Review 1：Had a little trouble getting towels at first but that was resolved.Water in hot tub was cold.There was no breakfast during the week :-(

Review 3：I did not like the fact that as soon as we selected a room by the pool and hot tub a crew of about 10 workers came in and started to resurface the pool and hot tub not only making them inaccessible but also making a lot of noise. Even on the weekend. The staff conveniently did not inform us of this when we checked in. Later after I asked why we were not told about this their response was that they told Booking.com to mention it but they never did. The free breakfast is very meager and the beds frames are metal and make noise when you move. The whole place is needs updates which is is hopefully what they are trying to do. The WiFi kept going in and out.

Review 5：The hotel itself was under construction and in my opinion, should not have been able to have occupants during this time. Everything was a mess, unclean, there was absolutely no extra toilet paper, paper towels, a short amount of bath towels that were disgusting and not clean at all. We had 10 people staying here and it was a villa so you would've expected there to be kitchen ware at least but none at all. Beds were extremely hard, there were barely any blankets or pillows available even after going to the office to ask them for some. It was the worst experience I've had in a hotel and will NOT be returning.

Review 7：I stayed in the villa room, it had 1 single pack coffee for 6 ppl. No soap or shampoo or towels for 6 ppl, and no blow dryer... Wich the other rooms all had. and the furniture was quite disgusting. I realize this is a party room, but I'm a little more mature than that. If ppl tear up a room, they should have to pay for it and be replaced. I couldn't sit on the furniture. It was quite gross. The desk chair in my bdrm was just disgusting. I've seen better ones in the trash. You are trying to make the rooms upgraded by remodeling, but seriously get some new couches n chairs. I would not sit on either one. I'm sending a picture of the desk chair. Just unreal! I had to put it in the closet just to get it out of my site.
Review 8：The view and the set up of the villa room. For New Years eve, the price was nice. There's a few changes you can make to get this room looking nice . I bought a very nice hide a bed for 100.00. Looks new. Whatever you do, get new couch chair and desk chair. Will make huge difference.

Review 11：What we didn't like was the place was being remodeled and our hotel room #205, the toilet wasn't anchored down correctly. the bathtub inside was rusted and covered over with a slab which still was a health hazard.the bathroom door didnt lock. the main door couldn't lock from the inside. which made it uneasy for us at night.your spa or pool was said it was warm setting for the guest. well that wasnt true..your steps need grip strips,when it rains it is slippery.

Review 15：It was raining however, even at periods when it stopped they did not want to unlock the pool gate. There was no lightning or thunder it was actually clear for a bit and we would have appreciated being able to use the pool for our children which is their favorite part. The room was dirty and towels were awful, I have a picture on how they were literally dingy black. I understand there may be construction but a parking lot full of smelly toilets are not acceptable. Breakfast was ok. Didn't really see or interact with the staff much except for hearing the word no. When I did the reservation there was only one price, then when I arrived I was told the nice rooms in the picture by the water would cost me more, which I hadn't budgeted for and even with there only being four cars in the parking lot they couldn't make an exception and give me the room I thought I paid for.
Review 16：The walkway by the water seemed nice but due to the weather we didn't get to enjoy it. The tv was a good size.
Review 17：We stayed during labor day weekend and two concerts went on, after we left the concert we attended and came back we couldn't find any parking because other guests had invited other non-guests of the hotel back to party in their rooms. When I notified the gentleman at the front he was super rude and said we could park on the grass.
Review 18：When we arrived the young lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and polite. We also loved the peace and quiet as well as the view. The free breakfast in the morning wasn't bad either.
Review 19：Dirty, and unsafe! There was mold in the bathroom. The door was missingthe deadbolt, and the lights in the room didn't work. We were inthe dark! The Pool was seriously run down. Parking was terrible. I canhonestly say that we will never stay here again. Breakfast was veryvery sad....

Review 43：The breakfast area was always gross. They'd walk in to refill things, while I was waiting the 25+ min to make a few waffles, & not touch any of the mess that was everywhere. One morning the front desk lady walked in & saw juice spilled all over the floor said "ewww" refilled something & walked back out w/o cleaning it. A few min later a little girl walked in & almost fell, had to grab the counter to catch herself. AND the floor in our room hadn't been mopped in who knows how long. AND there was a roach in the bathroom. I highly doubt they have the fishing pools they advertise. The 5 night that we were there, they didn't have any, kept giving us the excuse that they were being rented out!! AND the ice machine worked only 1 night out of 5!!! AND all of the double parking was ridiculous!! There solution was to park up front & walk the entire parking lot back to our room

Review 45：Cleaning personnel need retraining. They left only 1 hand towel, 1 wash cloth,2 bath towels and 1 roll of TP on the roll( no extra) in a King Suite?? Had to go ask for the supplies because phone in room not working either. :( Grill remnants and trash in back need to be picked up periodically. Never done during the 4 days we were there.

It was 9:05 when she told us no more syrup or butter. Not cool at all.

It was overall dirty, linen dingy, towels very thin and old. Would not stay there again. The bed (except the pillow) was pretty good. Nothing else was. I'd give it a half star. Location is OK. Breakfast room way to small, crowded. hours odd from 7-9 AM.

It was the first time I had chosenan unknown hotel because of location instead of sticking to my numberone choice. Big mistake, there is that saying, "you get what youpay for" and we did...it was cheap but it also came with thetrashiest people you'll ever see. If your thinking about stayinghere because your cheap...dont! Do yourself a favor and your familyand spend the extra money to stay at La Quinta across the street.That's where we moved to after the first night where they actuallyhave clean comfortable beds, toilets that work, up to date furniture,no smells in the rooms, a full breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, realoj, toast) that's included and you don't have to worry aboutbeing around trash. Clean people who are not going to break into yourroom or your car.
Review 80：The pictures of the hotel on the internet are not what you drive up to. Parking at this facility is tough to find after 8:00 pm. The room was not warm and inviting, it didn't have lamps or nice furniture. It reminded me of a cold college dorm. Also the condensation from the air conditioner leaked in the restroom causing a puddle of water everyday.

The shower floor was falling apart the ceiling looked like it was going to fall in the mini fridge wasn't even cold it felt like room temperature. The hot tub wasn't hot at all and they put too much chlorine in there. Then the made left our door open hours later we arrived and it was wide open luckily no one stole anything

Breakfast was continental except for waffles, of which you could make one at a time. Hotel is extremely rundown and showing its age. Not at all the impression I got from the site. This should be a $20/ night hotel. Front desk staff did not seem concerned about the fact I thought location was on the beach, could have made me happier by employing a bit of hospitality and customer service. Called to ask about breakfast times and man basically hung up on me.

Review 110：We did get lucky and saw a guy with a water jet back pack who could fly around like a super hero. At night he was covered in LEDs that could change color independently or he would go all one bright solid color. Couldn't hear the neighbors. That's good. They got us in an hour before checkin time. They had weekend availability.
Review 111：I wish the bed had more than just a sheet and a coverlet on it. The evenings got cold and It would have been nice to have a blanket or a comforter. Also, the sheets themselves left us feeling itchy and they were not very soft. Neither were the towels. An ice bucket in the room would have been nice, as we had to request one specifically. Adding more water pressure in the shower would be nice. It was hard to shower with the slow pour of water we had.
Review 112：The room was spacious and was visually appealing. The location was good, and the staff was very kind and helpful. The furniture was nice, though very beat up. It got us through the week and was workable, especially since we mostly just needed a place to shower and sleep, nothing too fancy. Overall, it was nice enough for our needs and got us through the week with reasonable rates.

Review 128：Our neighbors were extremely noisy by the fishing pier, even past the 11 o'clock "curfew" which just meant they had to keep it down. I wish management had told them to lower their music or at least not shout. The breakfast was a little scarce.

Review 132：I book this hotel online for Thursday April 9 to Sunday April 12. Front desk attendant was rude to my 17 year old son when he asked her what was the Wi-Fi password. She told him it was the same # as the fax # while she kept walking a dog on the hall and left the front office unattended and we could not even find that fax # anywhere. I had to call back the office # to get it. I asked for a second floor bedroom on my online application and got a nasty bedroom on the first floor. When I mentioned to the front office desk attendant about my request she did not say anything, she did not bother to apologize or try to please me. What kind of customer service is this? As for the bathroom, the hairdryer burned right after turning it on. No replacement. The toilet does not flush unless you keep you hand on the handle to help it. The beds linen were wrinkle as if someone stayed there right before we arrived. The worst thing was the "free breakfast included". When we went there at 9:00am on Friday morning there was no bread, no juice, no milk, no fruit no pastries. I went to tell the front desk attendant about the milk and juice and she asked me if there was not even an ounce there. Can you believe it? I said not to her and she went to look. Then it took her 20 minutes to refill only milk and juice. And she did not have good manners. I wanted to leave Friday after all this service but the front desk attendant said there would be no reimbursement for the next days. Sunday morning my wife went to get breakfast with my son and she experience the rudeness of the front desk attendant toward a gentleman that asked for waffle syrup because it was out. The front desk attendance said to the man that she(front desk attendant) was not supposed to give him any syrup because it was not her fault that he did not come earlier.

There were holes in the shower and they covered it with a mat (I bought .99 flip flops so that I wouldn't touch the gross tub with my feet). There was molding on about everything even the curtains (black mold maybe?). And cracks in everything. The hangers were nasty. TV was so static-y. The wifi barely worked. You had to pay $10 extra per person to buy a wristband to know you stayed at the hotel. The pool looked dirty. Just about everything. The price for this hotel was RIDICULOUS for such a lousy hotel. I had an ok experience for staying at this ghetto hotel, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. And I wouldn't go back. If I do go back to South Padre I'll be sure to prebook my hotel months before so I don't spend this much on a hotel that's not worth my money. Also I didn't eat any breakfast at the place nor did I attempt to Bc of the reviews I read. I cooked for myself.
Review 137：Honestly nothing much I could say, the location was great. And that was about it. After reading the reviews before I got to the hotel for Spring Break, I pretty much brought everything from my house so I would skip out on having to worry about the dirtiness of this hotel. Because I brought my own bed sheets, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, air freshener, candle, cleaning supplies. I had nothing to worry about, because I knew everything I was using was clean Bc it was from home. But I do wish I didn't have to bring so much stuff to the hotel, but it wasn't a big deal.
