails.
Review 67:The ambience style and comfort. The staff were very helpful. And breakfast well that was a unique experience.
Review 68:First stay at a B & B and we totally fell in love with Agustin Inn! The location is perfect with a parking space provided. We did not need to use our vehicle the whole stay. Couldn't ask for a friendlier staff, we felt right at home! The breakfast was something we looked forward to each morning it was so delicious! Always homemade goodies available throughout the day with coffee and flavored water, also.
Review 69:The staff was great-- very kind and helpful! This was our first stay at a Bed & Breakfast and I can definitely say we'll be back. Great location! We didn't touch the car all weekend :)
Review 70:The tub/shower combo was very difficult (and a little hazardous) to get in and out of.
Review 71:Breakfast was very innovative and completely delicious every morning. The staff was totally gregarious and very attentive to the needs of the breakfast guests.
Review 72:Everything! Loved being right around the corner from St. George Street. We walked everywhere we wanted to go. The place was beautiful, classy but not overdone, like a lot of B&B's i have seen pics of. The huge king size bed was so comfy and the large jaccuzzi bath tub was heaven. The people who worked there were so nice and helpful. The owner had fruit infused water, coffee, hot chocolate and snacks available to guests at all times. The chocolate cookies were delicious. Breakfast was served each morning and it was scrumptious and filling. We ate one morning out in the garden. Our stay could not have been anymore relaxing and perfect!
Review 73:Only problem was one of the guest rooms the guests were loud but that is not the fault of the owner…..just inconsiderate people staying there.
Review 74:Loved how the owner decorated the house. Felt right at home. Staff very welcoming.
Review 75:That they dont take children :(
Review 76:The location was perfect, right in the middle of everything so I never got in my car. Everyone there took great care of me and definitely showed me why bed and breakfast are so much better than hotels. I will warn that they dont usually take children. I got lucky because it was off season and I was one of the first online bookings. They treated my one year old wonderfully though :) I will definitely go back again but it may be awhile because I always have my baby with me.
Review 77:The room was decorated very well, but we thought the bed could have been softer. I would rate the overall comfort level of the bed a 3/5. The shower head was old and I would upgrade to a prettier shower head for aesthetics and better pressure.
Review 78:Wonderful staff! Breakfast was prepared hot and displayed very nicely. The location of the B&B is right next to several amazing restraunts and tasty bars! My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay.
Review 79:Nothing.
Review 80:Everything!! The Chef is Outstanding!!! My wife is allergic to Gluten and Sea Salt and the Chef adjusted her amazing breakfast's every morning just for her. 5 Star staff in every way!! Had a great 5 Day Stay!!!!
