Review 1：The hotel was awesome , I was a little disappointed in the spa was not working . We had a little but of an issue with the reservations not being in their computer but management was amazing and handled it with no problem .Yes I would stay again.

Review 14：This is an older place. For the great deal I got I was more than surprised at the accommodations. It was comfortable, clean, and quiet. They were also remodeling and I believe in the middle of changing owners or had already changed hands. There was a problem and the staff quickly helped correct the problem at no extra charge to me. Most places now charge for any little thing they can. Everyone I worked with was nice and very helpful. They still have an actual breakfast unlike the hotels that claim to with only the option of fruit or yogurt. They actually had waffles, eggs, sausage, etc. I will stay here again next trip.

We spent over 30 minutes looking for the White Sands and finally went to the address and asked them if they were the White Sands, and they said they had just changed the name. No one ever told us about the change.

Review 26：Modest but pretty decent Breakfast. The room was pretty good size. We had the king bed, but in the living there was an extra bed so we used it for kids. The beach is not far from hotel - if you have a car. Otherwise, get something that is next to beach.

I went to make up the pull out bed, and there were no sheets in the closet. I called front desk, no answer, had to go downstairs from 3rd floor to find someone for sheets & comforter. Trash in bathroom was emptied, trash in living area was not. Lots of construction work in the rooms, apparently take over from another motel as towels had name of another motel.

Review 46：Since we stayed in this hotel several times under different management, we were pleasantly suprised and impressed with the new interior design changes and room renovations. Well done! We stay in this hotel because of it's great location - proximity to the mall, Midway Bridge, good restaurants and especially the short drive to our favorite beach. The foyer entrance sitting area list the former cozy ambience, I suggest contemporary but cozier couches.

Review 47：Our room was not cleaned Sunday. Also not bad but more of a variety for breakfast. We were there 4 days and got tired of waffle for breakfast.

Review 50：Alarm clock wasn't working, lamp and lighting in bedroom wasn't working except for lamp next to TV (poor lighting), fan in bathroom wasn't working, broken chair, room was stuffy (need some type of deodorizer or air freshener), toothpaste splatter behind sink and on faucet at check- in, refrigerator has big block of ice in it, had to wait an hour or so for towels, and room wasn't ready for check-in at 4. Sausage and bacon wasn't fully cooked. Need to add hot grits instead of instant. Room door doesn't close automatic you have to pull or push on it to make sure it is closed and secure. Kitchen should have some type of sanitizer automatic dispenser to sanitize hands before and after because everyone touching and using the same serving utensils and touching handles.

Review 51：The location, it was quiet and peaceful with no disturbance, close to shopping center, beach, and eatery (within walking distance). The room was nice and roomy with the exceptions.

And americans probably think the location is good because with car everything is only few minutes away. Breakfast was quite horrible but typical to American hotel.

Review 82：When we got back into the room Saturday afternoon, the towels and the sheets all felt damp. We were told that the staff was very busy and may not have gotten everything dry. At the pool, there were no towels at all. I do believe that the motel was full. However; when my wife went to the front desk about the damp things, she was asked if we had left the temperature in the room low. We never touched the control while we were there.

Review 115：The hotel has been recently updated but some of the improvements are a little lacking (ie:wall color behind toilet is different from the rest of the wall, some shoddy ceiling repairs, pocket door to bathroom didn't reach the floor and didn't latch.There was not latch plate in the door jamb,either. The door shuts and is secure, just rattles a bit. (Room 215) The biggest problem we had was we received, on average, two towels and wash cloths for five people.

Review 116：Based on previous reviews, you can tell that the renovations to the property were extensive and well worth it. We found out room to be comfortable (air conditioner worked very well)and we enjoyed the decor. Breakfast was adequate, actually a bit better than a lot of places. Staff were very friendly and couteous, from the front desk to the cleaning staff.

Since we couldn't shower right away due to the repairs, I asked if the sheets could be changed later if we took a nap. They changed them immediately when requested later that afternoon. The room was great with a separate room and large bed.

Review 121：Everything was great during our stay. The king suite was roomy and comfortable. The refrigerator was a plus. My daughter slept on the pull out sofa bed. The pool was nice and the breakfast very tasty. Bacon and/or sausage, eggs, toast, bagels,cereal,danish,muffins,yogurt,waffles,etc. Hot coffee and hot chocolate,orange and apple juice. Staff and housekeeping was very helpful. We will stay here again. Henderson state park very short drive. Thanks for the great stay in Destin!

Review 122：We stayed here last summer and the breakfast was amazing. The lady in charge had different things each day. One day scrambled eggs, the next cheese omelettes, fried potatoes, etc. This year it was basically the same scrambled eggs every day with bacon one day and sausage the next. Even the danishes were the same pretty much all week. We missed the variety from the prior year.

Review 123：Staff was friendly and very helpful. Cleaning group was great and very nice lady who took great care of us! She never bothered us, but always had fresh towels and room swept etc when we got back from beach and spoke when we saw her out in hall. We love this place and will be back next year.

A shopping center and mall in addition to Henderson beach were within walking distance.The breakfast was good and the kitchen cook was really professional in seeing to it that the eating area was taken care of. Overall the White Sands was clean and comfortable.
