Review 1：It was a great deal for the price. No breakfast or fridge but we didn't expect either. The TV didn't work (we didn't really care) and there's no heating (which was mildly uncomfortable in the January weather) but a thick blanket was provided. Shower pressure poor and temperature unreliable. Overall very happy though.

Review 2：The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The location was good, a short walk from the sea front with a number of cafes and bars around. Also a good spot for walking to the Canon Fort. They rent bikes which is useful for exploring the island. Very decent price,clean and comfortable.

Review 4：2 min walk up a tiny hill from town. The staff were amazing! So welcoming and such a lovely family and cutest baby. They gave us lots of info on boat tours and didn't push anything on us. Due to bad weather we ended up doing the $20 cruise with a bigger boat but the manager offers $18 cruises on a smaller boat which we wish we could have done heard great things from other people before us. A private double room was only $6 at this time, with large space and TV and great shower. Such good value for $. They also offered cheap breakfast (25,000 pancakes etc) and we had dinner with them one night for 75,000 each and had a huge feast of duck and Veges and tofu etc. Couldn't rate it higher :)

Review 6：Wow my stay here was amazing. Large rooms with the most comfortable beds in Asian! What really makes this place is the manager and his family. They are so friendly and welcoming you feel like family. If you stay here please do the haylong bay tour they offer as its totally amazing. I had previously considered going on a commercial tour staying on a boat but I'm so glad I didn't as it wouldn't have even come close to the experience you get on a small boat. Plus their boat tour is about 80% cheaper than a commercial tour! I would definitely stay again and I recommend this guest house without doubt you won't regret it.

Review 7：We loved it here, we were so looked after. We were thrown a Christmas Eve party along with the other guests, and were cooked some delicious Vietnam food. Next day we went on the boat trip organised through the hotel, it was the our favourite day of all our travels. We climbed a mountain on monkey island to see the most amazing view of the bay, then we ate lunch on a traditonal floating house it was all cooked by the family and so delicious, then we kayaked through a cave in halong bay. A Christmas Day we will always remember thank you.

Review 10：Staff cleaned rooms, replaced towels & toilet paper, new sheets and made bed every day. Comfortable bed and pillows. Very relaxing and comfortable stay. Can rent motorbike/scooter from them. Quiet but friendly family.

Review 11：Horrible, worst place we have slept in in whole of vietnam. It is clean but impossible to catch a halfdecent sleep because the walls are paperthin and the staff makes alot of noise till late night and they start again at 5:30

Review 16：This family owned place is a perfect stay for Catba and the owners and their little boy are really friendly and helpful. Its not on the mainroad but the beaches are just 10 minutes walk away and nice Restaurants are just around the corner. The owner gives all important information about the island, the boat trip we booked there was awesome and not one of those touristy over priced halong bay tours. Another day we rented motorbikes and discovered the island. You can even have cheap and good breakfast or dinner at this place. It was one of our best stays in vietnam so far.

Review 20：Quiet (except for the omnipresent cocks starting to sing at around 4). Great host family, very service-oriented and welcoming, giving you a homely feeling. I rented a mountain and a motor bike, both were in good condition. You can order delicious little meals for good prices. The view on a hill was nice too. The location is very good: central but quiet because at the end of a loop. Very much recommended!

Review 25：Fantastic experience living with a local family who a very friendly, helpful and go out of their way to satisfy anything you want! Excellent value for money. We hired a bike from the hotel which was in good condition so we weren't bothered about its location too much. Hotel was quiet, facilities as you would expect for money on Cat Ba, internet was fast.

Review 30：This is the best place we stayed at in Vietnam. The guest house is run by a family and they are very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone staying in Cat ba. They have a lot of helpful information about Cat ba, the owner gave us a map and drew the attractions and how far they are for us. He also offers tours and transportation which are described n detail so you know exactly where you are going and the prices are written up front. We booked this room for one night but ended up staying 4 nights, its simply amazing over here, feels like home.

Review 31：Don't book the jungle tour. It's with a friend of the host. It was fine, but all the guy did was basically just show us the way, didn't speak much English and gave no information. He didn't give information you would hope like that you should bring water, he didn't have a e.g. A med kit Family has young baby, who is gorgeous, but being a baby.... Is inclined to let the hotel know he is awake.

Review 36：We have been travelling through SE Asia for a month and this has been our favourite stay so far. If you are looking for somewhere to stay at Cat Ba, book here! Luan and his family are just beautiful and went out of their way to give us a wonderful Cat Ba experience. We did a day tour around Lan Ha bay with Luan swimming & hiking at Monkey Island, fishing with a local family, and kayaking around some caves. We also hired scooters from Luan and toured around the National Park for a day. The Guest house isn't at the beach but everything is so close it doesn't matter! We walked to beaches 1 and 2 from here. The rooms are very basic but clean and comfortable and exceptional value for money! We hope to return one day :)

Review 38：The owner and his family are very friendly! It's located a bit up the hill in a rather quiet area! Very good value for the money. The hotel is not perfect, but regarding the price it's amazing. 8 Dollar per night for a spacious double room is great!

Review 39：This is a fantastic place to stay during your time on Cat Ba. The host family are very welcoming and will cater to any need or want you have. We had already booked a tour but he runs kayaking tours to Lan Ha Bay for $15 a day which I am sure would be great too. You can rent motorbikes from him as well which is the best way to see the island. The beach is only a 15 minute walk from the guesthouse and the main town is 5 minutes.
