Review 1：My first time in San Francisco and I was looking for a hotel base close to the airport to get my bearings. Great facilities, lovely staff, helped me find local restaurants, local mall, taxi service to the door. I felt safe and well looked after.

Review 2：They're were ants in our first room. The second room's windows were wide open when we walked in making the room feel freezing.

Review 5：I booked this hotel at the last minute due to a delayed flight, and this was close to SFO. The hotel provides their own taxi service, which was very convenient. I had not been familiar with the Ascend Hotel Collection, so was very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful it was to stay there. With the antique style furnishings and gorgeous bedding, I felt like I was in a luxurious European hotel. Every detail seemed special. And it was extremely economical.

Review 6：Mattress was lopsided. The bathroom door wouldn't stay open. Plug for coffee pot was hard to access & required the pot to be moved to use.

Review 15：We have a lovely big suite, which even though overlooking the main road was very quiet. The Reception staff and cleaners where all very polite and helpful.

Review 16：My main problem was that the exercise room is quite poor, having no treadmills and poor equipment generally. To fulfill the claim of being a luxury place, they need to also fulfill this need of the clientele. I also think they should welcome early risers with coffee and fruit rather than opening the conversation with "there is no breakfast until 6:30". That's 9:30 on the east coast; a lot of travelers will need something earlier.

Review 22：We booked 5 nights based on the excellent reviews but left only after 2 nights. Bed was terrible. Felt like you were sleeping in a trough. Wash basin faucet was also terrible. Like washing up in the kitchen sink. Water splashed everywhere even when you had the flow very low. Single handle shower control was hard to use & wasted a lot of water. Parking spaces were very tight. Room was too small for the amount/type of furniture & was not practical.

Review 23：Staff was helpful & even offered to change our room but that might have only addressed the bed problem. Rooms were clean. Free WiFi was adequate. Breakfast was generous & varied. There was coffee, teas, milk & juices. Yogurt, apples, bananas, bagels, pastries, waffles & cereals.

Review 25：Hotels in San Francisco are very expensive. We decided to stay near the airport as this was more affordable. We are seniors so took advantage of San Franciscos almost free travel for seniors...one and two dollar rides on the cal train buses and trams. Well done San Francisco.

Review 36：It's close to SFO so you can still hear the noise of flights flying over the hotel. It's quite disturbing. Also the air conditioning was a problem for me. The air from the vent directly went directly toward the bed so it's very uncomfortable. But the room was too hot without air conditioning so I still have to leave it on.

Review 38：The Villa Montes is perfect for any layovers you may have in San Francisco. They provide a shuttle to and from the airport, their rooms are a bigger size than the usual in SF, there is a small refrig and a microwave as well as a safe, and free wi-fi. The location is close to the airport. We did not stay more than one day (June 10th and on June 28th) but we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was decent and their area quite large and comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Didn't get there for San Bruno, but for San Francisco and really was a great choice. Comparing the prices to those in SF, this is certainly an amazing fit.

Review 56：The only reason I would not give this hotel a superlative rating is to keep it to myself. Recently I had not made reservations in time and ended up staying, regretfully, elsewhere. While they do not have a restaurant, per se, San Mateo Avenue is a 5 minute walk with many restaurants. I would recommend it over any hotel on the Peninsula, except on the occasions I want to stay there.

Review 77：If my husband and I could give this stay 10 stars we would. Every one was so nice and helpful. Its not far from downtown San Francisco and using uber or lyft its very easy to get to. It was so quiet and the rooms were so clean. My husband and I do workout and the fitness room needs a little work but that's the only down fall... We will definitely be back!!!!!!

Review 82：The hotel is just a short cab ride away from SFO. They offer a free pick up / drop off. On arrival just call and a cab is sent. BART is about a 15 to 30 minutes walk away, depends if you are a power walker or take it more easy. Including the train, consider about an hour to be at the ferry building in SF. Worked perfect for me. Arrived lunch time and managed to spend the rest of the day at the wharf before heading back to the hotel, having a good rest before catching the flight early next morning.
