Review 1：The breakfast was TERRIBLE, bread was stale, the bananas and the apples were way past over due, area was dirty and disorganized, when asked for coffee to be refilled, the staff that morning gave a dirty look and sighed as if he was bothered by it.

Review 2：We liked our room, it was quite comfortable. The staff member that checked us in was very welcoming, very helpful and very knowledgeable.

Review 3：The only thing I didn't like was the bathroom. It was dirty. The sink area not so clean. The toilet didn't look clean & the shower wasn't clean. The towels looked dirty too like they don't wash with enough soap or bleach or something. But, like I said I'd stay there again.

Was a little worried for the people in the room next to mine, they had the " do not disturb " sign for more than 24 hours and heard Phill Collins " in the air tonight "on repeat. Nick Cage kept knocking on my door and running off. The palm trees were shouting profanity at me. I believe the place to be slightly haunted, while sleeping heard a whisper saying "get outt.."...

Review 21：When I had called the week proir when booking our room, I specifically asked if the hot tub was working and was told it had just been fixed. Upon arrival, we found out it had been out continuously for the last 3 weeks. Breakfast was not what we were told. It consisted of 2 cereals, bread, packaged danish, waffles, coffee, and bread the first morning. The second morning off brand little donut packages that tasted like cardboard, tiny off brand unedible muffins, and an orange drink (NOT juice) were added to the menu. One of our sons was able to secure door keys on 2 separate occasions (he wasn't even standing there with us at check in so they had no idea who he was) - anyone could just say a room number and get a key to the room (I witnessed this the second time he got a key). The balcony door latch wouldn't stay locked (we were on the bottom floor - NOT GOOD)! Hars to freeze water bottles because the freezer door in mini fridge was broken off. You will also want to make sure you have shampoo and conditioner since all the wall hanging things only have liquid soap in them.

Review 28：My husband was a handicapped individual in a wheelchair. Booked on line for a handicapped room. he was a stroke victim got to hotel and was told could not have room I needed. They told me they had already put someone else in room. Husband could not get up und down in bed. booked for two nights only stayed for one. as husband could not sleep or get around in room. Ruined his last birthday he had on this earth. As he passed away two weeks ago.

Review 34：The reception staff were warm and hospitable. I graciously received easy to follow directions to a particular store in Brownsville. The staff member showed me on his computer screen which made it easier for us to get to. To me was bed was comfortable and the pillows had fluff which I like and the room felt relaxing.

Review 36：The pool area was a complete disaster. The pool needs to be sandblasted and the deck-are needs alot of TLC. My room was clean yet would not pass inspection for Anthony of TV's "Hotels Impossible". The bed matresses need to be replaced. The owners need to know that it takes more than a coat of paint to make this "sow's ear a silk purse". Also, as I was checking-out,there was a group of(younger) guests in the parking playing their loud music with obscenities in the lyrics. I mentioned this to the front desk and was told the owner tolerated it as long as they were spending $$ on the room. I found this be unjust,unfair,and very typical of eastern Indian hoteliers.

Review 54：Pool area and deck to pool area need revamping.Breakfast could use a little TLC."Sharing" jars of jam, jelly and butter is not acceptable. Bagels need cream cheese.Putting out a jug of milk for everyone to use is lackadaisical. Our room only had HOT water. When we informed the front desk, we were told, "Oh yeah, that happens in that room all the time. I can call the maintenance guy, but he doesn't live here. He probably won't come until tomorrow." No apologies and no offers to remedy the situation. I know that this is a "value" hotel,but that does not mean the hospitality should be less than excellent.

Review 56：Staff was rude. The man who chexked me in tried charging me more then I had booked for. Pool and hot tub were awful. The breakfast was horrible. Milk and juice were not refrigerated just sitting on counter all morning. Juice machine did not have cold juice.

We booked two nights we stayed one. We were told they do not give refunds! We checked out after one night. And no refund.

There were roaches in the bathroom and on the walls. The vent fan in the bathroom didn't work at all. The refrigerator didn't work right. The pool was peeling on the inside and turned my child's skin blue. They may allow pets, but they are NOT pet friendly.

There were no movie channels and on the 3rd night our bathroom was invaded with roaches.

TV remote didn't work (needed batteries which they replaced). The building itself is just in bad shape. The continental breakfast was lacking. The top floor looked like people are living there - it was weird. They are storing stuff in the stairwells.

Review 121：I'm a hotel snob for jack of a better term. I travel around the country for work so I think I'm fairly qualified to review this hotel. We decided to hit South Padre on a whim, on Memorial Day weekend no less. Obviously most of the island was booked, but this one had a couple rooms left. I was expecting the worst, but figured that I'm only sleeping here for one night and I could deal with the "bad room". To my surprise, the room was very clean and everything seemed to work. While a bit outdated, all the kitchen stuff worked fine, fridge was cold, bed was comfy and the sitter was clean. All in all, I'd def stay there again if I needed to. Prob not the best place if you're looking for a romantic getaway, but would suffice for a fun, party weekend.

Review 122：We got there at 1am to check in and he could only find 1 of our reservations and after trying to find it he still couldn't so he gave us a suite instead so we didn't have to split up our party and they go down the street. He tells me the next morning he found the reservation, but let us stay in that room.

Review 139：I came with a group of friends to get away from my everyday life as a mommy of two. I arrived at the hotel around 5pm. Needless to say than in less than two hours the staff was knocking on our door telling us to lowere our music or we would get kicked out. Now I would understand if it was 1am and we were being loud and obnoxious. But that was not the case. So disappointed in this hotel for treating us like this. If you are,a young couple or a group of friends don't stay here it will just ruin your stay..
