Review 1：First impression was the room had a damp musty smell. The handle to the jacuzzi tub was crudely repaired with putty. The hair dryer was missing/torn from the wall. The TV was an old small tube type in an oversized cabinet. Our stay was spontaneous, and we needed toiletry items like shampoo, but unlike every hotel in the universe, they didn't have any to offer.
Review 2：Location, right between the main drag and the water. Jacuzzi in the room. Staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be. Room was large and aside from the odor, appeared clean and tidy.
Review 3：Employee charged my card when I CLEARLY chose the option to pay cash there. What if I had no money in my card?! Is he going to pay my overdraft fee had there been no money in there. NO! My card should've never been charged, they should've waited till we arrived and paid cash like I had said. He charged card BEFORE we had even arrived. Also, I like a firm mattress...but these were just plain flat and worn-out, the pillows where paper thin flat too! very uncomfortable

Review 5：Heater did not work on a 40 + degree night. The ac unit was full of mold. The ceiling fan was full of dirt. Bed spreads were stained. Carpet was need of cleaning. A little cleaning goes a long way!

Review 9：This hotel has so much potential because it is cute and in a good location. It just seems like the management is cutting corners in a lot of ways. There were so many little things that were wrong (broken, not clean, etc) that would not have taken much effort or money to fix. Unfortunately, on the night before we were to drive back to Austin, our next door "neighbors" were partying very loudly until the wee hours of the morning. I tried calling the front desk to ask them to intervene but there was no one there. We ended up leaving at 4:00 in the morning because we couldnt sleep anyway. It wasn't so great trying to drive 6-7 hours on no sleep. :(

Review 13：The first thing I found in the bath was a croach. Then, the room was not cleaned. One bed had been made but not the other and the wastebasket was not emptied at all. Noisy, people knocking doors very late. I asked for one more pillow and they told me there were no more in the entire hotel. The towels were dirty too.

Review 22：It was our 25th wedding anniversary. The picture looked nice on line and it had a boat slip which my husband wanted. The boat slip had trash floating in it. So we did not use boat slip and had to go and pay for boat slip elsewhere. The pool was alright but too many kids to enjoy ourselves. They did not clean room like we asked and it reeked of Pine Sol. We checked out a day early and I told them to do the right thing and give us one day back but to no avail. Do not go there for any reason. A big waste of money. Pay alittle bit more and have a nice vacation instead of a bad one.These places are not new. What a joke. I should of listened to all the bad reviews and gone with my heart. What a fool I was!!

Review 24：The room was not clean and the beds were very uncomfortable. We pulled out the sofa bed and cookies and crumbs fell out of the mattress which happened to be very old and unsanitary.
Review 25：Our room had a back.door that led to the pool which wad nice. Wifi was great and the young lady that checked.us in was very nice.
Review 26：the patio had leftover cigarette butts and soda cans overflowing the trash can. the beds were not made during the day. the beds were incredibly uncomfortable! no coffee until breakfast, at 8 am. if you are an early riser, you are out of luck. area very small for crowd at breakfast. light coming in through patio door window was incredibly bright! all night! not happy campers!

The staff was great and friendly. Overall my stay was good but with a few small upgrades it would be impressive and great.

Our room was dirty, sheets were dirty, hair in bathtub, the pull out couch had no sheets, there were dead bugs of some kind on one of our coverlets. Another room had dirty sheets, hair and stains on their pull out couch, no shampoo, no towels, and no remote control for their tv.the carpet was visibly dirty. We were told breakfast wold be barbacoa and tortillas and it wasn't. We had to wait in line almost thirty minutes and there was no place to sit because seating was so limited.
Review 44：The pool was nice, warm, and clean. The hot tub well maintained. When we had a complaint it was dealt with timely.
Review 45：The comp. Breakfast was more of a headache than it was worth. The wallswere thin and noise kept me awake. The room never got cleaned once inthe 4 days we were there. The a/c never really got the room cool.

Also, the place /pier is located inland at the end and the water looks gross and shallow there. The mattresses were extremely old and worn out.

The bathroom smelled as well, and the shower draining wasn't working properly. It was too noisy. Dont ever stay at this hotel. Wifi was slow.

Review 69：When we got there we noticed the carpet was a bit wet. It ended up smelling like wet dog for awhile. The TV was right on the dresser and it was kind of awkward. When we ordered pizza it was weird because there wasn't big enough table for all 4 of us and where we can enjoy watching tv. One was on the bed, another on the other bed, one on the floor and the other on the couch where you could still see the TV.
Review 70：The pool was really nice, as well as the jacuzzi. The bed was pretty good, but the pillows were already flat. Nice shower and bathroom. I loved the air conditioning in the room. There was cable and wifi so it was really convienent and good to waste a bit of time on.

Review 73：Very small hotel lobby which is also the free breakfast area. Breakfast is either cereals, waffles or bagels. Drinks were orange juice and coffee only. But the staff refills these items quickly but not enough sitting areas. Bedding is old but rooms were clean.
Review 74：The pool and hot tub got cleaned daily. The staff was friendly! The boat dock was a plus! Easy access to the bay. The boat ramp is located at Parrot Eyes which is less than a block away. There is a fee to unload. Hotel offers boat slips. We went fishing in the am and pm due to the bay access. Being able to keep the boat in the water on the hotel's little pier was great!

Review 88：We get there and immediately have second thoughts because what we saw online was completely different. For what we paid for this "Resort", it wasn't even close to what we were expecting. I check in and instead of welcome and thank you and have a nice stay it's, "Breakfast is at 8am, and don't destroy any of our towels or you'll be charged accordingly". We get to the room and it just helped his musty damp smell. The condensation from the AC had soaked that area of the carpet. The comforter had tears in three different places. We got the King Jacuzzi room and it had dings and chips all over it along with some sort of JB weld or equivalent to hold one of the faucets together. When we woke, we went to breakfast and I felt like we showed up to someone's house without an invitation. We waited 15 min to make a waffle and took it back to our room. On the last day, I got out of the shower and opened one of fresh towels that housekeeping had brought and came to find a few brown stains as if they weren't cleaned and almost gagged. We had an evening fishing trip our last night and decided to not sleep and just hit the road early and check out. Didn't ask how our stay was, didn't ask if there were any issues. "Thanks, bye". I wouldn't doubt that this is probably one of the top 3 worst places to stay on South Padre Island.

Review 96：this was our 2nd time staying there, 1st time was great which is why we stayed again, but never again. couldnt even enjoy the pool. we actually counted 52 people in the pool, mostly kids and they all had tubes or dloats or whatever other pool toys. you literally couldnt hardly move! 1st made the reservation for 1 night but decided few days before to stay both. they wouldnt give us the room for what we reserved the 1st night for had to pay bout 50 bucks more, but we didnt want to switch hotels. not een enough parking! had to park on the street int he grass, but guess when theres 3 cars to 1 room there wont be enough parking!. just wasnt a good experiance, was very disappointed this time.

Review 105：Made my birthday at the island even more fun. The fishing pier and view is awesome! The hotel has bait to purchase (& even rods) which made it so convenient! The room was adorable, cozy, and worth the price. Staff was actually nice in my opinion. The patio tiny area is also a plus.
Review 106：Roaches in the room, AC didn't feel cool-felt humid in the room. The continental breakfest was limited and it will take an hour to make a waffle. Long lines and not enough equipment to help alleviate the wait. Also the hours of operation was only two hours. Should be at least three, since they only have one waffle machine. Will not stay there again.

Review 134：The pictures on booking.com made this place look so beautiful. NOT. The room was not clean, had not heater, cockroaches crawling up the walls outside. We got switched to another room because it was a cold rainy day and our room had no heater, the room the switched us to had no heater, so they switched us again, this time we had a heater, but found a cockroach that was about 2 inches long laying on our table. No bed protectors, just straight sheets on a mattress. Pictures are deceiving.......Oh and on the Bay.... NO. it was a channel coming in wide enough for a boat to dock, cant see the bay, cannot see the ocean..
