Review 1：Needs lots of upgrades for its value. Sink only had a drip. Shower barely worked. My one bedroom apartment was only a regular hotel room. Hot tub was turned on once or twice during our stay which was disappointing since we had cold weather all week. No breakfast and barely coffee available by 8am

We understand this is low season but simple things like the bar or restaurant services not being available during 90% of the stay would have been good to know up front. We had the room cleaned once, at our request. Would have also liked to know there would be construction on going... SPI was overal very layed back and a great place to relax at your own pace. This is a nice place for adults not a lot of young kid activities.

It was still a good floor but if you get the Condo a month in advance, I don't see why they can't grant you what you asked for. Review 17：Some of the furniture was older and slightly moldy. But for a beach hotel that's kind of expected... And who spends much time in the room anyways you're at the beach?!?! My mom stayed also in another room and hers look like it had recently updated furniture. Overall excellent!

Review 19：I was unaware that the hotel was going to be under construction so it made it confusing on where to unload our bags. Waking up to the sound of construction instead of the sound of the ocean was disappointing. Also, two of our three toilets didn't work, and we had to have them come fix them TWICE. Having an entire bachelorette party use 1 restroom was extremely uncomfortable. One of the main reasons I booked the presidential suite was because it came with 3 bathrooms for all of us girls. Very discomforting.
Review 20：We stayed in the presidential suite and the layout was perfect! The view from our room was amazing, the pool, heated pool, and hot tub felt amazing. Loved the private access to the beach as well as the private rinse stations to get all of the sand off. This hotel is also in a great location on the island and is close to a bunch of fun activities.
Review 21：construction and parking were not very good. this hotel was 4 stars many years ago. i travel a lot and stay in many hotels, now it's only 3 stars. a bit misleading and not a fair rating, i am disappointed because i was expecting a real 4 star level.

Review 48：The layout of the one bedroom apartment was much like a studio. You walk directly into the bedroom with the bathroom to one side and living space to the other. The only interior door was to the toilet and bath. This is not ideal or "recommended for 4 adults" as advertised as there is minimal privacy and the reality is the pull out sofa is a twin. Management seems to believe the king bed sleeps 3 or you can put two kids in a twin, or be happy with a blow up mattress delivered at 10 pm after 7 hours of requesting one or alternative room. The pull out mattress was horrible and crumpled. Please do not select this room if more than 2 people are traveling in your party. Staff & management resolved nothing. We checked out the next day. Manager refusing to meet with us-in a meeting 1/2 the day, even when booking.com tried to communicate with him hours later. Resort refusing to refund our money the the unused night. We are disputing the charges with credit card company.

Many have complained about the cabinets peeling which is true but that was not a concern as that should not affect a visit. Props to the Penninsula and we will be back for another trip.
Review 54：There is construction and it shook the building all day! No room service. The pictures are a total farce! The spa is a one chair closet and the massage tables are by the pool we here everyone sits and the loud construction. Not a large beach area.

Elevator wasn't working when we arrived and we had to haul everything up to 6th floor. Building was beginning to show wear, unlike the pictures. Front office was basically a closet I guess due to construction.

Review 97：The room we were in even after the initial room change was still not what were were expecting. The "kitchenette" in either of the rooms left a lot to be desired... refrigerator in the rooms kept things cool, not cold. The blinds in the rooms are one big piece that covers the door to the balcony as well as the windows, so to go onto your balcony you had to deal with that... Most of the staff didn't speak English which made ordering drinks from the bar, asking questions, or even tipping the cleaning staff a challenge . Parking was strange, a fairly long walk from your car to the hotel itself, but if there was a staff member who noticed they would occasionally ride out on a golf cart to bring you up to the hotel.
Review 98：The view was amazing! We were right on the beach! The pool was great even though the temperatures were a little strange... the "hot tubs" were cooler than the surrounding pool. When we checked in the room we were given was not what we were expecting. The staff on duty changed us to a different room without any issues. The cleaning staff were great at their job.
Review 99：I didn't get the room on time as they promissed. I got 2 Queens instead of a King bed I requested. The sofá bed is for 1 person not 2 as they indicated. Even is a new building, they have not done a good maintenance on romos. There was too much noise at night that we decided to leave the same day and the staff not even bother to ask why we decided to leave. I will never book agin in this hotel.

Review 102：1 bedroom apartment was very roomy with large kitchen and bathroom areas. The room we stayed in was on the end was configured so there is a lot of privacy (no shared walls). The balcony felt very private and the views were amazing. The private beach was beautiful and you can rent an umbrella or bring your own. The location is great, very close to water parks and restaurants. The AC was not working when we first checked in, but after calling the front desk they fixed it immediately and the room was nice and cold after that. The parking is quite the walk but for loading and unloading we were allowed to drive up to the elevator area and staff were always available with golf carts to give you a ride to and from the parking area.
Review 103：Parking not convenient -too far from actual property. The furniture left a lot to be desired. The doors desperately need paint and they are entirely too heavy - difficult to open. Upkeep of buildings not good.

Review 105：The parking is not close by and the staff was very unorganized, they couldnt find out reservation and it took about 15 minutes to find our room keys even though it was after check in time, on our last day there they had a huge event that they dont even have the facilities for and they made it very hard for us to get our luggage and get to our car.
Review 106：During our stay, the hotel had booked a pool party and hundreds of guests and a DJ took over the hotel pool. It was not a family friendly environment - loud obscene music, scantily clad people, inappropriate behavior. The hotel should've let guests know about this event. They made no effort to make guests comfortable and make up for this major inconvenience. If I had known, I would've stayed somewhere else. And I feel like I should get some of my money back for this stay.

Review 111：For the price the room was minimal and did not comfortably house my family even though they said that it would be adequate for (4). The parking lot for the facility was a long walk each time and if you had to unload you could parking the handicapped space for 30min but it was hard to turn and get back to the parking lot. While we were there they had to work on the air conditioning, and the black out curtain would roll down but not back up so they had to fix that. All over it was not a good experience for us and if I had paid up front for the room I would have checked out. I will not be using this facility again or recommending it to any of my friends.

It looks nothing like the website.I drove to SP from Austin, TX for a birthday vacation with my friends and my whole trip was totally ruined when the stove caught fire while we were at the beach. The management let me know that even though the hotel was booked for the night that if my friends and I were willing to sleep in the smoke filled room that they would give me another room the next day. There were 3 smoke detectors in the room and not one of them went off! None of the maintenance guys spoke any English and they were not helpful at all. It was a horrible experience, customer service didn't exist and I will never go back again! Please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Review 117：Kitchen was not well equipped as far as kitchen towels, potholders, pot lids and room was to sleep 8 people but only dinner plates for 4. Also, the bar advertised items that were on the menu, but they didn't offer the 2 nights and 3 days we were there -- like Budlight beer. They also showed us what they said was "old" menu prices then charged us higher "correct" price when we got our bill. Really disappointed in that as well as now having Bud Light beer, and not allowing you to bring your own to the pool area. Also, did not like parking set up. Had to walk a ways to get to your car because not enough staff available to give you a ride by golf cart to and from your car whenever you needed. Need to move parking closer to actual condos or have people available at all times for the price of the location. Dryer would only dry 2 towels at a time!!!!!!!

Bed comforter was stained and dirty, missing items from room. Requested missing iron board and it was being sent to our room close to midnight after we needed it to go out for dinner. We didn't answer the door because we never imagined the hotel bringing it to us close to midnight. We requested to the iron board close to noon that day. The only thing good of this place is the location. While we were staying there we found out it was a time share. If booking.com what have disclosed it we would have never ever stayed. Thanks for giving our family and bad experience and being dis honest on your marketing for this resort
Review 122：When we arrived... The office at this place looks like an after thought. It doesn't have the traditional lobby entrance with the guest checkin desk. The first room they took us to was not what we asked for. It took contacting the general manager to get the king we did ask for after being told by the person in the office that there were no king rooms left. There were a few families staying there with lots of kids so the pool and hot tub was always full of Spanish speaking young teens. The swim up bar was disappointing, where we basically paid $20 for a wanna be margarita and strawberry daquri...they were more like slushies with no alcohol. The kids left their trash floating in the pool. The pool needs repair in places where it is cracked. I never saw the restaurant opened and wasn't sure I wanted to eat there anyway after trying the drinks. I'm disappointed that we spent so much money to stay there and it was comparable to a regular cheep motel. Oh yes, and there were roaches in the room we stayed in.
