Review 1：The bed and pillows were terrible. The mattress was old and hard and we could feel the springs in our backs. The pillows were hard and lumpy and gave us neck pain in the morning. The staff were very nice, but just not as polished as one would expect from a resort of this caliber. The pool was nice but small. The beach wasn't walking distance, so you had to get the valet to take you to the beach and then call them when you are ready to come back. We ordered room service for breakfast, and the toast was burnt and the $6 coffee was watery and undrinkable. For this price, I'd rather stay at the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua again - their beds, service and food were amazing...and it was less expensive!

Review 2：The rooms were spacious, well-appointed and very clean. Nice lanai to enjoy the sunset from each evening. Very quiet and beautiful surroundings. It was nice to have the car service that would take us anywhere in Wailea.

Review 3：one night we returned late from a wedding and needed to take the shuttle back to our room (as our room is not easily walkable from the reception area.) Yet the doorman was off duty already. The front desk staff, who had no experience in driving the shuttle, had to help driving us back. It was a bit of hassle as she didn't know the way well.

Review 8：I loved the service of all the staff from the front desk to valet to the restaurant. Everything was on point. Great to have complimentary yoga classes in the room and car service. The beach section on Wailea beach for hotel guests was also good although hiring of equipment such as the body boards were on the expensive side.

Review 9：Room service menu could have been a bit more varied but front desk happy to recommend a delivery locally so minor thing.

Review 10：Amazing suite, housekeeping and turn down service excellent. Free Mercedes shuttle anywhere on Wailea, and pick ups made it really easy to explore and try different restaurants or hotels. Cabanas by the pool always tidy, plenty of towels, free fruit and mint water. Morning coffee and tea and social hour by the pool a really nice touch.

Review 30：The service is AMAZING. Every staff was so helpful and the restaurant in the hotel is so good. They offer free yoga lessons in the morning and the pool is gorgeous. The bar at the pool is the best! They also have free shuttle service everywhere in Wailea. Everyone was so friendly. I am sad that I didn't attend the mixology class but I definitely would next time when I go!

Review 31：Not a criticism but worth knowing that this hotel is not on the beach. (It does have a great pool area.) Little touches were missing like calling for our plates to be collected after we'd eaten in the room and finding them still there outside door in the morning let the hotel down a little. I was put through a few times and held for ages before I was able to order the room service itself. This is seriously pedantic and I only mention it as this is not a cheap hotel and so it's the small things that count! Overall a great place where I would stay again.

Review 32：We had the panoramic suite which was just fantastic. It had a stunning view of the ocean and was well furnished and fitted out. We ordered room service from the restaurant and the food was excellent. Compared to the nearby alternatives like the Four Seasons this is noticeably cheaper so a good option for the area. This hotel feels smaller and more intimate compared to some of the big 5 stars on the coast. Get a room with a view as not all the rooms have one.

Review 34：What a fantastic hotel, really could not recommend this place enough. My husband and I were here for our honeymoon, and the staff were wonderful, it was easy to organise things to do via the hotel and the shuttle service is fantastic. A really great way to get around without having to spend a lot of money. This lovely resort is away from the main resorts and in my opinion is so much better. It's quieter and really a perfect place to stay in maui for your honeymoon.

Review 35：Unfortunately, we had an issue w ants on kitchen counter, and some screws were loose on door. Also some of the electronics are a bit difficult to navigate (AC control and some lamps hard to figure out). Really, a lovely place, just a couple issues.

Review 37：Hotel Wailea is set further uphill from the beach than most of the other resorts in Wailea. We found this to be a big plus -- it's quieter, more relaxing, and feels less "touristy." A big plus is that there are 4 rooms per building (2 on each floor), so you have much more privacy and no neighbor noise; best of all was the lanai to watch the ocean. We had an excellent experience at Hotel Wailea and can't imagine staying anywhere else if we ever make it back to Maui.

Review 38：The pool area was nice, with the cabanas and lounge furniture, but the actual pool is not that big, they could use a more luxurious set up. I also wish that there was a stove in the room or microwave in the room.

Review 43：Low number of suites for the size of the property, first class hotel facilities (pool, dining, lobby, suites), the friendliness and efficiency of the staff, the shuttle service to and from the beach, and the personalized set-up of beach chairs, towels and umbrella by the hotel's "beach attendant". Best Maui vacation we've ever had!

Review 44：Food and drinks were too expensive at pool. My room had initially no garbage bins, nor a do not disturb sign. After 3 days with my handwritten sign, they finally added a sign. Housekeeping removed the shopping bags I used for garbage every day, but only after 4 days they brought a bin. On the last 2 days the pool was overcrowded. One of the cabanas, which we were told couldn't be reserved, was reserved, even though it was empty all day. At the beach it took 10-20 minutes to get a lounger and they were out of towels several time. For a hotel in this price category I expect more.

Review 46：Everything, one of the most ZEN hotels ever, excellent lunch and dining in Capische?. Try the Peppercorn Ahi Sandwich and Veal Chop. The shuttle service drops and picks you everywhere in Wailea without delays so you don´t need a car at all.

Review 47：The "manager's happy hour" on Friday consisted of one free drink in the lobby. The refrigerator was very small and could only accommodate a gallon of milk on its side.

Review 49：- I thought the facility had a more extensive kitchen...no stove or oven....has microwave, toaster, coffee machine. Great dishes, cutlery, glasses. We adapted and were fine - our unit was close to a road (a quiet one, but you could still see/hear cars) - the cost of eating out in area was quite expensive

Krisy and Katie at front desk was cool and the entire hospitality staff was awesome!!! The pool area was quite awesome even for people like myself who do not swim...Great lounging spot! The view of the ocean from the hotel was amazing! This hotel made the fact that we came for our vow renewal more magical!

Review 54：A newly beautifully modernised hotel set in tranquil grounds. Unlike large big block hotels the hotel wailea was a refreshing change to most of the hotels in the wailea area. Fabulous staff, and if going ask for a sea view room on the upper floor for breathtaking sunsets.

The lack of choices for food and beverage--a small lounge with casual food in the large round main room in the lobby would be nice, it is very under-used space with a beautiful view. The swamp like water at the lower pond outside our room--but they cleaned it out while we were there!

Our accommodation was spacious with an excellent finish and allowed us to enjoy breakfasts and sunsets looking over Wailea from the large balcony. The staff made us feel extremely comfortable and as we were on our Honeymoon even surprised us with a bottle of Champagne at our room one evening. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Review 68：the weather in Wailea was a bit strange, as it was raining almost every afternoon, however just 10 minutes west with the car it was sunny again. The opening time of the restaurant, as we wanted to have lunch at 2 pm but it was closed.

Review 80：My partial ocean view room is actually not ocean view. More like a garden view but it's ok. The restaurant only serves food at specfic time and doesn't open at noon. The hotel is far from the sea and beach but they cooperate with Kia lani which has good beach and provide shuttle service between.

Drove to the Gym Maui for several workouts during our stay and would recommend this gym for anyone looking to stay in shape while on vacation.

I talked directly with the General Manager, said he would call me back to offer some sort of compensation. Over a month has gone by with no response or call back!!! Would be a cool place to stay, everybody just dropped the ball when we were there. Horrible customer service and no follow through from the GM is a major disappointment! P.S. it was my wife and I's 15th anniversary.... bummer!
