Reviews for Rodeway Inn Secaucus

Review 1:At check in, they wanted to charge me more money! The woman in the breakfast follows you around and watches you like s hawk. She turned the heat to 85!

Review 2:The price

Review 3:Checking in hotel clerk made photo copy of my debit card. Highly unusual never had that done before. 6hey refused to give copy at check out. Towels in bath room had blood spots on them where previous guest had shaved. Leads me to belive towels had not been clean. Room and restroom very dusty. Windows dirty. Was glad to finally get out of the place. Will not return here!

Review 4:management photo copied my driver's lic and credit card upon checking in; refusing to return them to me upon my departure. My personal info is none of their business.

Review 5:the only good thing I can say is that it was clean!

Review 6:Room was an absolute mess. Mold and water damage. We found a full breakfast meal in our closet at check in and bugs in the tub. The place would be ok if they kept up with maintenance and renovated.

Review 7:Nice size room. 10 mins from NJ mall and 10 mins from NYC

Review 8:The location was not what we expected. we were told that the location was under 2 miles from the MetLife Stadiumm maybe as a crow flies but it was to dangerous to walk around.

Review 9:poor breakfast , wifi not working, locacion very hard to find and it was hard to sleep because of the noise that was comming from the highway

Review 10:nothing good.

Review 11:Despite having a mac which runs fine on every network i was blamed for not having a windows computer with internet explorer browser as the prime reason the free wifi didnt work for me. the internet guy only new this reply and wouldnt even consider any other possibility. very rude

Review 12:its convineantly located about 15 mins from nyc, the rooms are relatively clean and there arent any major disturbances.

Review 13:Very clean, comfortable, quiet, plenty of hot water. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast choices, directly off of highway. Can see NYC from hall windows , Empire State Building, etc. Very pretty at night.

Review 14:My only real complain for this location is that their staff was very rude.

Review 15:The location was ok seeing as how Met Life stadium was a 10 minute drive. And thank God for wifi because it kept our spirits high since everything else was depressing. Also, the hotel was clean and looked moderately new.

Review 16:Everything else. ....lingering odors, elevator wasn't working had to walk up and down from the 3rd flr, wifi sucked on the 3rd flr.

Review 17:Closeness to what I had to do in Secaucus

Review 18:The place is quite rundown and difficult to navigate to. The road noise made it hard to sleep well. There is minimal parking and no front desk, so check in was hard.

Review 19:The breakfast was OK. The family that runs everything is fairly friendly ,but you have to track them down for help.

Review 20:Everything.. Nothing works( elevator, drink vending machine..!!) u walk in a super cold room( heat is off till they rent the room), the access door to the stairs would be so loud when it would close that would shake my drink in the night table... Had no sleep in almost 3 days( was there for 2 full nights ) never again!!!'

Review 21:Nothing!!!

Review 22:The tv remote control seems need repair/change

Review 23:I don't like the system of entering the room from the backdoor/main door. The receptionist looks as he does not know who is coming or going.

Review 24:The first night, the couple occupying the adjacent room were very noisy.

Review 25:Rodeway Inn treated us very professionally. Whatever complaint we had was resolved speedily. The breakfast was decent and the staff were very courteous.

Review 26:Standing outside for 4 hours in freezing temperatures to avoid the $50 early registration fee the night manager wanted to charge me. Audible conversation through the walls.

Review 27:Possible to walk to the local plaza & catch a bus to Manhattan for around $4.Basic but adequate breakfast.

Review 28:SMALL BREAKFAST ROOM BUT EVERYTHING WAS THERE. CAN TAKE BACK TO ROOM IF YOU.

Review 29:RELAXING 7 NIGHTS AT HOTEL AWAY FROM THE HUSSLE AND BUSSLE OF NEW YORK. GOOD TRANPORT LINK. 24HR SUPERMARKET MINS AWAY, VARIOUS FOOD OUTLETS NEARBY.

Review 30:Staff did not look happy about having to work -very little communication skills. not a great deal of lighting in the room ( the brightest light being the bathroom light ) . no kettle/tea, coffee making facilities in room . No welcome to property -apart from a sign in the lift. Not a place i would stay at again

Review 31:Not a lot I can say here - but if anything i suppose it would be the free Wi-Fi ( although not great it was something )

Review 32:For its class and location I cannot say anything negative

Review 33:Proximity to NYC bus is superb. Hotel needs to instruct customers that GPS address is 155 Rte 3 E.

Review 34:the staffs' English are poor, very heavy Indian accent, very hard to understand for non-native English speaker.

Review 35:bed is comfortable. location is good. Please walk to the plaza center Secaucus, there are KFC, Pizza, CVS, Fatmer's market etc. And you can take 190/122 to New York Port Authority near there, usually take 30 minutes for non-traffic jam(8:30 departure)

Review 36:This would be a nice hotel if there were no bugs in beds.. I couldn't sleep, because of it. In the morning I was beaten all over my body.

Review 37:Quite good location, not too bad housekeeping

Review 38:We wanted a place to sleep during our two day getaway to NYC, so we weren't looking for luxury. When we got to the "inn" immediately I saw that the greeter was behind a bullet proof window and used a microphone to speak... This is when I realized things were going down the hill... It wasn't the stain carpets, the dirty curtains, the mildew, the smell, the fighting couple (all night until 6 am) next to our room, or the water damage in the ceiling that bothered us...it was the bed! You could feel every single spring.. No cushioning! We had to fold the bed cover in fourths and sleep on top of it for added cushioning... It was this bad! We didn't left the first night because they told us that we needed to pay anyways for it. We left early in the morning and switched hotels. Stayed in a Hilton for only $20 more than we payed at Rodeway Inn. Really bad!

Review 39:Nothing! Is really bad

Review 40:Awful experience steer clear of this hotel. My sheets were dirty thehotel was gross and the tub was black from lack of washing! Not worth apenny let alone the money they are asking! Left in the middle of thenight to find a different hotel.

Review 41:Nothing!

Review 42:Staff was difficult to understand Location was difficult to find (right around a corner on a busy highway) Breakfast wasn't acceptable in my opinion

Review 43:Relatively clean inside the rooms Good location for where we needed to go Fine because we didn't spend much time there.

Review 44:There was very limited parking for guests. When I first arrived I was given a key to my room. When I went to the room to drop off my luggage I found the door propped open with a bath towel and all of the windows were wide open. I called down to the front desk to see if there was a mistake and I had been given someone else's room, but the clerk told me there was no mistake. This was my room. I asked why the door was propped open and all the windows were open and I was told that housekeeping does that sometimes and forgets to go back and fix it. It was apparent the room was being aired out from the guests that had stayed in the room the night before because the room still smelled of cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking room. The pillows were absolutely horrible. They were thin as a piece of paper with no stuffing in them at all.

Review 45:we don't watch much TV, so, it was not a problem, but Comcast is known for being unreliable, and we didn't have TV for 1 day...i do not blame the hotel for this

Review 46:location...10 minutes to mid-town NYC; grocery, diner and drug store close to the hotel (a 200 meter walk?) strong wi-fi courteous, efficient staff breakfast better than expected price was great too!

Review 47:The outside needs a freshen up, but other than that nothing.

Review 48:Iv stayed here 3 times now, and each time has been great, 5mins to the bus stop that takes you straight to port authority and the last bus to leave NYC is at 1.05am (altho often late). The bus only costs $6.40 return and take that into account if you have to consider parking in manhatten or paying $13 to go through a tunnel. You are also close to jersey garden outlet mall and many other places in new jersey.

Review 49:The location and getting to it is very poor. The parking lot was poor. The breakfast sucked as it was just cereal in a styrofoam bowl, nasty muffins, warm milk and cold bagels.
