Review 1：Mattress was rather uncomfortable. The location is great for seeing the historic center, but it is not close to a beach. Granted this is known when you book, but there's also no pool. After a day in the jungle, you do want to cool down in some manner. But for the price, can't be beat. I'd book agin.

Review 2：Beautiful little pousada right in the middle of the historical district. The staff was utterly charming and very helpful. Monkeys climbing through the gardens were very cool - I don't see that in Texas. The drive from Rio to Paraty is amazing and beautiful.

Review 3：Location is awesome (minutes from the main square)! The hotel is very quaint and cute but perfect for a weekend getaway. The staff are very sweet and friendly and always made sure we are taken care of.

Review 4：There was a spa that was deserted/closed and no information was given as to why. Our room was a little noisy- on the ground floor beside the courtyard. Felt it was a bit pricey compared to other places we stayed in Brazil.

Review 5：Lovely garden with birds and monkeys visiting. Excellent breakfast although service was a little slow. Huge bathroom and quirky colourful decor in the room and throughout the hotel. Great minibar selection. Very helpful staff, they also speak good English.

Review 6：The breakfast was very basic and the variety of fruits provided were limited. The bread rolls were not very tasteful. The best breakfast I have had in Brazil is at the Mercury Central Towers in Sao Paulo where they bake their own rolls and cheese balls which are lovely and fresh and makes you want to eat more.

Review 7：The pousada had a large shared communal areas which was very comfortable and the rooms in the pousada had a lot of character. It is a lovely place to stay.

Review 8：Breakfast is similar every day; sometimes accompanied with small ants making their way to the sucre. Prior Reservations -which is done in remotely - did not pass on all my demands. Room decoration is a bit old, but Ok

Review 9：Central location in the historical center. Easy walk to the shops and restaurants or to the water. Reception and courtyard is characterfull and rooms are of a good size with comfy bed and digi TV and nice balcony over looking the hotels courtyard. Staff were fantastic.

Review 10：No one cleaned our room, which was ironic considering the 10% servicefee they charged. The bar appeared to be open, but the bartender wasnowhere to be found when we wanted to order a drink at night.

The staff was excellent, very helpful and willing to arrange visits for you. We liked it so much that we decided to stay two additional nights. Perfect place to stay in colonial Paraty at more than reasonable price-quality ratio!
